The menu looks great and the setting is gorgeous.
Support local restaurants, or soon there will only be kebab shops left!

05/08/2026: After 3 weeks of vacation in Gonfaron and its surroundings, for the last evening we went to the little restaurant Chez Alain, Restaurant La Victoire in Gonfaron, where we received a very warm welcome and ate very well for a more than reasonable price.
26/07/2026: We had a wonderful time celebrating Grandma's birthday. Alain is incredibly kind and attentive, and the food was fantastic. The portions were very generous, and the desserts were absolutely divine. Thank you for this exceptional experience.

29/07/2026: As soon as you open the door, you're greeted by a rather dim and uninviting space.
The dining room itself is nicely decorated and clean.
The service could be better; there was no real interaction, just the bare minimum.
The couscous was excellent: the semolina was very fine, the mechoui was perfectly cooked, and the vegetables were delicious.
A good place to recommend.

Tagine, couscous, Bastila, etc.
Welcoming and friendly staff.
Affordable prices.
The only problem noted is the parking, which is a bit difficult.

01/10/2026: I finally got to try the pastrami pannizzi, and it was a total disappointment. The meat was inedible; absolutely EVERY piece of pastrami was attached to a large chunk of fat or a sinew. I can't even describe the feeling of chewing a piece of leather and having to spit it out every time. It was a good idea, but I'm going to have a word with the trainee chef who dared to cut a piece of meat without realizing he was cutting into 2mm-thick skin.
Pathetic.
26/09/2026: I ordered a kebab taco with ketchup... I discovered when I got home a tender taco with white sauce and soggy reheated fries... First and last time for me.

19/09/2026: A fantastic find! Kholam Factory offers a truly generous selection: Indian dishes, burgers, naan, and naan sandwiches… There's something for everyone, and the portions are hearty. I especially love their Indian dishes—flavorful and perfectly spiced. I highly recommend this place!
12/09/2026: Tasteless, undercooked meat, no flavor whatsoever, ice cream machine broken. After we were allowed to order our ice cream, and after 25 minutes, we were told the machine was broken. We ordered a Nutella donut, and the same thing happened. Forget it; the waitress had to sort it out. In short, never again.

15/09/2026: I've been to this McDonald's several times. Of all the orders I've placed, today was the first time my order was complete. They very frequently forget the sauces (at 35 cents a sauce, I'd like to have some in my bag!).
Today we waited 20 minutes for our order (a sharing box and two sandwiches), and my Coke wasn't even fizzy... Needless to say, the restaurant was almost empty, and there was only one car in the drive-thru!
In short, I don't recommend this McDonald's, which makes its customers wait so long when there's no one to serve...
07/09/2026: Frankly, it's becoming more and more pathetic. A 35-minute wait when the restaurant is empty, their food is already made of cardboard and their sandwiches are poorly made. They should have a Burger King instead because it's better and cheaper.

15/09/2026: What a delightful surprise Sunday lunch with friends and family at La Terrasse du Chatel was!
There were 13 of us, and Nicolas managed to find us a table in a restaurant that was already quite full! A warm welcome, impeccable service, and excellent value for money for a touristy spot!
15/09/2026: They told us there were only tables outside when half the restaurant was empty. Then the food took forever, and they didn't even make the slightest effort to explain that I had to leave for an event.
