25/09/2026: Tout simplement LA meilleure adresse que je connaisse à Pau. Les prix sont absolument raisonnables aux vues de la qualité proposée. La carte change régulièrement pour s'adapter aux produits de saison et le choix de tapas est une tuerie ! Des équipes en cuisine et au service ultra compétents, vous êtes certains de passer un bon repas au Vintage Café.

21/09/2026: We just ate at this small restaurant, which was equally refined and enjoyable. The staff wasn't at full strength this evening, yet the waitress served us with a smile and enthusiasm despite the truly unpleasant complaints from other customers. We had a wonderful time and will gladly return.

15/06/2026: A very pleasant stay. The staff were extremely attentive. The establishment was very clean. If I had to mention one small drawback, it would be the breakfast. It was a shame we had to make the pancakes and/or eggs ourselves. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

13/08/2026: What a delightful time we had at this restaurant! Everything was perfectly executed, from the welcome to the last bite. The quality of the ingredients was impeccable, and the presentation was truly exquisite. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail on the plate, especially the pomegranate seeds, which added a touch of freshness and a beautiful splash of color to the dessert. We loved the ambiance and the refined flavors. It's an excellent place to treat yourself. We will definitely be back.

He also spoke impeccable English—a massive relief for our dining experience, if a slight setback for my ambitious plans to practice my French. It’s a relatively small restaurant with few tables that filled quickly, we had made reservations.

25/09/2026: I recommend booking in advance; it's more comfortable, especially outside when the sun is shining and the weather is nice. The welcome is warm and friendly; this restaurant is a real gem. Every single dish was delicious, without exception, with attention to detail. The fish and meat were cooked to perfection, and the kitchen staff deserves praise for their work.

21/09/2026: We had a wonderful meal. The tuna and smoked trout were delicious. The tapas were excellent. The hake was very good, and the squid in ink was a real treat... The gourmet coffee and Basque cake were the perfect ending to this delightful meal... The owner is fantastic, and the servers are pleasant and efficient. A big thank you, we'll be back. I highly recommend it.

13/08/2026: Excellent value for money. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is great. I enjoyed the baby squid risotto with a chorizo ​​cream sauce. Delicious! If you're ever in Bayonne, this brasserie is well worth a visit.

28/09/2026: This is a place to go out of your way for lunch. Absolutely fantastic. Good friendly service. Very authentic garbure (a ham hock, cabbage , potato and bean stew) - believe they’ve won awards for it. Huge, very reasonably priced menu of the day. But - book to get a seat outside under the arches (seemed to be quite a few seats inside) as it seems a very popular place.

26/09/2026: Lunch today: garbure was a delight, confit gizzard salad perfect and generous, sirloin steak with fries too much gristle, a shame, but tasty meat, tiramisu dessert not great, all this for €26, very pretty place with all its arcades, pleasant little village.

25/09/2026: Another fantastic time spent as a couple! The food was simply extraordinary. Our Spanish waitress was truly wonderful and found us a table despite the complications she was facing. Our usual wine, which was no longer on the menu, was still served! Please bring it back, because the wine selection is excellent! We are truly never disappointed by this restaurant; keep up the good work!
