24/03/2026: A wonderful discovery not far from the Port of La Rochelle. The overall atmosphere is warm and inviting, a large, well-decorated room with a great playlist playing in the background. The staff gave us a very warm welcome; they were friendly and helpful. As for the meal, the prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the ingredients and the dishes offered. The plates are beautifully presented and colorful. It's refreshing to see a menu that's a departure from the usual "classic" restaurants. And above all, it's delicious! The dishes are well-prepared (including the vegetarian option) and the flavors are fantastic. I highly recommend this place and I won't hesitate to go back!

25/01/2026: A great find! The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. And the servers are pleasant. Highlights: Special mention for the perfectly cooked egg and the orzo cooked like a mushroom risotto! Lowlights: The braised root vegetables were unfortunately bland. And the chocolate sauce on the profiterole was much too sweet for our taste.

From our very first conversation, their enthusiasm and kindness immediately won us over. Throughout the preparations, they demonstrated endless patience, great availability, and rare flexibility—especially in transforming our dinner into a buffet. On the big day, we trusted them completely… and we were right to do so! Thanks to them, there was no stress, the service was smooth and friendly, and above all, the cocktail hour and dinner were absolutely delicious. We received countless compliments from our guests. Special mention for the Paris-Brest: pure bliss, exceeding all our expectations. We're still drooling over it and haven't found anything quite as good since! 28/03/2026: Excellent restaurant in Saint-Georges-de-Didonne! Spagho da Alessandro is an Italian restaurant run by a true Italian, and it shows in every bite. The dishes are generous, flavorful, and expertly prepared, with a varied menu that makes you want to try everything. Pizzas, pastas, risottos… everything is top-notch. The welcome is warm and the service pleasant, with genuine attention paid to the customers, in a friendly atmosphere where you feel right at home. Be sure to make a reservation: even out of season, the restaurant is often full, which speaks volumes about its popularity. A sure bet that you'll gladly return to!

05/01/2026: Coming from the Vendée region and heading down to Spain, we stopped there for lunch. We had been looking for a place to eat for quite some time. However, when we arrived at 2:07 pm, the person, rather rudely, turned us away, telling us they would be closing at 3 pm. What a shame.

25/03/2026: We were just passing through the island and stopped by to order pizzas for dinner. The new owners (since July 2025) offer pizzas made with professional flours, hand-kneaded dough, homemade sauces, and even Thai dishes on weekends. This is a place not to be missed; the pizzas are generous, and the owner is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it. If we're ever back, we'll definitely try the Thai dishes on a weekend!
