36 degrees outside, 33 in the room. No air conditioning. You open the window, but it's right next to a very busy main road. Day and night.
For breakfast, it's best to arrive first. The mini pastries aren't plentiful.
Finally, if you want to sleep, I wouldn't recommend it, especially in the heat. I experienced this during the heatwave at the end of May.

Disappointed with the food. I booked half-board for dinner and was surprised not to find a starter and dessert buffet as advertised on your website, and to have to pay €7 per glass for wine, which was included in the half-board package.

As an aside, Europavox was packed with Americans. We ate next to a table of five guys who spent their time bragging loudly in English about how they were going to pick up French girls. Good luck, guys! 🫡
22/06/2026: I have the advantage of working nearby and I go to Subway at least three times a week, sometimes even five days a week. However, lately, I've noticed a decline in the customer service.
I want to clarify that this doesn't apply to the entire team: some employees remain very friendly and pleasant. On the other hand, at lunchtime, I often see the same people, and the interactions are regularly cold, even disdainful.
I've also noticed a difference in behavior depending on whether or not the managers are present. When they're there, the welcome and service generally seem more pleasant and professional. However, when they're not, the atmosphere sometimes seems more tense, and some interactions with customers can be less warm. Of course, this is just my impression, but it's one that has been confirmed over the course of my visits.
I completely understand that working in the restaurant industry is difficult, especially with the current heat. Nevertheless, I am a courteous customer; I almost always order the same thing and always try to be respectful. Yet, sometimes I leave with an unpleasant feeling.
For example, when the vegetables are served in a very small quantity and you simply ask for a little more, the response is sometimes curt, explaining that there is already enough. I would be perfectly willing to pay extra if necessary. I also understand that an overstuffed sandwich can be more difficult to close. My problem, therefore, is not the quantity itself, but rather the way the comments are phrased. I think it's possible to address customers with more consideration.
Furthermore, I was recently with a colleague who ordered the Subway of the day. No one informed us that the prices had changed. He ended up paying €9.20. When we checked the sign outside after we left, we discovered that the menu was advertised at €9.60. I think it's a shame that this option wasn't offered to him directly.
Given the reception he received, my colleague didn't want to ask for an explanation about the price of the sandwich alone. Without the sign, we probably wouldn't have understood the price difference anyway.
I realize that one less customer won't change the restaurant's revenue and that this comment might not have much of an impact. It's a shame, because I really enjoyed coming to this restaurant.

After one drink, we left. Very poor service and absolutely no customer care.
I recommend never going there.

09/06/2026: The staff's friendliness needs improvement! Not a hello, not a thank you when we picked up our orders. Not even a tiny smile. A customer was practically shoved aside by one of your colleagues right in front of me so she could get through. While I had no issues with the food itself, it doesn't make me want to come back.
09/06/2026: Twice there's been an error with my order, so I'm being charged extra.
I reported it, but they couldn't care less, no compensation whatsoever.
The staff is completely incompetent.

27/03/2026: An old-fashioned, working-class restaurant, with all that implies: inexpensive (set menu €15.90 for a starter, main course, cheese, and dessert), basic but efficient and hearty (don't expect a gourmet experience, but you'll leave with a full stomach, and it's definitely not fast food).
The decor is also old-fashioned, but that's part of its charm.
The owner is, again, old-fashioned: it's all or nothing, and it's best not to expect a big, welcoming smile; you might be disappointed. Restaurant vouchers not accepted.

08/05/2026: Disappointment. A shame, because the location is fantastic. Whether it's a change of staff or ownership, I don't know, but the wait for our order was far too long, and the wait between courses was also excessive, even though the restaurant was only half full. Perhaps the staff were absent, but the delays were unacceptable and there was no explanation.
The food was average. The gourmet experience is gone. The Petit Futé guide's rating is outdated. In short, disappointed.
For true gourmets, discover La Rivière des Parfums. More expensive, but in a league of its own in terms of taste.
