01/08/2026: A humble Japanese restaurant with good quality food. Nothing fancy, but exactly what you'd expect from a decent Japanese meal at a reasonable price. Close to Lille Flandres train station, they offer takeout for the train. The set menu is under €15 (I ordered the €4 option in the photo). I was served in 5 minutes. The atmosphere is calm and pleasant, and the staff is courteous and helpful. I recommend it.

15/08/2026: As a regular customer, both for takeout and dining in, I found the atmosphere last night borderline unpleasant. The room was unbearably hot, and the air conditioning barely worked except for the three tables next to it. The young waitress is new, so we'll overlook the imperfect moments, as she needs to learn, but getting sauce from the skewers on the shorts of the customer next to her was unacceptable. When serving a dish with sauce, you should check around the table... and not just say, "It's okay, it was a mistake..." as we heard! The staff preparing the sushi at the entrance should also wear hairnets; it's unhygienic, especially for those with long hair. The food, as usual, was excellent, but the service last night was truly unacceptable. What a shame!

11/08/2026: This is the second time we've been to this place, and I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness and flavors of our dishes. I highly recommend it! It was fantastic, and we'll definitely be back next time we're in the mood.

16/08/2026: Great Japanese restaurant! We had a lovely time at Okinawa. The concept of the A or B set menus is very appealing, as it allows you to choose your meal based on your appetite and get a price that suits you. The dishes are good, and the selection makes it easy to create your own meal. One small point for improvement: the coleslaw could be a little more acidic to be truly balanced. It's also a shame that the takeaway pickup area is right in the middle of the tables, which can slightly disrupt the atmosphere, even though the space is organized enough to find a quiet spot and enjoy your meal in peace. A place we recommend.

18/08/2026: Very disappointed with this experience at this restaurant. The food is really good, but unfortunately, the service and the wait time are simply unacceptable. We were the third table to arrive that evening, at 7:40 pm, and yet we weren't served until 9:15 pm, meaning we waited about an hour and a half for our meals, even though we were with two children. From the moment we had our aperitifs, we noticed a lack of attention: we didn't receive the complimentary chips that came with the drinks, while all the other tables did. We then had to ask three times for a carafe of water before finally getting one, at room temperature. As for me, I waited an hour and a half after ordering to receive my main course… which arrived without any sauce. So I had to wait another five minutes before I could eat properly. What's also hard to understand is that a table of six, who arrived well after us, was served before our table. When it came time to pay, no apology was offered for the interminable wait. We were simply told it was because several customers had arrived at the same time. However, we can clearly confirm that the customers did not all arrive simultaneously; they arrived gradually throughout the evening. And, let's not forget, we were the third table to arrive at the restaurant. It's a real shame, because the food is good. But a good meal isn't enough when the service is so slow and disorganized. We would have simply appreciated a minimum of explanation, attention, and above all, an apology for this nearly 1.5-hour wait. Such an experience is hardly acceptable, especially with children.

20/02/2026: I've lost count of how many times I've been to this restaurant or ordered from them. The dishes are magnificent, generous, and delicious. The staff is very pleasant, and the set menu is a real plus. I'll definitely be going back for a long time. Trying it is believing it! 🤩
