26/04/2026: I came with a group of friends for dinner on a Saturday night and we queued for a while which seems to be normal. Very busy but had staff organising people in table by table. The staff were friendly and professional and the service was pretty quick and well sectioned once inside despite being very busy. The food, drinks and dessert were all very good. Although the steaks we ordered at different doneness levels they did all seem to be cooked quite the same and quite rare. But we were all still pleased with the food and it was all delicious. Due to the high intensity of customers and fast paced service I did notice the restaurant was quite messy but overall the experience was good and I would come back :)

23/04/2026: We had booked for 10 people for 3 days before the restaurant closed. When the (incredibly arrogant) waitress came to take our orders, she simply told us that there were only 3 fondues left. The staff was incredibly dishonest, as they should have mentioned this when we made the reservation by phone, especially since the restaurant is supposed to serve Savoyard specialties… This same waitress then mocked us as we were leaving, laughing and saying "unbelievable." In short, dishonest and disrespectful staff; avoid this place!

13/04/2026: Crazy man. He shouts at customers looking at the menu on the patio. The children are deeply disturbed by such behavior.

24/04/2026: A place with chic decor. Very pleasant for dinner! Delicious food. (Noise level acceptable EXCEPT when you have to endure a crying young child...).

19/04/2026: Nice ambiance and good service. Menu choice was good but food was disappointing. Starters were good but main courses were far from perfect. Fish and chips were awful - the fish was burnt and overcooked. The chips weren’t crispy or tasty. Were they reheated? Pasta bolognaise was ok but would have been much better served with tagliatelle or spaghetti rather than the shell pasta. Pity because it’s a nice place.

04/04/2026: The staff were very welcoming, the mussels were delicious, and the pan-seared tuna and foie gras suggestion was a wonderful discovery. We highly recommend this restaurant 👍

05/03/2026: A very good experience! The food was excellent and the service perfect. The owner even offered us a small liqueur at the end of the meal, a very nice touch. We will gladly return!

06/12/2025: We went in the summer, on our way home from the Alps by motorbike... The place isn't luxurious, but the setting is unique. Absolute tranquility. Very clean and comfortable shared bathrooms. Our room had a bathtub and sink. Many thanks to Teo for his hospitality. We arrived in our rain gear completely soaked, and he let us undress in the lounge, where it was nice and warm from the fireplace. You can also read Nacho de Rivas's review. 13/04/2026: One of the worst service experiences ever. We were severely discriminated against because my 8-year-old son was ordering a pizza since he didn't like the menu. The other four of us were ordering when the person kicked us out because my son couldn't eat his pizza there. I don't recommend it.

07/10/2025: We came here by chance on Sunday. We were looking for a restaurant in Salbris. What a joy to walk through the door. We were afraid we'd stumble upon a cliché of the competitor with the big horns. Not so! The fire in the middle of the room brings a warm, welcoming atmosphere to our grandparents' home. Cooking right before our eyes over a wood fire is a real plus. The quality of the products is indisputable, whether it's the traditional andouillettes, Troyes sausages, traditional sausages, or braised ham. A real treat. The sweet touch of the meal is not the least. The coulant, ile flottante, and baba, not to mention the exquisitely flavored traditional ice creams, will leave you speechless. The welcome is very pleasant. The managers are very friendly and don't hesitate to chat 😉. You've found new loyal customers when we return to Salbris. See you soon
