10/05/2026: The food was good, but they cleared the table too quickly. I didn't have time to finish my meal, and my glass of champagne was taken away even though it was full. We were a large group celebrating a birthday.

13/04/2026: The pleasures of Peillon are akin to a renewed sense of happiness. This restaurant infuses love into every dish. It's not just a restaurant, but an encounter. First, an encounter with a perched village. This is the initial contact, the first moment of wonder. Perched on a rocky spur, the medieval village reveals itself around a bend, nestled and proud. Then comes the encounter with Romain and his mother, two magnificent, complementary personalities. Romain in the kitchen, with his warm and engaging manner, his mother with her tender heart. Next, an encounter with the place itself, a village house, once inhabited by the actor Claude Brasseur. A few tables are tucked away under the eaves. From the dining room, one glimpses the village through windows made of glass hand-blown by master glassmakers. And then, of course, comes the encounter with the cuisine. Romain pours his heart and soul into it. With words as sharp as a butcher's cleaver, he evokes the local terroir, recounts the aroma of a meat, and describes with relish the delicate sweetness of his incomparable gratin dauphinois, as if he were speaking of a childhood sweetheart. Romain is an artist, a master of flavor, who likely inherited his talent from his Goncourt Prize-winning grandfather, the author Bernard Clavel. Romain plays with flavors with the same brilliance his grandfather displayed with words. The energy of the place is unparalleled. You feel like you're part of a family, transported to another time. The price is surprisingly reasonable, considering the incredible quality of the meal, enhanced by homemade bread baked by the chef himself. Did you say perfection?

30/03/2026: This was definitely the most amazing restaurant my boyfriend and I visited in Nice, and we'll definitely go back. A three-course meal for dinner Monday through Thursday is only €31, which is incredibly affordable. If you want to upgrade to a soufflé for dessert, there's a slight extra charge. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the food was excellent value for the price. The only minor disappointment that day was that the sardines had some bones that were a little difficult to remove, but it didn't detract from the overall experience. (It seems they change their three-course menu every week.)

26/04/2026: An absolutely exceptional experience! The setting is already a delight: you enjoy a very pleasant environment, with pine trees just overhead, and despite the nearby road, the place remains surprisingly calm and peaceful. The service is top-notch: a warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive team. You feel comfortable from beginning to end. As for the food… words fail me. The appetizers were as beautiful as they were delicious—probably among the best I've ever had. A real surprise, both visually and in terms of taste. The main courses, which aren't always the highlight in some restaurants, were absolutely remarkable here. Every bite was a treat: original combinations, meticulous presentation, and above all, incredible flavor. The desserts were more classic in their approach, but perfectly executed. Simple and effective. Special mention to the chef: as someone who is usually much more drawn to sweet than savory food, I savored each dish as if it were a piece of candy. That's how successful it was! A memorable experience from beginning to end. I highly recommend it.

05/03/2026: The food is very good and the service is courteous and efficient. However, there's a major drawback regarding the champagne: - First, there's a lack of transparency about the champagnes offered on the menu. Only the name of the cheapest champagne is listed. - When you ask the waiter (who seems very embarrassed), he specifies the name of the champagne, but be warned: despite the significant price difference, the cheapest champagne is served by the glass! And this happens three times! This is unacceptable! These are all the little tricks used by (unscrupulous) restaurant owners after the MIPIM conference or during the summer season to inflate their profit margins. It's a shame because it tarnishes the image of this fabulous city! Ask to taste the champagne 🍾 before being served, and ask for the bottle to be presented.

02/05/2026: This review concerns only the restaurant. We had a lovely meal with friends on the terrace of the Auberge du Vieux Château. After a superb welcome upon arrival from Cyril and his team, we chose to try the lunch menu offered by Chef Tim CINQUIN and his staff. To start, a delicious sea bream ceviche with exotic spices: a feast for the eyes and the palate. Next came a delicate fillet of red mullet, accompanied by Provençal vegetables. Finally, to complete this experience, a raspberry craquelin éclair with light lavender cream and pistachio ice cream, a creation of pastry chef Marck SAINT-ETIENNE: once again, a visual and gustatory delight. One of my friends, a vegetarian, was able to enjoy dishes perfectly adapted by the chef. The entire team is incredibly attentive, both in the kitchen and in the dining room. A big thank you to them all for this wonderful experience.

The service is attentive and pleasant, without being intrusive. I chose pasta with tomato sauce and burrata, and it was a real treat: simple yet high-quality ingredients, a flavorful and perfectly balanced sauce, and a creamy burrata that adds a touch of indulgence to the dish. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for a delightful experience enjoying authentic Italian cuisine. I will gladly return!

I'm renovating my house next door and don't have a kitchen yet, and it was a very pleasant surprise: generous portions, the duck breast cooked to perfection. The ingredients were fresh and high-quality, and the salad was prepared to order, so adjustments were possible. A real treat! And the portion was very generous, excellent value for money.
