31/05/2026: Today I got food poisoning from their meat; I made the mistake of ordering a pizza and wings. The wings were completely dry and tasteless, just spicy. I reckon they'd been out for over an hour. Thanks a lot, I had to go to the hospital.

11/05/2026: I delayed writing this review due to the amount of work involved and my lack of enthusiasm for it. At €175 per night in April 2026, we were given a room that I can't imagine being rented in winter given its poor insulation. Since we were only there for a few hours outside of our booked night (for hiking in the area), I didn't waste my short weekend fighting to get everything that was so obviously wrong fixed: - The room was completely outdated, "luxurious" in the 60s but hadn't been updated since? Never mind; - Fridge that doesn't cool at all since it's no longer producing cold air (even though it's plugged in and switched on), - TV screen completely shattered, unusable (see video), - Rusty/beige water dripping from the shower (which supports the theory of a nightmarish room, a relic reserved only for the summer season we were given; nevertheless, one could wonder when the last cleaning had been done...), - Freezing bathroom (a cave!) and the towel warmer doesn't work either, - Toilet that struggles to flush, - Bathroom door that no longer closes, - Door handles practically broken, - We're not afraid of spiders, luckily for us, - View of....??? Definitely not the garden as indicated in my reservation, but a rooftop adjoining a ventilation system running at full blast on one side and...nothing (see video) on the other (which is convenient, since the window is so old it's a struggle to open). A real rip-off considering the price (I was asked to pay the tourist tax upon arrival, without even seeing the room). The overall welcome and staff were nonetheless friendly (the bare minimum, given the situation) and did their job to secure parking, which was also mentioned as part of the service. But given the circumstances, it's difficult to judge the quality of service, as the gap between the expected minimum standard and the reality is so dilapidated! (to put it politely). In the lobby, the clientele was 95% Asian (by "rough estimate," of course): I hope the service was better for them! Finally, on a positive note, as far as we're concerned: the bed was very large and very comfortable!
05/05/2026: We stayed two nights at the inn, which had changed hands about ten days prior. Of course, everything wasn't perfect, but the staff's kindness made us forget the minor imperfections. The inn has certainly aged, and one can only hope it will regain its former glory. However, it has retained its charm, and those interested in the history of Barbizon will find reminders of its prestigious past. The rooms are comfortable without being luxurious. The restaurant menu could be expanded and supplemented with a set menu, but the dishes are well-prepared. The setting is pleasant, and one feels at home there.

07/05/2026: It took over 30 minutes to receive my order, which was supposed to be on hold. The meal arrived cold, and the manager was very cold and overwhelmed. I'm very disappointed and angry about the deplorable service this evening. Perhaps a little reprimand for your evening staff would be in order. The cold fries should be thrown back into the bin to mix with the fresh ones. In short, I strongly advise against going there after 8 pm.

The meat is cut very straight and in a rectangular shape, like in those industrial packages, and it has no taste. It's sad because the meat used to be good. And on top of that, there was no cheese...
03/12/2025: The staff were lovely, warm, and always smiling. There was a wide selection on the menu, and the prices were very reasonable despite the recent increase. The service was quick, and the food was delicious. Thanks again to the team for always being so pleasant. I highly recommend it.

The staff was very friendly and was happy to speak English whenever we asked for assistance. A Starbucks coffee is definitely a must-have whenever I visit Disneyland in Paris.

The cakes are undeniably delicious, which is why I come back regularly. However, several recurring problems spoil the experience. First, I've been disappointed on several occasions by the personalized lettering on the cakes. Whether it's mistakes, a sloppy presentation, or a result that doesn't match my request at all, it's particularly frustrating, especially for important occasions. Second, I've noticed a lack of consistency in the quality of the products: runny icing, sloppy finishing touches… and even, at one birthday party, a completely burnt puff pastry. This kind of mistake is hardly acceptable for a pastry shop. Another regrettable point is the frequent staff turnover, which gives an impression of disorganization and clearly undermines the consistency of the service. What's most disappointing is the lack of consideration for loyal customers. I went to the store to voice my concerns, but I wasn't taken seriously. I was told to send an email, which I did… and more than six months later, I still haven't received a reply. It's a real shame, because there's potential, but today the lack of follow-up, rigor, and customer service leaves me with a very negative impression. In short: good products in principle, but too many inconsistencies and a failing customer service department. Very disappointed.

The latest: a lack of judgment and professionalism from the cashier who charged me individually for the mini pastries because "the pack only includes one of each." Unfortunately, when one variety is out of stock, it's difficult to get one of each. In short, I know this can be complicated for some, but seriously, they need to raise the standards of the staff, or, more likely, the management who gives this kind of directive. This would prevent their employees from having these unpleasant experiences, which are difficult to defend legitimately.

The reception staff are great, super friendly and helpful, but that's about it. At breakfast, everyone seemed disorganized and glum – no wonder, given the swarm of unruly children (and one adult). The room itself was okay. The bed was comfortable. The refrigerator smelled strange, and there were no slippers or bathrobes in the room – a real shame (especially with the carpet in the room 🤢). The bathroom had definitely seen better days; there were stains in the toilet. The bathtub was tiny for showering. They used paper cups (!) as toothbrush holders. There were paper cups (!) for the kettle. Tea and coffee weren't even refilled. Furthermore, the hotel is very noisy. Teenagers were quite loud in the hallways and rooms until midnight, and around 6 a.m., we were woken up by toddlers. The bathroom had definitely seen better days; there were stains in the toilet. The bathtub was small for showering. They used paper cups (!) for toothbrushes. Paper cups (!) for the kettle. The tea and coffee weren't even refilled. Furthermore, the hotel is very noisy. And the breakfast buffet was a total disappointment – ​​not worthy of a 4-star hotel. Plastic plates, plastic cups, and strange cutlery. Imagine being an adult in a 4-star hotel and being served plastic dishes! (The only exceptions were the coffee cup and cereal bowl.) The selection was also unsatisfactory – you get better in most B&Bs without stars. The scrambled eggs from a packet were very lumpy. There was only one type of sliced ​​cheese or Brie. The only positive things to mention were the croissants and the baguette. On top of that, there were almost €20 per day for parking, as well as an additional tourist tax per person per night. Everything was very geared towards a "children's hotel," almost like a youth hostel, but it's labeled as a 4-star hotel. Conclusion: We definitely won't be coming back. And I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

14/05/2026: A shock! Poor hygiene, no food available from the moment they opened, no atmosphere, no professionalism. Very few choices in the menu. Only one noodle dish, only one rice dish. The food is cold and tasteless, really poorly cooked, nothing Asian about it, completely bland. The displays are dirty, the ingredients look expired, lack freshness. I really do not recommend it. IT'S DISRESPECTFUL!!!! I don't think the owners themselves eat this kind of food. RUN AWAY!
14/05/2026: Frankly, a huge disappointment. In the photos on the website and social media, the restaurant looks clean, modern, and well-stocked… but once you're there, it's the complete opposite. The atmosphere is cold, the dining room dreary, the display cases dirty, the lack of maintenance obvious, and the hygiene truly questionable. The "all-you-can-eat" buffet is practically empty, with very little choice, several dishes missing, and nothing appetizing. We even preferred to avoid the seafood because its overall condition was so unappetizing. The staff is inattentive, and the organization leaves much to be desired. As for some customers, they show no respect: they rush to grab the little food available, creating a very unpleasant atmosphere. Honestly, the restaurant advertised online is nothing like reality. We strongly advise against this establishment until a real effort is made regarding hygiene, quality, and customer service. Avoid this restaurant.

18/03/2026: A customer for over 10 years! Unfortunately, for some time now, the quality has declined, much to my dismay. The taste is gone. The salmon pizza is practically tasteless. The four-cheese pizza has no flavor. And the paninis are equally bland. Goodbye.
