13/08/2026: Excellent Lebanese takeout in Bonatrait. We were already familiar with Kessak restaurant in Thonon-les-Bains, which we love, and decided to have Lebanese food at home tonight. They answered the phone and took our order quickly and efficiently. The food arrived right on time. When we got home, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The portions were generous and the dishes were truly excellent. We highly recommend them.

02/05/2026: The best restaurant in Thonon! The flavor and quality of the dishes, the welcome and generosity of the restaurant owners… all the ingredients are there to make us have a pleasant time.

31/08/2026: A restaurant in a very pleasant setting with real character. The staff, especially the waitress that day, were very friendly and helpful. The chef was attentive and his dishes were excellent... and his praline tiramisu was exceptional. Thank you for the warm welcome and kindness.

22/08/2026: Staff was friendly, but the food was burned and tasteless, we payed almost 80 euros.

30/08/2026: Run-down restaurant...closed half the week, menu items advertised: rib-eye steak (made to order), pizza, calzone... Where is the chef who trained at renowned Parisian restaurants, in New York, and who knows where else?

11/08/2026: A delightful and charming little restaurant overlooking the charming marina of Bellegarde. Fresh ingredients prepared with care by the chef. We'll be back!

21/08/2026: Avoid at all costs! The duck breast was microwaved, the chef's unwillingness to question his methods and his arrogance, and the ribeye steak had a dubious smell and taste. We left and will never return!

21/08/2026: Really nice place. As for the meal, I had cod au gratin with aioli, it was delicious! There were five of us and everyone enjoyed it. (Gamba, pizza and children's menus available)

22/07/2026: Unfortunately, it was not a particularly pleasant experience. The staff was rather cold, although generally okay. We had reserved a table on the terrace, but we were surrounded by wasps. I was stung by one of them, as well as bitten by other insects, and I had to act as a shield for my little girl to prevent her from being stung too. As for the food, it was definitely not worth it. I ordered a pizza with mozzarella and prosciutto, but there was practically no mozzarella on it, and everything was extremely salty. They noticed that the wasps had taken over our table and moved us inside the restaurant, which we appreciated. Later, my husband’s fish arrived. He had asked for it grilled and served with vegetables, but it was brought fried, not properly cooked, with a portion of instant mashed potatoes and a mayonnaise-based sauce. We will not be returning.

17/07/2026: This review only covers the restaurant, as we did not stay at the hotel. On the recommendation of our hotel in Sartene, we came for dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We enjoyed fresh fish prepared with skill and at reasonable prices; we highly recommend it without hesitation.

10/07/2026: My friend and I went to eat at Auberge de Marrakech: the food was delicious and very generous. The owner is very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend it!

09/09/2026: I'd like to make a small remark to the waiter who was vehemently criticizing customers yesterday for drinking a beer in the morning! It was 9:00 AM! I used to come in for a half-pint (sometimes even at 8:30 AM...) and that's MY prerogative. I won't do it again until Christophe is back.

16/08/2026: The owner's daughter is very haughty and speaks rudely to the kind waitress, which is quite unpleasant to witness. We also got the impression that the owner didn't much care for Algerians… A rather disappointing experience.

09/08/2026: We absolutely loved it, would come back and recommend it. The food was delicious, and a great large portion (we could no finish it). The ambiance is very nice, this was a great discovery for us, we did a quick search and stumble upon this place and we were so happy! It was really full, which meant is good food, we actually had to leave and come back for the second shift. There were a couple of large family tables, and with great reason! The attention was superb but also the food. Nice terrace area and indoors for the winter. If you have the chance to eat here while visiting the south of France, don’t miss it!

25/08/2026: Superb welcome, very pleasant restaurant, the staff were great, honestly, nothing to complain about. As for the food, it was also excellent, absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it.

21/08/2026: Avoid this restaurant at all costs!!! We had booked a table for 8:30 pm. However, the reservation was made incorrectly, but a solution was found fairly quickly. We ordered appetizers, but when our food arrived, one of the drinks was the wrong one. We had to wait over an hour for our main courses. The food itself didn't live up to our expectations, especially considering the price. The kebabs weren't seasoned. The salads contained sand. The steak we ordered medium-rare arrived rare. The chicken burger was dry and cold. The pre-made fries were actually quite good (the only edible thing). We weren't the only ones complaining about the wait. Several tables waited an hour, and another waited two hours, for their meals. On the other hand, a special mention goes to our waiter, Mathieu, who did his best given the terrible organization in the kitchen. Finally, the bill was very high for four people. In terms of value for money, it's better to go to a fast food restaurant.

02/03/2026: 2 hours and 10 minutes for a starter, main course, and coffee... definitely only order one course because once the starter is served (quickly), you're hooked and the long wait begins... Otherwise, apart from one waitress who absolutely must find another job, they're friendly... liars like they're tooth-pullers – "It's coming right away, sir!!!" – but friendly! A bit pricey for what it is. 🤔

03/01/2026: Superb restaurant overlooking the harbor. A delight! The cuisine is refined, the menu is excellent, and it also includes vegetarian options. The staff is very pleasant and attentive. A must-try!

14/05/2026: Honestly, a disastrous experience. The fries weren't even cooked: white, soggy, and tasteless. The waiter was completely absent and unresponsive. The meat was full of fat, almost inedible. Even the water had a strange, very unsettling taste. The worst part was the hygiene: I found a shrimp antenna and a hair in my food. This is unacceptable in a restaurant. Clearly, the hygiene is lacking, and it completely ruins your appetite. I absolutely do not recommend this place. Very disappointed by the quality of the food and the lack of professionalism of the service.
