28/07/2026: We have been coming to this restaurant for over 15 years and have been 3 times in 1 week this time we have been. To be unpleasantly surprised that on the last occasion visiting that we where charged and added to the bill 3 small sachets of butter the other 2 times this week and the previous 15 years this has never happened, we questioned it and the waiter was very very rude! Unacceptable behaviour

11/04/2026: My husband and I had a wonderful evening celebrating his birthday. The food was excellent: fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced seasoning… a true culinary journey for the taste buds. I had been there eight years ago and already had very fond memories. And eight years later, the excellence is still there. A big thank you to Houssame, who manages both the dining room and the kitchen so well. We ordered the tasting menu, the cheese fritters, and two teas: everything was perfect, from the moment we entered the restaurant until we left.

14/04/2026: The kebabs are decent, sometimes even good (especially the kebab and maxi kebab sandwiches), but ask for them well-cooked, grilled, or otherwise—it all depends...it's a gamble. Most of the time, the bread is soaked in grease, and the meat is cooked to the kebab maker's liking. In short, it's worth the price...not great at all, too unpredictable. (8/10: not great, undercooked, or burnt...when they actually deliver the right order...) I won't be ordering again...a shame...sometimes they're really good.

25/04/2026: A shame. Beautiful place, very disappointing experience. I came for the views, and the location is spectacular, like a painting. The waiters were very friendly and attractive, and the service was attentive. That's where the good points ended. The food was very disappointing: mussels were practically empty, the seafood was low quality except for the oysters, which were decent. The crab was overcooked and cold. The side dishes were meager and uninspired. All the dishes were cold. The worst part: they allow dogs in the dining room, and it was uncomfortable. We heard barking throughout the entire meal. It completely ruined the atmosphere. It creates false expectations. Such a beautiful place deserves a kitchen to match. For now, I won't be back. Pros: Beautiful location, views, good service Cons: Cold food, poor seafood, empty mussels, constant barking

24/07/2026: I received a very warm welcome, the menu is perfect, just one small detail: it would be better to offer a variety of sauces when ordering a piece of beef. That said, I highly recommend this establishment.

03/05/2026: The staff were very pleasant, but unfortunately, that wasn't enough to improve the overall experience. The establishment is run-down and cramped. The seawater pool is very small with only three massage jets for the large number of guests. The hammam was lukewarm and too small for the number of people. We opted for the brunch package and were very surprised to find that drinks were extra (tea and coffee are essential at brunch...). It's more like a buffet than a brunch offering. However, the buffets are regularly replenished, so there's no problem there. Once is enough; the value for money is completely unacceptable.

28/04/2026: A beautiful place to relax, with many treatments available, including a hammam and sauna. The leisure pool could perhaps use some fountains/waterfalls? My 4-star rating is due to the lack of parking, as finding free parking in Deauville isn't always easy! But it was a wonderful experience! PS: Don't miss the tea fountains once you've put on your bathrobe :)

19/05/2026: December 2024 I still think about my experiences at this restaurant to this day, which is why I feel moved to write this review. During my very first visit to France, I had the pleasure of dining at Le Bersot de l’Orient. I was staying nearby, and it became my go-to place throughout my two-week stay. I visited frequently; for brunch, lunch, dinner, and even supper. I also dined both alone and with friends, and each visit was memorable. Across every visit, the food was consistently delicious and deeply satisfying. Hailing from Singapore, a tropical island where I am more familiar with Southeast Asian cuisine, dining de l’Orient was new and exciting. At the same time, the flavours were unexpectedly nostalgic. During the winter months, the meals felt especially warm and hearty. I looked forward to the food to restore me after a long day of walking through the city. It is simple in the best way: honest, filling, and full of comfort, making it an excellent option for both lunch and late dinner. On one occasion, I brought a group of around twelve people, and we shared platters together. The atmosphere was lively yet easygoing, and it became a natural gathering point before continuing our evening plans. Dining here worked just as well for quiet meals as it did for group outings. I also appreciated that the food served is halal, and that the establishment is Muslim-owned, which gave me comfort as a Muslim diner. The washroom is clean and spacious. There is a bar area separate from the kitchen, and while alcoholic beverages are served, it is clearly distinct from the dining space -- something I note for Muslim patrons who may prefer to know. The restaurant itself is not extravagant, but it is warm, cosy, and memorable. It is located in a very walkable and convenient area, making it easy to return to throughout a stay in the city. The surrounding streets add to the atmosphere, especially in the evening when everything feels softly alive. I am deeply thankful to the Le Bersot de l’Orient team for taking such good care of me and for feeding us so well during my stay. These meals brought both comfort and joy during my time in France. More than just food, they were quiet moments of grounding in a foreign place, and they remain with me still. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area. I wish them continued success, and many more years of serving food that brings people the same quiet comfort it brought me. Merci beaucoup.

07/06/2026: My son and I came today at lunchtime. I ordered two chicken tacos, but the man at the register, who wore glasses, took my order hastily, phone in hand, and we only realized when we got home that he had given us kebabs instead. It's really unfortunate.

26/07/2026: Absolutely avoid this place!!! They only accept credit cards for purchases over €20! I wanted to buy a pack of cigarettes for €13, and they told me I had to buy a drink and a lighter. I said it was mandatory, and the woman refused to serve me because "she didn't like my behavior." Absolutely unacceptable!!

22/07/2026: A very pleasant place; the new management has revitalized this bar, located very close to the famous Croisette. Friendly welcome and warm atmosphere. Highly recommended!
