22/06/2026: I was very pleased with my visit to La Cafet' Chez Marcel in Bordeaux; the cleanliness and welcome were impeccable. The staff were warm and friendly, the atmosphere welcoming, the service quick, and the value for money excellent.

14/09/2026: We were refused entry with our guide dog, even though it's mandatory! We left, but we will file a complaint.

10/09/2026: I don't usually leave reviews, whether it's good or bad, but I've never eaten in a Japanese or Chinese restaurant as bad as this one. The wonton soup was vomit-inducing. Everything I ordered was terrible. The only good thing on the table was the drink—a Coke—and then you pay almost the same price as in real Japanese restaurants in Paris. I ate very poorly and left hungry. I strongly advise against going to this place.

12/09/2026: The waitresses were great, very welcoming, but the bartender couldn't do a Sex on the Beach routine, so he's best avoided. And the meal wasn't anything special. A shame.

15/07/2026: The place is still pleasant. The downside is the price and the portion size. We ordered scoops that were more like half-scoops than proper scoops of ice cream. I think that for the price charged, it might be better to properly train your staff to better serve your passing customers. We also wanted to order Italian ice cream, which wasn't available on July 15th. I find this disappointing, especially during the peak summer season. Don't boast about the quality of your products, as we've tried other products nearby that were of better quality and much more reasonably priced.

19/06/2026: Excellent food, superb service, and very friendly staff. What more can I say? Thank you for the wonderful lunch at your establishment, which I stumbled upon while out for a bike ride. As a side note, since I'd forgotten my bike lock, the owner kindly allowed me to park it on the inner terrace. I felt very welcome before enjoying a delicious meal!

24/09/2026: A terrible experience with my girlfriend. We were given a real lecture for a table that was moved by… 1 cm. Yes, you read that right: 1 cm. Apparently, this centimeter posed a major threat to traffic flow in the neighboring building. Yet, unless the people involved were several meters wide, there was plenty of room to pass. The funniest part was the tone used to make this remark: arrogant, curt, and frankly disrespectful. Because apparently, moving a table a few millimeters deserves a reprimand rather than a simple polite comment. But since we were clearly in an establishment where precise measurements are a top priority, let's take this opportunity to talk about the contents of the drinks. There, curiously, precision seemed to be much less important. The glass served was far less than the expected amount, especially considering the price. Perhaps a little refresher course in math, measurement, geometry, and, why not, politeness, would be in order. This would allow them to accurately measure a distance of 1 cm, properly fill a glass, and, above all, address customers with a modicum of respect. Ultimately, the problem wasn't really the centimeter of the table. The real issue was the sheer arrogance in the way they spoke to us. An experience that could have been pleasant, but which mostly just made us want to measure, very precisely… the distance between us and this establishment in the future.

21/09/2026: A terrible experience! First, we asked to be seated outside because of the stifling heat inside. It was about 30°C outside, while inside, the temperature seemed to be well over 35°C, even approaching 36°C. Outside, the tables were extremely close together, to the point of clearly lacking privacy. So, we simply took the initiative to move our table a few centimeters (1 cm max) to have a little more space. This earned us a passive-aggressive response, accompanied by a particularly condescending tone from the manager. I think there's a certain way to address people who come to eat or drink in an establishment. In this case, the tone used was completely disproportionate to what we had done. We decided to stay nonetheless, because we didn't want to be confrontational and simply wanted to cool off. So we ordered two glasses of homemade lemonade. And then, another surprise: €5 per glass, served in a simple glass that looked more like a cafeteria glass, with less than 25 cl of drink. In the end, the two glasses together didn't even contain the amount of a single can of store-bought lemonade. Paying €10 for such a small amount, especially under these conditions, is, in my opinion, completely unjustifiable. Beyond the price, it was primarily the attitude and the way we were received that deeply disappointed me. When you go to an establishment to have a drink and a good time, you expect, at the very least, to be welcomed properly and with respect. For me, this experience was more than enough: I won't be back.

25/08/2026: The 15€ smash burger was disappointing; the fries were ok. The service was kind and efficient. The outside terrace is nice in summer.

03/08/2026: No greeting. I ordered a takeaway coffee. No response, not even to let me know my order was on its way. I waited four minutes at the till without any reaction, and finally left with a profound sense of disrespect. It felt like you were ashamed to order a simple coffee. The atmosphere was icy, like a prison, with staff who never spoke or smiled. This is a business; it should be professional. Inside, the juice fridge was filthy, bordering on disgusting. There was a broken light in the room, with insects flying right above the customers eating. The ice cubes for the juices were placed in the sink, completely unprotected: zero hygiene. This is the worst place I've ever had a coffee. I left even more annoyed than when I arrived. Before running a business, learn about HACCP standards and customer service.

29/07/2026: I've been to this wine bar many times and the welcome was always fantastic, the advice was great, everything was perfect. It's very rare that I leave bad reviews, but this time I had to. I went back on the evening of July 28th; I had a reservation on the rooftop. We were greeted by a very unpleasant waitress. We wanted a glass of Chilean wine, and she told us we had to order the whole bottle because she couldn't open several bottles at once. I can understand that, but we've done it several times and we've never received such a response. She then said, "I'll check what's open and get back to you." A while later, she returned with two glasses of wine and told us it was Spanish. A friend asked her if she knew the name of the bottle, and she replied that she didn't. So, to be in a wine bar and force us to order a wine we don't want isn't very good customer service. If she had told us she only had Spanish wine, we would have been happy. He reportedly said no, so I refused his glass of wine and ordered a spritz instead. My mother dealt with the same person when buying a bottle and received the same reception. It's a real shame for such a great wine bar…

28/08/2026: Five years later, I'm updating my review. Not only can you not pay by credit card, but you also can't buy just two or three chocolates individually. In short, you have to buy a large box, even if you plan to go for a walk afterward. Having such self-confidence and such contempt for your Parisian clientele is pathetic. I love your chocolates more than any others. But if you want to do B2B and stop bothering with retail sales, go for it :) Regular customer and huge fan of your chocolates. The saleswoman refused to sell to me because my order was under €20 and I only had my credit card. Honestly ridiculous. Especially during Covid. Please, let us eat your chocolates.

While they're mainly sold in Japan during Valentine's season, they're more affordable in France. ✨ Their signature product, the "Demi-Sphere (Half Dome)," features vibrant colors and an ultra-thin chocolate shell. Its jewel-like beauty is truly captivating. From their representative green "Amazon" and white "Sauvage" to their creative fillings using lime, yuzu, and other fruits, each piece offers a different flavor, which is another appealing aspect.

23/04/2026: One of my favorite restaurants in Bordeaux! 🥰 I recommend calling to reserve 24-48 hours in advance, as this place is very popular; the portions are hearty and generous, the dining room isn't very big, which creates a cozy atmosphere... For me, it's a great little Chinese restaurant in Bordeaux!
