05/10/2026: Was very excited to try this place as it had a lot of acclaim and hype. The service was brutally slow even by European standards with plates not cleared for long stretches between courses. Took a long time to get seated and place an order. The cauliflower soup was delicious. The onion tarte was ok. The pork knuckle was decent. The fish was below average. The desserts were also mediocre. Perhaps after spending a couple weeks in Italy and France our expectations of a Michelin Guide recommended restaurant were a bit too lofty. Also, this was the first and only place that explicitly asked us for a tip. Curious if they do that to all their patrons or just the ones from countries where it might be customary. There is probably better value to be found at other restaurants. Food was no better than schwendis down the street.

05/10/2026: We had a fantastic experience for our Saturday night dinner. My husband had the Choucroute and I had the Char. Starters were the Munster salad, and dessert was the Forêt Noir (with very boozy cherries!). Before the meal we were offered a small cup of cauliflower soup, which was absolutely delicious. The service was very attentive without being over-bearing. Everything about the experience was excellent.

19/10/2026: Ramen: Dry and not as pictured on the website. No sauce, watery noodles, and the salmon was too. Miso soup, not a single piece of tofu. Carrot salad, basic, for the price... I was expecting a little something extra from Asia. Very disappointed. 70 euros spent on 2 bland ramen, 1 carrot salad, miso soup, and 4 spring rolls (which were good).

07/10/2026: Not bad, but disappointed because nothing is homemade... it's all canned food 😟 and the Alsatian pasta (spaetzle) is very bland and white. A bit pricey for what you get 🫤

06/10/2026: The restaurant has a beautiful courtyard where you can sit comfortably, and it has a cozy atmosphere. The service is good and fast, and the staff is friendly. The menu consists mainly of flammenkuchen; however, I didn't find these particularly special. I have had better flammenkuchen before. They do have a wide selection of varieties, so that is nice.

27/09/2026: So I read the reviews and I think we must have gone to different restaurants. The old lady who greeted us was really unfriendly, and her daughter even less so. We waited almost half an hour before getting our order. The place itself is very beautiful, but the service needs improvement.

16/08/2026: A wonderful discovery! We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The daily menu was simply excellent, with flavorful and well-prepared dishes. The service was friendly and efficient, all in a pleasant atmosphere. We were delighted to discover this place and would gladly recommend it. We will definitely be back!

The portions were generous and high-quality, the welcome was warm—everything for a fantastic evening. We were so impressed that we booked a table to return the next day! We highly recommend this restaurant.

29/09/2026: A real disgrace for a restaurant that claims to serve French cuisine. We ordered two moules marinières: simply boiled mussels, without onion, herbs, or sauce… Nothing resembling actual moules marinières. As for the fries, they were simply awful. We pointed out the problem to the waitress, who informed the manager. His response was nothing short of astounding: “Yes, yes, I saw that there’s nothing there…” So the manager himself acknowledges that the dish is substandard and, despite this, offers absolutely no compensation. We paid the entire bill and left, feeling like we’d been treated like customers who can be served anything. The problem isn’t just the quality of the meal: it’s the blatant disregard shown for the customer’s complaint. A truly awful and disappointing experience. We will certainly never set foot in this establishment again.

06/09/2026: I've never had such a bad meal in a restaurant. I ordered stir-fried noodles, which smelled burnt because they must have stuck to the bottom of the pot, and the five-spice duck was incredibly dry, like shoe leather! When I mentioned my complaints, I received no apology whatsoever! On the contrary, I was told that duck meat cooked on the hot plate should be eaten dry! The culinary standards were appalling!

11/10/2026: We ate there on October 10th with four people. Three of us ordered the entrecôte. All three were tough, riddled with sinew, and almost impossible to chew. The quality of the meat was simply poor. Even the much-praised herb butter was bland. You could barely taste the herbs, and it was hardly seasoned. The fries, on the other hand, were excellent. This meal was very disappointing for us.

15/10/2026: This is the first time in their lives that my parents have had such a bad meal in a restaurant! They told me what happened to them on Monday, October 12th, at lunchtime: they were each served a few pieces of vegetables (very few) that were tough! And unfortunately, they couldn't even salvage the meat: my father supposedly had beef tenderloin... with white tendons in it (thick white strands...??) and it was badly cooked. For the first time in his life, my father, who isn't usually a picky eater, refused his dish; you couldn't even cut the meat! My mother had a monkfish roast: dry, badly cooked, and tasteless. It was served with very ordinary lentils. They felt completely ripped off! They left the restaurant very frustrated, angry, and still hungry. (On the other hand, the service and setting were very good; it was really the food that was completely unacceptable! Not to mention the price: exactly €126 for 2 people: 2 courses, 1 dessert, 1 glass of red wine, 2 flutes of crémant, 1 bottle of Lisbeth beer, and 2 espressos. That's €63 per person for such deplorable quality—it's barely believable!!)
