09/09/2026: Honestly... AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
We're talking about a €15 udon dish with more oil than sauce, and the flavor is clearly a mixed bag...
I ended up pouring oil from my container of noodles... OIL!!! Like it came straight from the bottle!!
And so much of it that I spilled it all over the floor... Unacceptable.
I even ended up draining them in a colander... and despite that, the dish unfortunately ended up in the bin... it was inedible.
There were also sushi rolls that weren't rolled properly, making them impossible to pick up, and of course, they were all piled on top of the order… Because it's no fun if the cheese in the sushi isn't melted :)
There are many other Japanese restaurants in the area, but this one is really not recommended… it's definitely one of the worst I've ever been to… even an all-you-can-eat buffet doesn't neglect quality this much…
It's a shame to have to give it one star for the food… it doesn't even deserve that.
Save your meal… DON'T GO THERE

25/08/2026: This is the best Japanese restaurant in the neighborhood. I eat there almost every lunchtime; the value for money is excellent. They have set menus with 16 royal maki rolls, soup, coleslaw, and dessert for €10.50—unbeatable! Plus, the owners are lovely. I highly recommend it.

21/08/2026: I'm counting calories, and an app found this restaurant after scanning my order. These avocado sushi were within my very low daily limit. The fish was good and fresh without any diet taste. The service is quick in this simple setting.
09/08/2026: I ordered sushi at this place for the first time. Nothing exceptional, like many sushi places in Strasbourg. The rice was decent and the fish was fresh, but unfortunately, it had been rather poorly deboned, so you have to be careful. I can't say it was bad overall, but I found some fairly large bones twice, which was really unpleasant.

02/09/2026: I've been eating at this restaurant regularly for 15 years. The menu is extensive and quite varied; you can find more than just sushi. The green tea and red beans are excellent.
However, the Matsuri menu is €17.50! That's way too expensive for lunch!

Excellent cuisine with fresh ingredients and beautiful presentation.

18/08/2026: Inedible. Spring rolls filled with oil, tasted burnt, and were tiny. Inside, there was no sign of shrimp, just some unidentifiable minced mixture. Tasteless rolls. Tiny portions. Processed food. I had to cook for myself at home because I was hungry.
