01/11/2024: I am disappointed with this bar apart from the fact that we waited 15 minutes for our order to be taken and that we waited 10 minutes to receive it (a diabolo and a beer) one of the waitresses spilled the lemonade on the jacket from my girlfriend and didn't even apologize.

At the table: cutlery and glasses not very clean.
Aperitif: no problem
Arrival of ordered dishes:
- flam ok
- 2 roestis in Munster: only 1 given since at 7:45 p.m. no more Munster. For now, order another flam.
All these dishes not bad but nothing more.
Addition: a first ticket of €88.10 which we pay but after checking it is not our table. For this reason, a new addition of €89.20 which is indeed ours. €1.10 difference to our disadvantage. Given the incidents during the meal we thought he was going to give it to us as a gift but no, we had to sort it out otherwise it was out of his pocket (his own words)
We came in 2022 and made this restaurant our canteen and we will not return there again.
03/12/2024: In general it is passable, d'Udo between 4 and 3 stars. The waiter was very unfriendly and dry and the food was a little weak, especially the onion soup. The place is good, the bathrooms a little disappointing

08/12/2024: We called to get takeaway pizzas and on the phone we were told that the smoked salmon on the “Salmone” pizza had been replaced with fresh salmon, we accepted. When paying, we were told that the pizza costs €18 instead of €13 (not specified on the phone but this is acceptable for the change in salmon). Arriving home, I discovered that the rest of the pizza (arugula and mozzarella) had also been modified with pan-fried vegetables. So I find myself with a pizza that is completely different from the basic one I wanted even though I had just been informed of the change in the salmon. Not to my taste and €5 more expensive.

The staff is pleasant and the setting quite friendly. The restaurant has parking.
The menu is quite small but offers interesting dishes.
The meals are good but unfortunately are not quite representative of the price paid.
The daily specials remain interesting.

12/08/2024: I booked at Mekane for my mother's birthday to mark the occasion and it was a success!
The food was very good, the service very pleasant and the exchanges with the owner of the place were fluid.
I have already participated as a guest in several events at Mekane and each time the results were great. The room is very beautiful and is sufficient in itself for decoration. We were provided with some decoration material, the owner and his family are very helpful and kind!

Hotel Le Bouclier d'Or Restaurant

02/06/2024: I just wrapped up a two-night stay at this hotel on my way back to Paris from Germany, which was, overall, perfectly pleasant and adequate.
The room (a suite) was spacious and comfortable, and the location couldn’t be better. And, for the most part, the service was good—but there were a few gaps that caused the place to fall short of four-star quality. For example, I was traveling with some large luggage, and at both check-in and check-out the staff only very begrudgingly helped with transporting it. (Mind you, there are no elevators, so this involved climbing flights of stairs.) At any other hotel of this caliber I’ve been greeted with a smile and immediately asked if I needed help with bags.
Second, I returned late both nights and found the night managers on duty quite unhelpful. Basic questions couldn’t be answered, falsely told umbrellas were not available, and they both were watching loud television on their personal devices when I got back to the property a bit after midnight. Again, more befitting of a 2-star motel than a 4-star property.
One person I must commend, however, is the bartender who was on duty the two evenings I was at the hotel. He was personable, helpful, and convivial… and remembered my name and preferences right away. All others should follow his example.

11/08/2024: Restaurant familial avec madame en cuisine et monsieur au service. Accueil convivial. Spécialités cordons bleus. Le traditionnel, des classiques (au munster par exemple), mais aussi une déclinaison de saisons très originales, entre autres dans un jeu autour des panures.
Nous étions 3 avec du coup 3 cordons bleus différents. C'était très bon et on s'est régalé. Maîtrise de la cuisson, des goûts présents. La carte des vins est réduite, mais est une très bonne sélection.
