18/09/2024: Unfortunately for us this was one of our least favorite meals of our trip. After having eaten at four other Michelin restaurants before, for a two star Michelin restaurant this missed the mark. Our service was very slow and had to ask for ice water three times before it was delivered. The food was just ok.
We had a table vs. sitting at the counter which I think may have been part of the issue as they are known for their counter experience. We had eaten at the counter in the Left Bank restaurant years before on another visit when Joel was still alive and went back based upon that experience. For us, it’s just not as good with Joel having passed. R.I.P.

13/09/2024: It is THE reference in terms of Japanese cuisine. The dishes are good, the decor is beautiful. I've eaten there several times, whether to take away or eat in, and I've never been disappointed!

31/08/2024: When I went to Paris in the summer of 2024, I visited this restaurant the next day. There are many seats inside, but there seem to be very few people there; the menu is in French, and the reception staff speaks average English. The ramen I ordered didn't feel very authentic. The tonkotsu ramen also added sesame and minced meat, and it tasted just like that.

12/09/2024: A standout sushi restaurant. The price is slightly above average but considering the quality and also the portions served it is well worth it.
The vegetarian menu is great, as is the setting. On the other hand, you have to take the time because there is only one cook.

14/06/2024: “Discovered” this restaurant, although it has been open for 3 years. Pleasantly surprised by simple and tasty cuisine. Menu limited to 4 or 5 bentos at lunchtime; “tapas” are unfortunately only served in the evening.
Note: the (Japanese) wife of the (French) cook made a nice little selection of Japanese sakes 😉

However, if you eat there,
-don't be surprised if the reception favors orders by telephone over you who are on site
-if you are first and they take your order last
- if you go outside there is an additional waiting time to come and set the table
- also if you are outside you are next to the road with a good smell of excrement from time to time
- hygiene level, the small pots for the sauce are not washed well
- on top of that you can wait 20 minutes for someone to come take your order
- apparently it is quite complicated to bring back a sauce after requesting it since it comes 10 minutes later, the same for dessert
(Prices are quite expensive compared to other places)
30/07/2024: Order to take away, deadlines are respected.
On the other hand, the portions, especially the fried noodles, are small. The two pairs of beef and cheese skewers were cold, not even cooked, and really small.

The miso soup is 🤤The deliveries are quite fast and the delivery man is always friendly and very professional. I sincerely recommend
24/07/2024: Amateur de sushis nous avons plutôt été déçu. Produit frais mais manque de saveur. Très peu de sauce et qualité esthétique assez grossière.
Je ne dis pas que c'est mauvais mais je n'ai pas savouré surtout en livraison qui elle à été rapide par contre.
Prux un peu élevé pour la qualité

The service is excellent, but the food is very lacking for the price. So certainly the products are of quality but the preparation of the dishes is really not up to par.
We wondered if this was a health food restaurant or if we were in the “luxury” canteen of a nursing home?
No joke aside, no dish is worth the detour, not to mention the dressing...spending half the minimum wage for that: what a waste.
04/06/2024: Dinner here was a highlight of our visit. The atmosphere is quite comfortable and toned down. The dining experience itself was very enjoyable (great selections, wonderful presentation, high level of service) and the taste particularly agreeable for me. I found the price to be very reasonable overall. Chef Nakayama and his team do an excellent job.
Additionally, a final thank you to the kind woman who initially seated us and checked on both me and my wife throughout our meal. I am better with Japanese than French but not fluent and she was quite patient with me as we navigated the language barrier.
