22/08/2026: A very pleasant place for an overnight stay. We had the ground floor room because it was more practical for our small dog, and we really appreciated it. It's spacious, ideal for people with reduced mobility or a couple with one child. A very good self-service breakfast is available. There's a lovely shaded terrace for meals. I recommend it; we'll keep the address for our trips to Bordeaux.

19/08/2026: Arrive at 7 pm and you'll have a chance to get the main course, but there's no one to order desserts. Customers are left to fend for themselves, and the staff are completely unfazed, overwhelmed by barely half the shift.

06/06/2026: The place itself is nice. The table service was very disappointing because you have to finish eating before you've even started 😤😠😡. It was really annoying, I'm not sure I'll go back.

19/04/2026: We visited a real French cabaret and were very satisfied. In order: an old manor (probably a former winery), with a large hall. Parking on site. Clean and tidy. Interesting and tasty cuisine, great service, everything is fast, the service is excellent. The show itself is something incredible! I didn't even think that 4 hours would fly by in one breath! Everything is thought out and well organized, the show itself is interesting and diverse. The pearl, in my opinion, is the can-can - real, complete, with all the details. Interesting circus acts, beautiful chansonniers, wonderful girls in dances. Everything is real, without pathos. We recommend!

20/08/2026: A great find. A little set back from the port of La Rochelle, with a peaceful terrace. Superb and very efficient service. The dishes are homemade and the mussels marinière are excellent. Tip: try the Joels as a starter (similar to fried smelts).

19/08/2026: Excellent restaurant! The food is superb, the service very good, and the atmosphere friendly. The dishes are generous, homemade, and high quality. The terrace is pleasant because the street is pedestrianized and away from the main thoroughfare!

09/09/2026: Visited a few times during our week, staying nearby. Great for coffee and croissants in the morning as an accompaniment to watching the world come and go. Gets busy at times, most times (which tells you something) especially lunchtime. The sandwiches / pizza-style are very good and you'll find yourself compelled to try a few of the pastries (even if to take away).

30/08/2026: A very good bakery located on the small village square, with a lovely shaded terrace perfect for enjoying a meal or a coffee. We sampled the pastries, viennoiseries, and sandwiches, and everything was truly delicious. The sandwiches are made to order, which is a real plus and gives a sense of freshness. The products are high quality, and the portions are just right. A simple, pleasant, and unpretentious place where you can eat well. We really enjoyed it and will gladly return if we're ever in the area again.

23/08/2026: Good restaurant, friendly atmosphere and very kind servers. Be aware of the wait when ordering wine so it doesn't arrive too late (I had almost finished my meal).

18/08/2026: Reservation for eight people: friendly welcome. First problem: the fryer broke down (which can happen). We learned halfway through our order that there were only six portions of potatoes left (meaning only green beans would be available as a side dish). These six remaining portions quickly dwindled to four. We left without eating. Their stock management and alternative solutions clearly leave much to be desired.

03/09/2026: A great time up there! A good option for eating on-site before visiting the La Rochelle Aquarium!

14/07/2026: On July 13th, my husband and I ate there for the first seating. It was certainly busy, and we don't question the servers' work—we commend them—but there simply weren't enough of them. We had to wait, and my husband only received his glass of wine at the end of the meal because he asked for it. We should have eaten quickly because there was a second seating, but for two courses (one main and one dessert), we were there for an hour and a half. It's a shame; they should have had two more servers that day to avoid any oversights.

21/06/2026: This was our second stay with our little dog. We stayed on the ground floor, in a large parking area opposite the beach, and had immediate access to the beach right across the street. The rooms were obviously very comfortable, and there was a swimming pool. The owner is discreet but attentive and available, and his wife has a passion for cooking that will delight you at mealtimes. A very pleasant establishment for a discreet and relaxing stay. Thank you.
