19/12/2025: The service, the food, the atmosphere—it was perfect. They are very welcoming and very pleasant.

07/12/2025: To start with the positives, the atmosphere was fantastic and the decor immersive. The welcome was very warm. The dishes offered seemed overpriced for what we were served. While they were beautifully presented and tasty, they didn't justify the price. We expected something else. The service was a bit slow. In conclusion, we had a good time but were left slightly disappointed by the overall cost.

A huge thank you to our server for his professionalism, kindness, and wonderful smile. He took the time to advise us, answer all our questions, and ensure that everything was perfect throughout the meal. Thank you again for this lovely experience. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant!

16/05/2026: We had a super delicious meal. We were welcomed incredibly warmly. You can feel the passion of the chef, who greets the guests himself and presents his menu. A special plate was also prepared for our daughter. Highly recommended.

05/04/2026: A few improvements to make: - Avoid pouring the last of the champagne from a bottle and then topping it up with a fresh glass; - Avoid serving the beginning of the foie gras terrine; serve a slice instead; - Incredibly long wait times (we arrived at the restaurant at noon and left at 4 p.m.); - Understaffed: for 16 occupied tables, there were only 4 people, including the chef; - Tables are a bit cramped. - The food is generally simple, and the Easter dessert (praline nest) was tasteless. Overall rating: 3

01/07/2026: This was a great find for us, as we no longer go downtown due to parking difficulties. The setting is fantastic. The tables are spaced far apart, allowing for conversation without feeling crowded at the next table. 😉 The service is impeccable. The food is high-quality, delicious, and beautifully presented. Everything was delicious, from the appetizer to the dessert. The setting is pleasant and the staff is incredibly attentive. A real gem in Moulin-Mage!

24/06/2026: A warm welcome. A varied menu. Delicious crêpes with daily specials. Beautifully presented dishes. The restaurant is laid out with different areas: a terrace; the main dining room; a back room with air conditioning; and a private space suitable for groups. It's also very convenient to be able to buy individual plain crêpes to go. The ciders and perries on offer are excellent and artisanally produced. It's also worth noting that the restaurant sells and uses seafood from the Belle-Iloise cannery in Quiberon in its crêpes: a benchmark for quality!

23/06/2026: I've been coming to Maximilien regularly for a little over a year now, and for me, it's one of the only restaurants in the area where the value for money is truly excellent. The portions are generous without being heavy, and the flavor is always spot-on. As for the main courses, I always go for their sautéed vegetables with garlic, which have that authentic taste you don't find everywhere. The ribeye steak is beautifully cooked, but my favorite is the lamb shank, served with couscous (your choice of sides), a welcome change from the usual fries. The staff is friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Personally, I've never had a single complaint in over a year.

31/03/2026: This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. I reached out to Muriel earlier in the year looking for a place to have a big meal for 16 people for my 40th birthday. Muriel was incredible from the start and so helpful, sending options and updated menus. We had a couple of people with additional dietary requirements which Muriel catered to perfectly. The location is right in the center of the town so really easy to get to. Inside is lovely, very nicely decorated and very atmospheric. We had drinks on arrival and all 16 of us had truly expectational food which came out quickly and at the same time. Honestly I cannot recommend this place more. All the staff were so happy and friendly and made us feel so welcome. We are all still talking about it and how delicious the food was and how nice everyone was. It was the perfect end to a great holiday. Thank you Muriel and team, we hope to see you again :-)
