12/10/2026: **Shameful Experience: Room Refused, €200 Charged Despite Everything** We had booked a room for 2 adults and 1 child. Before our late arrival, we called the hotel to let them know, and they confirmed it wouldn't be a problem. However, upon arrival, they insisted we cancel our Booking.com reservation and pay the hotel directly, offering us a room with air conditioning for an extra charge. When we refused, they refused to give us the room key. It was late, dark, and pouring rain. We had our child with us and had to urgently find another hotel for the night, which we paid for ourselves. The most outrageous part? The hotel still charged us **€200 for a night we didn't spend there and for which we were refused entry**. We have kept all available evidence and have contacted Booking.com to report this situation. Unfortunately, a phone conversation is not always sufficient to prove what actually happened: be sure to keep all written records and supporting documents from your conversations. We find it shameful to treat guests this way, leaving them stranded in the middle of the night with a child, and then charging them for an unused night. Based on our experience, we absolutely do not recommend this establishment.

20/08/2026: At this establishment, when you order sausage with potatoes, they serve you 7 sausage slices and a handful of potatoes. I was disappointed 😞.

19/08/2026: We were delighted with our visit to Ho Bistro! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves; everything was delicious. Everything was perfect, from the food to the service. The staff are lovely and always smiling! We wholeheartedly recommend this place. We will definitely be back! 👏✨

21/09/2026: My husband and I are still enjoying our meal on the terrace. This restaurant is fantastic!! The welcome was very warm, and the food was excellent. The beef was incredibly tender, and the chocolate mousse was delicious. The tuna pizza my husband had was succulent, as was the Madagascar vanilla crème brûlée—a pure delight. The service was simply flawless, combining kindness, dedication, and professionalism despite the staff's youth. I have only one thing to say to anyone passing through Thiers... Go to Emma's table. You'll be won over.

01/08/2026: A lovely little restaurant with an incredibly warm welcome! Not only did they accept our dog (in their air-conditioned dining room, no less!), but they were also kind enough to offer him a drink and be extremely accommodating! The pizzas are excellent, so we ended our vacation with a wonderful meal! A big thank you to MelYssa and the entire team who served us that evening, and best of luck to everyone!

05/01/2026: My Sunday favorite ❤️ L’Auberge de Ceilloux offers a modern take on traditional Auvergne cuisine, featuring local and seasonal produce. The wine list is small but perfectly complements the dishes prepared on-site. Terrines, poultry, roasts... everything is cooked in the restored wood-fired oven, and the bread and pastries are also made and baked there. Everything is homemade, from appetizer to dessert, using fresh, local ingredients. Excellent and very generous portions. Set menu at €32, including appetizer, main course, cheese, and dessert. Vegetarians, please let us know when making your reservation; the chef will be happy to prepare alternative dishes, as the menu is set. Parking is available near the restaurant. Reservations are required due to limited seating. Highly recommended.

12/09/2026: Great restaurant! We came last night (September 11th) with our baby. The service and welcome were top-notch, with a special touch for our son. It was delicious and very generous portions. The manager even offered us complimentary cocktails at the end. We'll definitely be back! 🥰

15/10/2026: Located in a residential and office area on the edge of the city center, parking is difficult. The service is overly friendly, with an exaggerated Thai attitude. The ambiance is poor. The menu is unusual and badly described; curry is practically nonexistent, and many other common dishes are also missing. The food is awful: zero ingredients, zero flavor, and meager portions. Presentation is unappealing. Absolutely not recommended.

15/09/2026: Upon our arrival Sunday evening in Mont Dore, we discovered this establishment with its refined atmosphere and attentive staff. For our meal, we opted for the signature dish, Stuffed Cabbage. It was very tasty, as was the apple and cinnamon dessert. 07/09/2026: I have rarely had the pleasure of enjoying such a wonderful, delicious meal. The leg of lamb was tender, incredibly flavorful, and the side dishes were superb. The service was exemplary, and the price was very reasonable (€65 for two people).

02/07/2026: This little inn is worth the trip if you appreciate simple, home-style cooking that's actually very good. The welcome is truly warm and the service impeccable. There are two choices for starter/main/dessert, but the price is more than reasonable. We loved it!
