The hosts are friendly, attentive, and available, with good service and a generous breakfast. Regarding the room, we always prefer a shower to a bathtub; that's the only slight drawback…

23/05/2026: A charming hotel that we stayed in between the Ascension Day holiday rush and the Whit Monday weekend in 2026. The owner gave us a warm welcome, showing us to our room and providing information. The room was a good size for sleeping, and the small bathroom was adequate. We would have preferred a shower cubicle rather than a small bathtub (hence the one-star deduction for the room), but our hygiene wasn't affected 😄. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant after a swim in the indoor pool. The meal was excellent, and the service was pleasant. In short, very good value for money for this lovely establishment. Thank you again for the warm welcome.

04/10/2026: This is a really great brasserie in Clermont-Ferrand! The food and desserts are excellent, the terrace on Place de la Victoire is very pleasant, and the service is perfect, with smiles (and sometimes laughter) from the staff. We had a wonderful time.

It makes you wonder how they manage it...unless others are taking us for fools. Plus, there's a large parking lot right across the street, expressly reserved for customers 😉 Best of luck to you both. Full menu: starter, main course, cheese, dessert, wine, and coffee for €15.40. Aside from at home, it's hard to find better.

26/06/2026: The best burgers in Clermont-Ferrand. I've been enjoying the Cantal and thyme burger for years. I love it so much that I can never bring myself to try the others! (Actually, I have occasionally given in to the "So British," which is also amazing). The fries are delicious, and the owners are always lovely!

04/10/2026: I ordered three dishes, and found steel wool in the first one. I asked the waiter to return it, and they agreed and took it away. However, when it came time to pay, they suddenly said they could only refund one-third of the price. Are they charging two-thirds for a dish I only ate one bite of? The restaurant's hygiene was appalling; the tables were covered in grease. The waiters were also rude, acting as if the customers owed them money. And every time I order takeout, the dry pot chicken is burnt. The restaurant claims the black meat isn't burnt; is it edible charcoal? It tastes bitter, and they refuse to refund me?
