30/01/2026: Every day, five starters, five main courses (fish, white meat, flank steak, stew, etc.) and desserts are offered for around €20. For an extra charge, you can enjoy a delicious ribeye steak (see photo). The food is prepared by two chefs, Emilie and François, who are friendly and, above all, highly skilled, judging by the delicious results on our plates. And then there was the wonderful discovery of homemade foie gras (see photo)! A small but excellent wine list offers selections by the glass or bottle, including a superb LEROUGE champagne from a small producer in the Marne region. As for the waitstaff, they are incredibly efficient, attentive, and friendly. Five stars are well-deserved for the entire team! What a delightful brasserie! Highly recommended!

22/02/2026: I definitely won't be going back. It's a restaurant I really like, but today I was very disappointed. There were two of us, we ordered the same dish (rigatoni Genovese), and we both found a hair on our plates. They apologized and, of course, asked if we wanted to change it, which we agreed to since we were already seated, but that was it. They did nothing more, no gesture whatsoever to address the situation.

30/01/2026: I came a few days ago with colleagues. The back room is pleasant, although the tables are too small considering the size of the portions. I had a very good vegetarian dish. However, I was disappointed that the pitas weren't homemade, and the drinks were sold in cans, not glass bottles.

05/03/2026: Traditional cuisine Homemade food Excellent andouillette sausage and the fries were delicious. The little one received a chocolate yule log as a gift from the Milly chocolate shop. And whenever possible and in season, many of the products come from local farmers.
28/11/2025: We went there for the first time and we'll definitely be back! A warm and welcoming restaurant where Corinne gave us a very friendly welcome. The menu is simple and very reasonably priced. We started with a homemade soup to whet our appetites and warm us up, followed by a tender and generous ribeye steak for two with real homemade fries – in short, a delight! And to finish, a delightful array of homemade desserts! See you soon, La Forêt!

You feel right at home when, during your meal, you see the server greet a familiar customer with a big smile before embracing them. The food is good and reasonably priced; we loved the crispy chicken with its sauce and pieces of ginger. We can't wait to return and explore the rest of the menu, and we hope you enjoy it just as much.
19/01/2026: Best local rice dish in the Île-de-France region! The cuisine is traditional, excellent, and generous, and the waiter is very kind and smiling. The dishes are varied and made with love. Don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed!

12/03/2026: I came this evening with my husband to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. I'm extremely disappointed with the owner and the restaurant's policies. Apparently, you can't even ask a simple question without being thrown out like dirt. My husband and I are two respectable and very polite people. I simply asked the waitress, who was very kind, if there was a dog in the kitchen, as several reviews confirm. I simply wanted to know, and I believe I have the right to know. The owner spoke to us very rudely and politely asked us to leave. I've never seen an establishment owner react so unprofessionally. Given his very exaggerated reaction, I conclude that it's true: everyone does what they want. The problem isn't even the dog anymore, but rather the owner who dares to speak to human beings as if we were less than nothing. Unacceptable.
02/03/2026: We had some doubts after browsing online. We were wrong, despite the restaurant's high volume of customers slightly impacting the continuity of service. The dishes were truly excellent: lobster ravioli with lightly salted beurre monté, just the right hint of iodine; a beautiful sea bass baked in a salt crust "like on the banks of the Bosphorus," if I may say so, with truffle oil mashed potatoes. The desserts were equally impressive, with Grand Marnier soufflé and flambéed pineapple. The reality on the plate lived up to the enticing descriptions, which is hardly surprising: Chef Mikael Briens is a well-traveled Breton. As for the manager of this lovely establishment, he has selected some excellent wines, such as the Côtes de Provence from Domaine Ott, Clos Mireille Blanc de Blancs (Sémillon/Rolle); and he is eager to further enhance the wine list. A very nice prelude, in short, to the visit of the incredible Auberge Ganne, which houses the departmental museum of the painters of Barbizon, and then of the Millet Workshop with its friendly Lebanese caretaker.

14/02/2026: What a shame... Beautiful place... Beautiful setting... But lacking in refinement, what a pity! No white tablecloth or napkins. Lots of potential, lovely room, lovely piano music. The fireplace is just for show; a glass of champagne in the lounge by a nice fire would be much better.
23/01/2026: Fantastic experience at Le Relais de l’Écluse! We went recently and loved it. Even in winter it was very pleasant, and the terrace right next to the Seine definitely makes you want to come back in the warmer months: it must be absolutely wonderful in the summer. As for the food, the menu is excellent, and a special mention for vegetarians: there's a vegetarian dish on the menu, and they can also adapt it to requests, which is really appreciated (this isn't always the case). The interior dining room is beautiful and bright, and the manager who was there that day was very friendly. A place we'll definitely keep in mind and return to! ✅

12/01/2026: I booked a table for four this Monday, January 12th, because my favorite bistro was closed that day. The food is good, but not amazing. However, the service is shockingly amateurish: - The staff couldn't find my reservation and practically attacked me for not having booked with them over the phone. - Two waitresses forgot an order. - One of the waitresses made comments and remarks that were more than inappropriate. I expect this in a roadside diner, not a fine dining establishment. Best of luck.

01/03/2026: The food is decent but not exceptional. In our opinion, the prices are too high for the quality offered. We were also disappointed by the chipped dishes, which detracted from the experience. Unfortunately, we don't plan to return.
