02/09/2024: 2 weeks in July / August 2024 + +: Wonderful stay. Very professional, friendly welcome, and surprise a €100 gift card to spend on activities from the tourist office! Apartment on the 1st floor of the Caribou building (the one below the main Thabor). Very beautiful view of the mountain, ideally located and relatively quiet. One floor down to arrive at the top of the covered stairs which go down to the "snow front" and the small center with shops and restaurants. And a covered escalator to go back up! Very quiet apartment (a technical reserve on the left, an unoccupied apartment on the right). Very good size for 2 (bedroom and separate toilet), large balcony very well exposed, very bright, all day long, redone decor, sober, bright and "cocooning". Pretty friendly resort, on a human scale. A multitude of hikes and very beautiful views that are already very accessible. - -: small downside for the parking, minute drop-off authorized in front of the entrance (to clear the car), and very quickly chased away with leaflets threatening to be impounded. And authorized parking solutions are quite far away. The dryer is out of service (but that can be fixed). Indeed, the sound insulation between the floors is perhaps quite average, we benefit from some noise (from the toilet for example...), even if for us the tenants were relatively discreet. And finally a view to the side, through the bedroom (therefore not main) slightly marred by a burned down residence building (in January). But this is not P&V's responsibility, and let's hope it is rebuilt quickly.

05/09/2024: Wow! Allereerst een zeer warm ontvangst door de eigenaresse/chefin in haar huiskamer restaurant. Frederique heeft een fantastisch menu gemaakt en helpt ons bij het maken van de keuzes inclusief zeer goede suggestie voor de wijn. De gerechten zijn creatief & eigentijds. Dit mag je niet missen! Verder hebben de dames ons voldoende aanbevelingen gegeven voor ons verblijf. Kortom een restaurant om van te dromen ♥️♥️♥️

04/09/2024: Nous étions à la recherche d'un restaurant pour fêter notre anniversaire de mariage et nous sommes allés à la trencadis. Depuis plus de 20 ans, nous venons a Argeles pour nos vacances et nous etions resté sur les restaurants du bord de mer. Quelle erreur! A moins de 3 km, il y avait caché dans le village cet excellent restaurant. Dans une rue sympathique,nous attendait un endroit au calme et au frais, avec une terrasse splendide. Nos hôtesses nous accueillaient avec un sourire et une bonne humeur engageantes. Nous avons discuté comme si nous étions en famille. Puis les choses sérieuses ont commencé. Le menu avec 1 entrée (ou 2 pour le gourmand que je suis), le plat et le dessert était plus qu alléchant. La raviole de homard, le poulpe, ou le thon snacké etaient au rendez-vous de nos attentes. Le vin blanc judicieusement conseillé accompagnait merveilleusement bien cette entrée en matière. En plat principal, je me laissais tenter par la souris d'agneau et son smoothie de carotte, et ma femme par le bar et ses linguine. Justesses dans les gouts, accompagnements agréables, et (toujours pour les gourmands) une quantité généreuse. Pour terminer en beauté, la tarte au citron revisitée clôturait ce repas parfait. Nous reviendrons dés l'année prochaine, pour discuter avec la chef, avec notres serveuse, pour profiter d'un moment a part qui nous a enchanté.

12/09/2024: A wonderful experience. We arrived late for lunch and they treated us with great kindness. We had some communication problems and they were willing to write the menu for us in a translator. The food was delicious and the menu was more than reasonably priced. They were charming and we were very grateful for the good treatment we received.

14/12/2024: Great freshness for everything fish and seafood, quality dishes. Excellent service. A restaurant not to be forgotten. We will return.

09/01/2025: One of the worst experiences I ever had, surely the worst of this year! Not worth the money we payed for the the S.Sylvester dinner (200€ per person): each dish not well thought and roughly cooked, the “parfait” egg was raw and also found eggshell pieces within the plate (see pictures). The day after I felt sick, I should ask for a refound (I was forced to pay in advance to seal the bookings), it is a shame! Hope to hear from the manager soon
