20/08/2026: A wonderful discovery on our way to the Black Forest! We stopped at the Auberge du Waldmeister for lunch and had a lovely time. The Norwegian salad was generously filled with bacon and delicious. But the real highlight was the homemade chocolate mousse… absolutely excellent! A truly authentic mousse that reminded me of the one my Belgian grandmother used to make. Needless to say, the Weck didn't last long! A great place to stop again if we're ever in the area. 🤗🍫

15/08/2026: Not pleasant at all. The meal was very mediocre. I don't recommend the kidneys, and the gratin was worthy of a low-end restaurant. They even had the nerve to talk down to my wife when she asked if they had milk other than semi-skimmed for her coffee, since she can't digest it. I recommend the small restaurant on the main street, Restaurant de la Bruche, instead. Very nice and friendly.

30/07/2026: Excellent place, varied and delicious pastries, a very warm welcome, and great takeaway options for lunch. Special mention for the strawberry or raspberry tarts, the galette des rois (king cake), and the doughnuts!

21/08/2026: I'm counting calories, and an app found this restaurant after scanning my order. These avocado sushi were within my very low daily limit. The fish was good and fresh without any diet taste. The service is quick in this simple setting.

09/08/2026: I ordered sushi at this place for the first time. Nothing exceptional, like many sushi places in Strasbourg. The rice was decent and the fish was fresh, but unfortunately, it had been rather poorly deboned, so you have to be careful. I can't say it was bad overall, but I found some fairly large bones twice, which was really unpleasant.

The restaurant is located on a lovely, quiet pedestrian square, surrounded by typical Alsatian houses. A very pleasant setting and welcoming staff. I had the Alsatian burger: very good, hearty, and generously topped, cooked to perfection. The fries were truly excellent. One small drawback: the Munster cheese was a little too subtle for my taste. The homemade tiramisu was very generous and truly tasted like a good tiramisu. Lots of mascarpone, perhaps a little too much compared to the amount of sponge cake, but very good nonetheless. The espresso was perfect to finish. €32.70 for everything, with generous portions and good quality: very good value for money. A good place that I recommend.

03/09/2026: A customer for 2-3 years, I've had very average meals today at La Cerise restaurant in Schiltigheim. Bruno, the owner, is withdrawn and completely at the mercy of his partner Rama. He doesn't react to anything... He's absent. Rama is in charge. So much so that when we disagree, she violently overturns the table, and the owner of La Cerise isn't shocked at all! On the contrary, he supports her!!! It makes you wonder... Really!!! Anger, hatred, jealousy, what drives Rama? There's definitely a serious personality problem! Or something else, who knows... Anyway, goodbye, yours truly!

29/05/2026: We ordered a kebab and a yufka with white sauce, but there wasn't any. Plus, the kebab was way too spicy. The same thing happened with the fries; we asked for mayonnaise and ketchup, and there were barely two drops of either. One thing's for sure: we won't be back.

26/05/2026: I stayed here twice because I liked it so much. This place is a little old and run down, but it has a lot of charm. I just felt good there and had both times a room with view to the church. They are also very dog friendly!

06/04/2026: I don't comment very often during my trips (I think this is actually the first time). However, I think the owners and Staff from Hotel-Restaurant La Bonne Franquette absolutely deserved it. I spent my 2026 Easter Weekend there. My room was clean and the bed very comfy, the food at the restaurant was excellent. But most importantly, the Staff was simply incredible. I hope that my trips will bring me back to the Alsace, if this happen, I will book there again on a heartbeat.

22/05/2026: I love this charming, old-fashioned café/tea room. I come almost every week. Florence and Thierry are very friendly. The homemade pastries and ice cream are always excellent. A sure bet in Niederbronn.
