02/07/2026: Ordered 3 pizzas. A major problem with the cooking. The pizza was burnt and the crust was undercooked. The quality was simply not there. Hopefully it was just a problem with the oven.

26/09/2026: The food was okay, except we just got a takeaway double fillet with fish, and the only thing that said "double" was the label on the fillet itself... it was just a single fillet... how can they put a single fillet on the double label without meaning to... I'm changing my review: two orders, two problems. The double fillet was assembled this time; there were indeed two fillets, but they were crooked... and I ordered a chicken nagi bao, they gave me beef, and it was the manager who took my order...

17/09/2026: Excellent restaurant! The dishes are made with fresh ingredients daily. A daily menu is available. The waitresses are very kind and welcoming, accommodating to those with dietary restrictions. The service is very fast.

09/12/2025: A very disappointing experience. We chose the main course and dessert option. After a very long wait, the dishes arrived with barely two potatoes and three bites. The desserts were okay. There was no milk or petit fours to accompany the coffee. We expressed our disappointment to the waitress, especially considering the price of the €22.90 set menu. Her indifference was on par with the rest of the service. We are regular restaurant-goers and have never left so hungry. What a rip-off!

02/10/2026: I often go to this restaurant and I'm never disappointed, whether it's the service, the ambiance, or the food. However, I'm very surprised by all these negative reviews. I'd love to know where all these people eat lunch and what they eat at home… In my profession (as a probate genealogist), I've encountered a huge number of negative reviews, and each time it came from people who should have looked at their own behavior first. Clearly, their motivation was simply to discredit me and fuel their jealousy. I never usually leave reviews for restaurants I go to, but this time it seemed necessary. A word to the wise…

23/09/2026: Stopping for lunch, the view is superb. It was pleasant on the terrace in September. The welcome was adequate, and the order was taken quickly. The main course arrived at a reasonable time. The fries cooled down too quickly in the wind, but they were good, slightly too salty for my taste. It's a shame the fish wasn't cooked through.

21/04/2026: First time here. It seems like everyone knows each other here... Well located in the heart of Le Barp, with parking opposite, near Saint-Jacques Church. Very friendly Portuguese owner. Café also offers horse racing betting. Good stop on the old National Route 10.

29/05/2026: Since COVID, this free, recurring experience, happening almost every Friday night, sometimes even Saturday, is noisy and goes on until unreasonable hours: 3 or 4 AM on bad days or nights. It's impossible to sleep with the window open during the cooler summer hours. It's undoubtedly a party spot for those who spend the night there and return to their peaceful beds in the early morning, far from the racket and unbearable bass. For me, a local resident, this place* makes me want to move and has led me to call the police numerous times for noise complaints. I'm also noting all the calls, as well as some of my neighbors, which will provide the basis for a detailed complaint. *The location is a large, uninsulated warehouse that acts like a giant amplifier. Unintentionally, I'm giving it one black star just to be able to publish this review.

28/08/2026: A truly unique experience! The owner refused to serve us the wine we ordered and told us to leave! As soon as our aperitifs were served, the hot starters arrived, even though we had asked to wait until we had finished our aperitifs. This didn't sit well with the manager, who then refused to bring us our ordered drinks and the rest of our meal, telling us he wouldn't serve us. Two other tables near us also had problems: one had their starters brought, and their aperitifs served afterward; the other waited 30 minutes for their main courses, and their drink order was never brought—the customer had to go and get it from the bar. It was impossible to get the manager to adjust the parasols properly; as they were positioned, they were useless in the intense midday heat. This establishment is absolutely to be avoided. The manager offered no apologies; they need to know when to stop.

11/09/2026: Ordered last night on Uber Eats, and frankly… what a joke. To start with, as usual: the sauces were missing. Honestly, you'd almost think it was an extra charge. If only it stopped there… The nuggets? Harder than a rock. I didn't know whether to eat them or use them to prop up a piece of furniture. Then, apparently, knowing the recipes isn't a priority anymore. I ordered a McChicken Gold, which is obviously more expensive, and I got a regular chicken. Fantastic. We pay extra for the surprise, I guess. But the best part was the cheddar fries: instead of the promised cheddar sauce, they literally put two slices of cheese in the fries. Two slices. Just like that. As if nobody would notice. With just over an hour until closing time, they really need to stop treating their customers like idiots. Between the oversights, the dried-out ingredients, the bad recipes, and the last-minute culinary improvisations, it really gives the impression that, over time, the desire to do things properly is steadily declining at this McDonald's. I can understand a mistake on an order. But when the entire order resembles a collection of "it'll do like that," it becomes problematic. In short, very disappointing. And given the price of a McDonald's order these days, the bare minimum would be to receive what you ordered, prepared correctly.

11/09/2026: I don't know what's going on right now (September 2026), but the drive-thru service is really unprofessional. The wait for order placement and service is extremely long.
