28/04/2026: Fantastic 2-night stay in a modern mobile home with a furnished terrace (including a griddle). Access to the lake and all the nearby activities is a real bonus. The lovely team is always available, making the stay comfortable in every way!

21/01/2026: Very good and the price is right! The chef is incredibly friendly and it's easy to chat with him while he prepares your meal. The service is quick and friendly! Two big pluses: it's about 20 meters from the train station and there's an open kitchen, so you can smell all the spices and seasonings. It really whets your appetite, making the dish taste even better! In short! It's good, it's fast, it's well located, and it's inexpensive. Go for it!

06/01/2026: A place that doesn't look like much at first glance, but hides a good selection of homemade French-Italian cuisine. The service is efficient and friendly. The dining room has a simple, rustic atmosphere. All this for under €20 with the set menu – it's really a great find!

06/05/2026: Excellent cuisine in the countryside! The seasonal, locally sourced dishes were delicious! The trout tartare with beetroot butter was excellent, the asparagus dishes were very good, and the floating island dessert, while a classic, was very well presented. I highly recommend this restaurant (there's a large fireplace for grilled meats!). The service is impeccable too! PS: The place has excellent acoustics: very quiet, which is lovely!

05/05/2026: We celebrated one of our sons' birthdays with family at Le Prieuré. The dinner was excellent, especially the dry-aged beef ribs cooked over a wood fire, the asparagus risotto, and a divine strawberry cake! Kudos to the chef and his professional and very friendly team!

We originally came to La Monnerie but stopped in Thiers just to eat at your place, despite the 40-minute drive from our home in Clermont-Ferrand. 24/08/2025: We ate there three years ago on our way back from vacation, and we did the same again this year... and it was just as excellent as ever! The frogs' legs with their gratin (simply superb), the black-eyed pea mushrooms... in short, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and so did our children! We learned that they're retiring in a month (well deserved!!) but that the next generation will be in good hands... stay tuned! 28/04/2026: Shocked by the head waiter's unprofessionalism. Being in the industry myself, I can't understand how this can be tolerated. The only smile and few words we received from him were when we paid. The young waiter, on the other hand, was very kind, smiling, and pleasant. I do not recommend this restaurant. We came twice, and both times were unpleasant experiences.
