21/03/2026: when we booked the hotel it said the restraunt would be open ,one of the reasons we chose this place.3 days before our arrival we were informed the a la carte would not be available ,also they would not supply towels for the swimming pool.Too late for us to change hotel!!Their reason was that it was to early in the season?Not our fault.We were also told we would be the only guests staying,as tho"this was some kind of privalage.When we went down for breakfast there were 12 people having breakfast.....so much for it being out of season!!! I,m afraid I came away feeling like I had been lied to,this has left a bad taste .I can not recommend this hotel.

02/05/2026: A truly delightful experience at the Auberge de Pont-du-Château. Exceptional cuisine, refined, elegant, and beautifully presented. We enjoyed the "local and international" menu. I highly recommend it. Friendly and discreet staff.

26/04/2026: Hello, Our evening with my friend started off, well, a bit shaky, but... Having never been to this kind of place before, I wasn't expecting much, but once I pushed open the automatic doors, I was catapulted into the upper echelons of Auvergne society! Magnificent establishment! I'd like to add a sixth star for the waiter who was truly helpful and kind, and a seventh for the people in the smoking area who were all "good vibes"! I recommend this casino if, like us, you're a chaotic duo with delusions of grandeur; we had a good laugh! Now you might be wondering if beginner's luck worked on me! Well, I regret to inform you that I'm the unluckiest person ever. At least it's not too bad, I only lost €10. But as they say, 100% of losers give up before they win 😎 Oh yes, and an eighth star also goes to the gentleman at the entrance who was really nice! I'm really finishing this time: the location is also great because after blowing all your money, you can go and relax at Royat Tonic right next door. Don't thank me for this obviously brilliant idea!

16/04/2026: The staff is friendly, very courteous, helpful, and always smiling. There are numerous and varied activities throughout the year, all very well organized. The gaming bar is perfect for a drink or a snack. The restaurant offers several set menus, and the food is well-prepared. A pleasant casino with beautiful decor.

18/05/2026: Once again (our fourth visit!), everything was perfect from start to finish! Everything was delicious, refined, sophisticated, and original! The only downside: they're closed for part of August, so our friends from Nantes visiting Auvergne won't have the great opportunity to experience these two passionate and talented restaurateurs! A huge thank you for this wonderful experience. See you soon (15 days to wait… ;)))

12/05/2026: The cuisine is well-executed, with excellent preparation. A wine bar serving wines by the glass is very pleasant for occasionally enjoying fine wines. 🍷 The atmosphere surprised me 🥶 despite the very pretty decor.

09/05/2026: The park was magnificent, and not crowded, which made it lovely to enjoy. The peacocks roaming around the park were very pretty. The "Top of the World" viewpoint is incredible and not to be missed; a little animal followed us, which was very funny. A minor complaint: we had a smoothie at the Top of the World viewpoint, but it wasn't very good, considering the price... But we're not holding it against them; after all, it helps the park. Everything else was really great. We loved it, and we'll be back! :)

23/11/2025: As for the food, there's a good selection, and most of the cakes and desserts seem to be homemade. I tried the tiramisu, and it was excellent. Hot chocolate with melted chocolate. The overall atmosphere is nice, but the cleanliness could be improved, especially the restrooms... Almost full this Saturday at the end of November during teatime 😁

03/05/2026: My friends and I went to La Souillarde hoping to have a nice time during our annual vacation. What a disappointment it was… it was a culinary disaster! First, a fly (according to the waitress) landed under a goat cheese toast. Then, a hair appeared in the truffade… which was paired with a cheap slice of raw ham, probably from a supermarket. Furthermore, a €26 ribeye steak that was nothing like a ribeye. Just fat, sinew, and it wasn't cooked properly… in short, inedible. We also ordered a glass of red wine, which we weren't given a choice of, and it arrived at the table without any further explanation… In short, we could also mention the frozen desserts and the waitress's complete lack of concern for all these problems, but it's best to leave it at that. We do not recommend this restaurant.

A huge thank you especially to our server, Diego, who was fantastic from beginning to end: professional, friendly, and very attentive. He truly made our visit even more enjoyable. I highly recommend it.

22/04/2026: The biggest rip-off of the century! Last night we were served by a nonchalant waitress. If she had somewhere to throw the plates in our faces, she would have… We expressed our dissatisfaction, and she replied with an ironic, "Nothing to worry about." Unacceptable!!! The charcuterie platter consisted of two pieces of ham with toast (no butter), the meat with three fries, and to top it off, it was Tuesday, so they should have restocked after the weekend. We couldn't order a bottle of champagne, so we settled for Jack Daniels… bad luck, it was cheap whiskey. We asked to exchange the glasses immediately… all for an outrageous price… The Buffalo Grill in Thiers has decided to follow the mediocre trend of ripping off the French… as if the price of gas wasn't enough!!! I'm not thanking you at all. If I had to choose, I'd eat on a beggar's head next time…
