For example, Munster cheese flambéed with Gewürztraminer pomace brandy and roasted pigeon by Monsieur Kieffer. Here, guests can discover a cuisine that exquisitely and with great sensitivity combines flavors and regional, down-to-earth specialties with fine produce from faraway lands. Eric Orban, a former Michelin-starred chef, and his wife Clémence, as owners of this refuge, set the tone with charm and warm hospitality, placing the highest value on healthy and environmentally conscious nutrition. Wherever possible, ingredients are carefully selected from local producers and always sourced fresh daily. Unmistakable: The chemistry between Orban and his chef is harmonious and cultivated with style and passion in everything they do. The team focuses on regional products and plenty of vegetables, but also plays with Asian specialties. Duck liver is typical of the region and forms the centerpiece of my chosen starter. Seductively enhanced with a fruit chutney and a Muscat jelly, the main course of beef fillet combines regional flavors with those of distant lands. Succulent, aromatic, and buttery tender with a subtle hint of Asian spices. It's a perfect showcase of meat. Nothing detracts from its inherent flavor. Delicately colorful vegetables with robust herbal essences from Alsace set the tone. Finally, please, let's have the legendary Munster cheese, flambéed with Gewürztraminer pomace brandy. Unusual, but... for me... a perfect conclusion to a concert of flavors.

21/12/2025: The pizzas were good, but the service took forever. The welcome was cold; we wanted a table upstairs, but were told it was reserved, even though we had a reservation ourselves. We waited for over an hour and a half. In short, we were seated downstairs by the door. We got sick from the cold. I definitely don't recommend this restaurant. The organization and customer service need improvement.

18/02/2026: Frankly, calling this a kebab is a direct insult to the entire world of street food. Here, everything seems designed to test the limits of the human body and patience. The meat looks like it's survived several wars before landing in the bread—dry, bland, questionable, and above all, completely tasteless, as if it had been cooked in a rush, with absolutely no respect for food. The fries are a total disaster. Soggy, cold, greasy, sometimes still frozen inside, sometimes burnt on the outside. It's quite an achievement: to mess up fries this badly, you really have to try. They look like they've been reheated three times and then abandoned in a corner before being served. The bread is either soggy or as hard as a rock, and the sauce is applied haphazardly: either there isn't any, or you end up with a soup that soaks through the packaging and ruins your pants, your day, and your dignity. Everything is dripping, everything is poorly done, nothing is under control. The hygiene is seriously lacking. The place gives the impression that cleaning is a foreign concept. Sticky tables, questionable flooring, a persistent strange smell… You're torn between eating and calling the health department. The service is just like everything else: slow, disorganized, sometimes unpleasant, with the feeling that you're bothering them when you order. Waiting a long time for such a disastrous kebab is a real lesson in patience and regret. And the price? Far too expensive for what it is. You're clearly paying for the disappointment more than the quality. In short, it's the perfect place if you want to lose your appetite for several days, question your lifestyle choices, and understand why some people prefer to eat a triangular sandwich from a gas station. Absolutely avoid it, even when you're starving, even when everything is closed, even at 3 a.m.

08/03/2026: I visited Colmar, a two-star Michelin gastronomy restaurant, hoping to enjoy a special dinner. This time, I ordered the six-course dinner with wine pairings. Each dish was beautifully presented and the flavors were delicately balanced, making it a highly refined course, as you'd expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. The combinations and presentations of the ingredients were well thought out, and each dish was surprising, making the meal itself feel like an experience in itself. The wine pairings were carefully tailored to the dishes, further enhancing the appeal of each dish. The staff's explanations and service were attentive, allowing me to enjoy a leisurely meal in a calm atmosphere. While the prices are by no means cheap, I believe this restaurant offers a wonderful experience, including the food, wine, and service. I recommend this restaurant to anyone planning a special dinner in Colmar.
