31/08/2026: I was very surprised by the mixed, even negative, reviews. We arrived in Cassis with a bit of a late-night craving: one of us wanted something completely sweet, the other a mix of savory and sweet. Huit et Demi did the trick perfectly: sweet and savory crepes with ice cream were just what we needed. Okay, some restaurants could certainly improve the presentation of their savory crepes. But we dealt with three different people (from ordering to payment at the register), three incredibly friendly and welcoming young men, even though we were just tourists passing through. And I observed the same kindness and simplicity with a couple after us who were hesitating between takeout and dining in. And yes, the bill was also reasonable compared to the restaurant next door where a Greek salad cost 25 euros. In short, a great place for a snack or lunch break at any time, with no unpleasant surprises and a warm welcome. Thank you to them.

29/08/2026: A lovely time at 8 et demi. Beautiful terrace with a direct view of the port of Cassis, a pleasant and sunny setting at the end of the day. The burrata was fresh and generous, and the warm goat cheese toast salad was nicely presented. However, the pizza was rather disappointing, and the fries were clearly from a store; homemade fries would have been a real plus. Friendly service, ideal setting for dining overlooking the boats.

22/07/2026: I don't understand the negative reviews. The restaurant is very, very good. The meat was excellent, and the service was very pleasant. We'll be back! And the prices are more than reasonable these days. Pauline

11/04/2026: A very bad experience at this Moroccan restaurant. The dishes were completely bland, tasteless, and flavorless. The semolina was sticky, far from the light texture one expects from a good couscous. We ordered couscous with lamb shank, but we were served a different piece of lamb, under the pretext that it was "better." This is unacceptable: we had requested a specific dish, and it was not served. The kebabs were undercooked, and overall, nothing evoked the richness and flavors of Moroccan cuisine. Furthermore, the hygiene was clearly lacking: the menus were sticky, the floor was sticky, and we could even hear the waiter's soles squeaking as he walked. The service was also very poor: we constantly felt like we were bothering them. Frankly, it was a very bad experience. We are very disappointed and had a very bad meal. We do not recommend it at all.

22/08/2026: I worked in the area for a week, tried many dishes, and can say that it has everything you could want from a Provençal village restaurant. The setting is beautiful, the staff is very friendly and responsive, the food is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable! I highly recommend it!

24/08/2026: I bought fruit juice on August 18, 2026, and realized a few days later that the expiration date was July 15, 2026... Luckily, I can tolerate eating some expired products, but it's outrageous to sell this as a regular product alongside everything else...

27/08/2026: After a cold and lengthy welcome, the food and service mirrored the initial reception. The plates were sad and under-seasoned; you had to go and get the salt yourself. It was expensive for what it was. You had to guess the starters, main courses, and desserts from the menu, and if you dared ask the owner for advice—since apparently creating a legible menu was too much work—you'd be met with a frosty reception. The only positive point was the young waiter who did his best to do his job properly despite the unpleasant woman's lack of cooperation. I do not recommend this establishment and wish the staff the best of luck.

23/08/2026: We had the Bricks, which were very good, both the ones with egg, the ones with tuna, and the ones with chicken. For our main course, we had the lemon chicken tagine, which was very good, while the chicken couscous arrived with the chicken a little undercooked, in our opinion. When we asked to cook the chicken a little longer, they said it was already cooked, but if we didn't like it, they would replace it with something else free of charge, so we opted for legumes; the dish was still good and filling. The price was fair for the quantity and quality of the food, but we were very surprised by the cash-only option. The place was a bit small and hot, and the fan directly above us wasn't particularly pleasant, but we at least managed to get it turned. Finally, it's a shame the staff wasn't particularly friendly.

11/08/2026: Craving some good couscous, this place looked tempting. The sauce and vegetables were very good. The merguez sausages were too salty and dry, probably made separately from the sauce. The wait was an hour, but the friendly waitress was working alone, and they also offer takeout. It's a shame they ran out of couscous at 9:00 PM. The price was very reasonable, and the waitress was smiling.

29/08/2026: Overall, a mixed experience. The setting is pleasant and the welcome was adequate, but unfortunately, the food doesn't live up to the prices. The dish was sorely lacking in flavor and freshness, which is a shame. This establishment has potential, but it deserves more attention to detail and consistency in the kitchen. With a little more care taken with the presentation, the experience could be much better. One star, but I could have given it zero.

08/06/2026: I'm giving it one star because, FYI, this Moroccan canteen at 23 rue Richer no longer exists...it's been replaced by a taco place! What a shame...

07/08/2026: I've been eating at this snack bar occasionally for years. The quality of the sandwiches has really gone downhill! The "taouk" meal costs around €11 for a sandwich containing barely three pieces of marinated taouk (with who-knows-what – we thought curry, given the color and taste), lettuce leaves that looked several days old, a small tray of tasteless fries, and a bottle of water. We won't be going back, which is a shame. What's more, the owner was entertaining his friend, and they were chatting loudly as if they were in their living room... there's absolutely no point in going there.
