23/08/2026: INCREDIBLE! The ribeye steak and andouillette sausage were simply delicious, and the desserts were too! The service was perfect! The owners are a couple from Marseille who have a real knack for hospitality and good food. Take the time to chat with them, and you'll understand why it's so good. Highly recommended, thank you!

08/09/2026: Frankly disappointed. No salt or pepper on the table. The waiter wasn't pleasant. We asked him to bring us more aperitifs because we arrived late, he said yes but never brought them. At the end, we just asked for a small digestif as a gesture of goodwill, but he refused, especially since we were at the cinema. We didn't receive the five euro discount per person. Frankly dishonest, never again.

08/09/2026: My wife and I came for dinner this evening and ordered two of the "Coup de Cœur" menus. I especially wanted to highlight Yoan's professionalism. His attitude, the way he welcomed us, and his attentiveness to our table throughout the meal truly made all the difference. It's quite rare and worth mentioning: thanks to him, we genuinely felt like we were being served in a real restaurant, with attentive, professional, and personal service. In a chain like Hippopotamus, where you might sometimes expect a more standardized service, having someone so dedicated completely transforms the experience. Thank you to Yoan for his professionalism and positive attitude. It's definitely the kind of service that makes you want to come back.

25/05/2026: The hotel was very clean, with two spacious and well-equipped rooms, each with a large terrace. The breakfast buffet was extraordinary, featuring delicious fresh, local products. A special mention goes to Charlène, who presented the buffet to us, explaining all the items and serving with cheerfulness. The bedding was comfortable, and the location was very close to the city center, yet very quiet. We would gladly return.

24/05/2026: A full breakfast, perfect service from Charlène and the chef Gwen, who were very welcoming and smiling – nothing to complain about. I highly recommend it. The room had a magnificent view of the Bay of Ajaccio.

15/09/2026: Had the Black Angus Chateaubriand. Amazing. Best piece of meat I have eaten for a very long time, cooked and carved perfectly. The truffle and Parmesan fries were great, and the mashed potato is incredible. Excellent service from the staff, attentive but not invasive. Lovely room, too. Definitely recommend if you like your beef.

10/09/2026: The restaurant is outdated and in need of renovation. The quality of the food is very poor. We were served a nearly cold hamburger. When we mentioned this, they reheated it, and as a result, the originally rare beef patty was overcooked. We were assured that it was normal for the hamburger to be cold because of the sauce (?). The staff is friendly and helpful, but overall, this is a restaurant to avoid. Even though it's near the Kennedy Hotel, which is otherwise quite good, it's better to drive there to eat.

04/09/2026: We stopped at La Boucherie restaurant by chance during a motorway trip. There was a very unpleasant sewer smell right outside the entrance – "it happens." The welcome and service were adequate, however, the price-to-quality ratio was excessive. The fries were very greasy and dry. The fry basket was in a deplorable state and must have been in use for years. There were very few staff members considering the size of the restaurant, and the cleanliness left much to be desired. We will never return.

09/09/2026: Thank you, always excellent. I'm a regular on the under €10 menu because the value is unbeatable! Today I went a little overboard: The steak tartare was served quickly, beautifully presented, and most importantly, delicious! Absolutely fantastic, well done!

07/09/2026: A very mixed experience. The service was extremely slow: customers who arrived ten minutes after us were served much earlier. To justify the delay, our original server blamed it on the Sunday rush, claiming that for once he hadn't missed a single table—except we didn't see or hear him for 30 minutes. The Coke arrived directly in the glass, without the bottle being presented, flat, and with melted ice. Half of our order was missing, and we had to ask for what was left, including fries that were served half-cold. Fortunately, one of the waitresses professionally rectified the situation and apologized. The food itself is still of good quality, with the sausage being particularly well-cooked compared to other restaurants in the same chain.

27/08/2026: I normally don't like to leave negative reviews, however this can be an exception with the food we were served. I ordered the Tuna which had obviously been seared on each side but was served unpleasantly cold. The pepper sauce for the steak was also cold and the steak was very tough. The Bacon cheeseburger also had no bacon which was disappointing. Overall staff were good and friendly despite a language barrier, but the food can be one to forget unfortunately.

21/08/2026: They used to have amazing burgers. Tonight I bought a Torero and a Stromboli, and they were just so-so. The Torero had no flavor other than the pickle's vinegar. The bun was completely soggy. Everything was dripping. The steak wasn't cooked, not rare, it was raw. The fries were undercooked. Everything was really bland. A tiny little container of coleslaw that served absolutely no purpose, unlike before when the coleslaw was a proper container, not a toy; they might as well have left it out altogether. In short, I'm really disappointed, especially compared to before. This is the second time I've been.
