The spirit of Marie—who makes occasional appearances—and of her late husband hovers over the staff, whom the owners have managed to maintain in a family atmosphere that rubs off on the customers, who are always happy to be welcomed like friends. 08/09/2026: I came last month. I had the brunch menu with a savory dish, a sweet dish, and a drink. I had a bao bun, which was very good with a slightly spicy sauce. For dessert, I had a granola bowl, which was fresh, tasty, and filling—I loved it! I also had an orange juice. I recommend it.

22/08/2026: We spent one night in a dormitory at the farm-inn. Clean bathrooms, decent dormitories. A very warm welcome; Mrs. Hirth was the only one serving and therefore kept very busy. The meals (dinner and breakfast) were very good with very generous portions. The setting is exceptional. The only downside: the meal times and duration were not respected (3 hours for dinner!).

15/08/2026: On Saturday, August 15, 2026, after a long walk, I arrived with about ten friends for lunch at the Gresson farm inn in Oberbruck. The welcome and service throughout the meal were perfect. The meal, from appetizer to dessert, was excellent, homemade of course, with very fresh ingredients. We had the opportunity to visit the rooms. They have been tastefully renovated. 20/09/2026: A warm and welcoming restaurant with excellent service. I love the "homey" atmosphere. We had onion soup, sauerkraut, and baeckeoffe, followed by apple crumble and brownie for dessert. Everything was delicious! Thank you, I highly recommend it.

22/09/2026: We remember that evening at Au Trotthus with a certain affection—and at the same time with that quiet reserve that arises when an experience, while harmonious, wasn't entirely convincing. Days before, we had discovered the restaurant on a side street, almost hidden away, nearly at the end of the small alley. It was precisely this unassuming nature that immediately appealed to us, and we made a reservation without hesitation. On September 14, 2026, we received an exceptionally warm welcome and were allowed to choose the most beautiful table from the available ones. It had caught our eye the first time we walked by: right at the back, where the building's most massive beams radiate their centuries-old tranquility. A place with character, warm and inviting. The drinks arrived promptly, and we had ample time to put together our dinner. The restaurant serves traditional cuisine, so we opted for a true Alsatian evening. Maultaschen de Pois, Salade de Choucroute, and – a first for both of us – Parmentier d’effiloché de Bœuf d’Alsace. The crème brûlée for dessert was only manageable for my wife; my starter was practically a main course, and together with the main course, it was simply too much. The plates were attractively presented, the food solid, but generally rather under-seasoned, and overall too bland. The ambiance, on the other hand, was pleasant, the restaurant charming, and we felt comfortable. Ultimately, however, the lavish meal remained a rather harmless, somewhat bland experience – friendly, comfortable, but lacking that little spark that makes an evening truly unforgettable.

06/10/2026: We ate there for my 6-year-old son's birthday, and it was a new experience for my wife, introducing her to Lebanese flavors. The restaurant was perfect: the taste, the portions, and the surprise of the candle for our little one—we left delighted. The owner, the waitress, and the kitchen staff were all very pleasant. I'll definitely be back! 😁

14/09/2026: Once again, my sweetheart Marc and I had a wonderful evening at this restaurant we love to return to! We thoroughly enjoyed the all-you-can-eat mussels and fries. And as always, Aurélie, the owner, knows how to choose quality products! This time, we had the pleasure of tasting bouchot mussels from the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel (AOP): a real treat! 😋 The waitress was as pleasant and smiling as ever, and the chef made us laugh with his sigh of relief when we announced we'd finally had enough! 😂 It has to be said, we have a bit of a reputation for being mussel devourers… After our visit, the mussel supply took quite a beating! Thank you to the whole team for this lovely evening. We will be back, as always, with great pleasure!
