And unfortunately, I must say, because it's a far cry from the restaurant where you practically had to book a table, and the manager who ran the dining room and staff with the air of a high-end establishment... Now, it's an empty room with the cooks sharing their conversations with everyone, while the meat dishes are expensive but not necessarily good! Goodbye to the delicious baked apple and its sauce, hello to microwaved mashed potatoes and a side dish fit for a baby, with a sauce that's barely visible in the tiny ramekin... In short, I hadn't been for a couple of years, but they won't be seeing me again because it's changed drastically, and not for the better...

My initial review is included below so everyone can understand the context. I note that my compliments about the food were acknowledged, but my criticisms of the welcome and service seem much harder to accept. There were three of us, including my visually impaired mother-in-law who uses a wheelchair. I mentioned the lack of welcome, the repeated waits, a request for a goodwill gesture that went unanswered, and the manager's attitude. In response, management prefers to explain that one shouldn't confuse "personal experience" with "absolute truth." What a strange concept of customer relations! A Google review is precisely for sharing a lived experience, whether positive or negative. After consulting other public reviews, I also noticed that some customers reported similar difficulties, and several responses from management struck me as particularly defensive. Perhaps it's time to reflect on their own practices rather than trying to discredit dissatisfied customers? And if listening to criticism and being diplomatic is such a challenge, perhaps they should consider a career change to a field where customer relations are less central. Professionalism isn't about always having the last word, but about knowing how to listen. I'll let readers judge for themselves, based on my experience and the establishment's response. ——— INITIAL REVIEW OF OCTOBER 9, 2026 ——— An exceptional homemade dessert… but very disappointing service and management! We went to La Boucherie de Perpignan as a family, accompanied by my visually impaired mother-in-law, who uses a wheelchair. Upon arrival, no one came to greet us or seat us. So we chose our own table. While independence is nice, a little courtesy is always appreciated! As for the food, no complaints: the dishes were good and the homemade dessert was absolutely exceptional! Kudos to whoever made it. Unfortunately, the service was subpar: repeated waits, sometimes unfriendly service, and waitresses who seemed particularly tense. Without knowing their working conditions, this atmosphere made me wonder. On the terrace, after these waits, I asked for a simple gesture of goodwill: complimentary coffees. The waitress was supposed to call the manager. I agreed, but no one came. Tired of waiting, I went inside to pay. The manager finally arrived with what I personally found a haughty attitude, disputing the reported wait times. Yet, three of us had experienced the delays, including my visually impaired mother-in-law. No need to check your watch to feel the time passing! As I left the establishment, while my partner pushed her mother's wheelchair, I kept turning around to check that everything was alright. I repeatedly caught the lingering gaze of a man sitting on the terrace, whom I assumed was the manager's partner, cigarette in hand. I personally found this situation unpleasant and intimidating. A Wild West atmosphere we could have done without! 🤠 This experience also makes me reflect on the difficulties of recruitment in the restaurant industry. Without knowing the inner workings of this establishment, I think that a respectful welcome and a calm atmosphere are essential, for both customers and employees. In conclusion: kudos to the kitchen staff, especially for that memorable homemade dessert! As for the service and the handling of our complaint, they deserve more attention and professionalism. Good food makes you want to come back. So does a warm welcome. Unfortunately, we only received half the recipe!

21/09/2026: Our worst meal so far on this holiday: The fish was so heavily fried/baked in oil that it was dripping with it. The fries, on the other hand, had clearly been fried early that morning, only to be reheated and served at lunchtime. The snotty waitress seated us at a table right by the street, remarking that we had a dog with us. Because of the narrowness of the space next to the table, she kept startling the dog, who had just dozed off, while serving us (we couldn't exactly put him down in the middle of the street). The best part: Our originally requested table and the one next to it were occupied by other dog owners a short time later... luckily, there are always plenty of alternatives...

10/10/2026: A very pretty setting, pleasant and excellent service, and a real treat!

19/09/2026: Dinner had on a Friday evening in an almost empty room and the meal was very expensive for the quantity on the plate.

13/09/2026: One of my favorite spots The cocktails, especially the custom creations, are incredible (honestly, try them and you'll see!). The bartender (Clément) caters to each person and their individual preferences; I tried to push him a little, and it was excellent. The food is good and high-quality; I always eat well and leave satisfied. In short, I had a fantastic time with very welcoming staff, and I'll definitely be back!

21/08/2026: We called to make a reservation, but when we arrived our table wasn't ready. We ordered an aperitif and wanted a charcuterie board, but the waiter told us there would be a long wait because he had to serve the people who arrived before us. So, we forgot about the charcuterie board. The service was slow. It's a shame because the waiters were very friendly and the food was generous.

11/07/2026: Hello, I am contacting you because I am a regular customer, but my visit this morning left a very bad taste in my mouth. I arrived a little before opening time. The doors were already physically open, but I was refused access to the restrooms because I needed to use them urgently, on the pretext that there were 3 minutes left before the official opening time. Right after that, I returned a box full of luggage. The employee refused to refund me, claiming there was a scanning problem or that the return had already been processed. I left with only €2.10, which was far from the amount due. I usually appreciate the friendly service of your store, but this lack of flexibility and this refund issue have greatly disappointed me. How can we resolve the problem of this incorrectly scanned luggage? Thank you in advance for your reply. Sincerely, Update: The manager contacted me by email to refuse any refund for my physical till, hiding behind account statistics. She didn't even apologize for her employee's appalling behavior and, worse, condoned it. Deplorable business practices, avoid them at all costs.

09/10/2026: I chose this restaurant at random while out for a stroll, and I absolutely don't regret it. We received a very warm welcome and were able to choose our table. The cocktails offered as aperitifs were really good, and the gin and tonic was well-made. The dishes were beautifully presented and generous, giving them that authentic, home-style cooking feel. The desserts were decadent and addictive; you'll want to have another one. It's a truly lovely place, perfect for couples, families, or even groups of friends—it's definitely worth a visit.

04/10/2026: Attention French customers: a real tourist trap. This restaurant absolutely does not deserve its rating and reviews! We stopped there without checking the reviews, simply drawn in by the smell of cheese, and the disappointment was total. The service is mediocre, with very unfriendly waiters. The food isn't any better: overcooked potatoes, processed meats, and shameful cocktails (no ice, completely flat sparkling water). Only the rather pretty setting slightly redeems the evening. Avoid this place; you'll thank us later.

04/10/2026: We chose this restaurant based on a Google recommendation, but unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to our expectations. The atmosphere felt rather un-Parisian, and the waiter who served our table was particularly unfriendly, even sarcastic, while rushing through our order. As for the food, with the exception of the salad, we were disappointed. The raclette platter left almost untouched, with very poor-quality charcuterie presented in an unappetizing way, more like something you'd find in a school cafeteria, with two slices of pickle thrown in as decoration. Fortunately, to end this experience on a more pleasant note, Notre-Dame was waiting for us nearby, silent and majestic. It, at least, did not disappoint us. Anna and Silvia
