16/06/2026: I came with my family; the restaurant was almost empty, yet we waited a full hour before our order was taken, and then another hour to be served. I won't be going back. We arrived at 12:30 PM and left at 4:30 PM.

09/06/2026: Declining Service and Declining Quality It is with great regret that we are removing our previous positive review to update our current experience. As regulars at Le Chary restaurant, where we spent almost all of last summer as well as the off-season, our most recent visit was unfortunately very disappointing. The service has declined dramatically, to the point where we wonder how the recruitment process was handled. The two waitresses completely lacked professionalism. One of them was dressed in a vulgar manner, and both let customers become impatient before finally serving them with an extremely nonchalant attitude. We saw several people sit down and then leave for another terrace, tired of waiting for attention. The same was true for a large table of about fifteen people who had to wait 20 minutes before a customer flagged down a waitress so they could finally be seated. For our part, the waitress was unpleasant and pushy. After having a drink, we wanted to eat. As for the food, we ordered our usual mussels. While the price increase wasn't a problem, the quality was definitely not the same. The mussels with Roquefort sauce were absolutely disappointing: the sauce was practically nonexistent, as if a cheap piece of cheese had just been thrown in hastily during reheating. To get any flavor at all, we had to ask for extra sauce (which we chose garlic cream, as the mussels with garlic cream we ordered separately were fine). Finally, the meal was ruined by an inappropriate haste: while we were eating, we were asked three times if we had finished so they could clear the table. If the waitresses put as much enthusiasm into welcoming and serving customers as they do into rushing them out, the experience would have been much better. While we used to warmly recommend this establishment and send friends, acquaintances, and people we met there, we will now definitely no longer advertise this restaurant. It's a real shame. The restrooms, although not particularly attractive, were at least usually clean. This time, it was simply shameful: they were filthy from the very start of service.

11/05/2026: La Réserve de la Mala is incredibly beautifully situated – right in a stunning bay with a truly unique atmosphere. The location is absolutely one of a kind and beautifully decorated. I love it! The food is also outstanding, and the entire experience feels very exclusive. A particularly great feature: you can even order a water taxi and be picked up directly from the boat – this makes the visit even more special. The only downside for me is the price-performance ratio for some of the simpler dishes. For example, the Pasta Pomodoro for children was considerably overpriced. Nevertheless, overall it's a wonderful place that everyone should experience at least once.

29/04/2026: The name has changed (it's now Le Méditerranéen), as has the decor, but the owner remains the same. The menu has also evolved, but the classic dishes are still there. A very warm welcome and good value for money. If they have pastillas, don't hesitate to try them (they're not always on the menu, but you can order them in advance).

13/05/2026: Excellent brasserie. The chef is truly very good. And it's inexpensive too. Simple, tasty dishes with efficient and friendly service. If only all brasseries were like this...

22/04/2026: I work nearby. I can't go anywhere else. The food is delicious. The menu changes daily. The price is more than reasonable. The welcome and service are impeccable. Well done!

19/08/2026: The owner, to save money, takes leftover wine from customers, mixes it with cheap plonk, and serves it to other customers. The North African pastries aren't made by his mother, but rather by Metro. The coffee is made from an ancient machine; the decaf in this restaurant is just regular coffee, and the Turkish coffee is the worst: it's just coffee grounds from a regular coffee shop with hot water. Food storage principles are ignored; the labels used to date the food are never replaced (not the food itself). The food storage area, located in the basement, is absolutely filthy: one of the worst cellars in the world, teeming with rats. The drinks storage area, located a little further down the road, is in the same deplorable state as the cellar. Furthermore, fresh produce is nonexistent; everything is frozen solid. There's also a HUGE rodent problem that the owners have decided not to address, to the point where there are literally tunnels in the walls. Here's a brief summary of my experience there, and I wouldn't set foot in that place again for anything.

14/09/2026: Hoggar is truly an incredible place in Lyon! We're regulars and we're never disappointed. Everything is excellent, from the food and the quality of the ingredients to the generous portions and the service. It's always a real pleasure to come back; we enjoy every meal and the atmosphere is always fantastic. A sure bet that I recommend without hesitation, and above all, a place we never tire of returning to!

14/07/2026: A beautiful, peaceful place. The owners are very kind. The room was clean and tastefully decorated; the only minor drawback was the lack of a second electrical outlet. The sound of cicadas in this idyllic setting was wonderful. The complimentary fresh lemonade upon arrival was much appreciated during the heatwave. In short, don't hesitate, I highly recommend it! And we will certainly return every year!

10/11/2025: Very disappointed, a disaster. The meat was dry, very little meat, and there was a lot of salad. It tasted like reheated food. What a shame.

03/11/2025: We had a very good experience at this restaurant where the service was impeccable and the food excellent and beautifully presented. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Perhaps just one small point for improvement: the ambiance could benefit from softer lighting and some oriental music to create a truly immersive experience.
