21/09/2024: I haven't tasted the cuisine, so I will be careful not to give my opinion. For the rest, I am very pleasantly surprised. I tasted two good beers, one from the house, another craft... Both delicious. Pleasant service with a smile and no-nonsense conversation. A quiet place, chill and appropriate music. In short, a good time. Having come alone, I did not ask for access to the board games. However, there is a wide choice. I really appreciate it and recommend it. Big up to the brewer for the: last trip. Count a little less than ten euros per Distingués (yes I'm not a fan of calling it a pint😁) let's be serious (I'll stop, I promise) I recommend without any worries to beer lovers.

21/09/2024: Nice, friendly games bar. The selection of games on offer is not as big as at Lila and the Barber who sent us here because they had no space, but the barman was friendly and their recommendations were good. The best one was the chess set for three players which kept us there until after closing! The barman, to their credit, didn't try to throw us out before we finished the game. Very cool

05/09/2024: A restaurant that is just perfect, the service, the quality of the products, the decoration. We are immersed in Thailand as much by the flavors as the smells, I recommend 200%!! I come there regularly now!

04/08/2024: Lors de notre passage nous avons trouvé que le prix du menu était trop chère le Week end. Je veux bien payer un certains prix mais nous souhaitons avoir la même chose dans l'assiette ce qui est servi pas toujours à la hauteur et le choix du menu n'est pas en accord avec le prix. Nous venions avant dans ce restaurant jamais déçus maintenant je n'y reviendrais plus sachant que nous sommes pas loin c'est bien dommage et l'accueil n'est pas toujours au rendez vous.

16/04/2024: 'ous ne reviendrons plus dans ce restaurant ,en parlant avec d'autres clients déçus comme nous nous regrettons l'ancien propriétaire qui lui était un vrai cuisinier , honnête dans ses prix ,la qualité et le service Du début jusqu'à la fin déceptions totale d'ailleurs avec les anciens c'était pratiquement plein tout le temps pas comme chez le nouveau J'en parle autours de moi a chaque fois que j'ai l'occasion . nous étions 12 personnes et tous déçus

17/11/2024: We have been coming here on and off for about 14 years. They are only open at lunch time now. Came for several Sunday lunches this year. Be prepared to eat a lot. The menu is luxurious with several dishes centred around duck foie gras. All reared and made on site. Main courses are duck or beef (all reared and butchered on site). No vegetarian options. The quality of the food is excellent and service is charming and leisurely - this is France so allow at least 2 hours for lunch. For value for money go for the Menu Gauvry (€38.50) for which you get 4 courses, all generous portions, including up to two with generous amounts of foie gras and a main of duck breast or steak with chips (cooked in duck fat of course), shallots and salad. A chance to sample real French country cooking. Best to book for Sunday lunch as it's usually very busy. Highly recommended.

19/08/2024: Tutto semplicemente perfetto! Bel locale, bellissimi modi nel servizio e gran qualità del cibo! Oltretutto presentati in modo bellissimo!Assolutamente consigliato! Importante ed indispensabile prenotare, perché è un locale molto piccolo e chiude la cucina presto.

30/07/2024: As we had a booking we were pointed to a table immediately. For us the table was facing the wrong way, so we moved the chairs around. This didn't last long as we had to move to make way for a pram. Okay, all settled again. We had to ask for the menu after about 15 minutes, then we had to ask to place our order after 30 minutes. There was just one man waiting on the tables and a younger guy, who could have been his son, helping out, but as they got busier, he also started taking orders. They were very busy and people were being turned away. We ordered the menu of the day with us both having the pate as entree, the fish as the plat and then a pineapple desert. The food was excellent, well presented and tasty. The fish was served with mussels and a lemon cream sauce to die for! The food made up for the slack unfriendly service to begin with. Well worth the visit, but definitely worth making a booking to be sure of getting in.

01/10/2024: I always have the same pizza, the Milano, and usually everything is fine, everything is fresh (hence the three stars). But today when I opened the box I saw that the pizza was littered with dried tomatoes, more than usual. And when I tasted it, I realized that they must have emptied a jar that must have been open for too long because the tomatoes had gone bad. My stomach hurts because of the few tomatoes I ate 😭 My mother next door confirmed it just by the smell 😩

21/08/2024: I've been going there regularly for years. Pizzas filled, generous and made with love! Very professional, undeniable hygiene, an essential address in the town of Saint-Jean-d'Illac! You can go there with your eyes closed.

29/07/2024: Alors à fuir pour l'amabilité du patron ou du responsable, a part faire des remarques desobligenates devant les autres client, meme pas capables de s'occuper des clients qui attentent. Pour passer et repasser, meme pas un bonjour ou un je vous demande d'attendre, on vous regarde comme de la viande avariée Peut etre trop de client pour ce restaurateur, Conseil, plus loin il y a d'autres restaurant ou l'acceuil est chalereux Je parle meme pas de la nourriture, mais juste de l'acceuil

20/08/2024: Ce restaurant est exceptionnel car il conjugue cuisine de grande qualité avec des mets raffinés mais un prix contenu. De l entrée au dessert tout est délicat, service très aimable et parfait.

24/07/2024: Nous pensions avoir la même qualité d'accueil et de restauration que lors de nos précédentes visites. Si l'entrée et le dessert correspondaient à notre attente le plat de résistance, tournedos de poulet aux pommes de terre n'était pas cuit à cœur. Nous avons demandé de recuire la viande. Nos assiettes sont revenues avec un ajout excessif de sauce. Quelle déception ! Heureusement le cadre est toujours aussi agréable.

20/10/2024: Vi muitas avaliações ruins e fomos comemorar 10 anos de casados , apenas pelo lugar que vimos pela fotos ser muito lindo . Qual foi nossa surpresa que tudo foi nota 10 . Atendimento super eficiente e educado do nosso garçom Alexandre e também de toda equipe , desde a reserva por Wattsap , enviando até os cardápios . Comida maravilhosa . Eu comi o Confit de Canard et salade de lentilles vert, meu prato preferido e que sempre como em restaurantes franceses . Este foi o top . Minha esposa comeu Tagliatelle al Funghi e Tartufo Nero. Sobremesa um Crème Brulée dos deuses . Na entrada quando souberam do nosso aniversário de casamento nos ofereceram 2 taças de espumante e era tão bom que perguntamos a marca , era Cave Gaise brut . 18/09/2024: Très bonne adresse. Les produits essentiellement locaux sont frais et bien cuisinés par le chef. Les plats sont simples mais très bon. Restaurant ouvert le dimanche ce qui est devenu chose rare dans notre pays

15/08/2024: Although the setting is excellent and the decoration very pleasant, the orders were not respected: blue cooking in the extra place for a piece of beef, salad and vinaigrette on a dish requested without. The piece of beef was gelatinous. The cocktails are very good. Customers arriving without a reservation are sent away by reception in a less than cordial manner.

13/07/2024: Très joli cadre. Les mets sont très grande qualité préparés avec raffinement. Les ris de veau sont délicieux tout comme la suggestion du jour la lotte à l armoricaine ! Quant aux desserts succulents(ailettes aux fraises, fondant au chocolat baba au rhum..) Nous y retournerons certainement !
