15/03/2026: Excellent lunch. Simple, hearty, and delicious. Arriving without a reservation on this cool but sunny day, we were warmly welcomed by two very friendly and efficient waitresses. We took advantage of a cancellation to move from the shaded terrace to the sunny one! Perfect for a couple of motorcyclists looking for a bit of warmth! We'll be back... with a reservation!

09/03/2026: A huge disappointment with the French toast (was it frozen?), which was really not up to standard. It's therefore difficult to justify prices that are higher than many other restaurants in Versailles... Furthermore, parking in the area is extremely difficult in the evening.

08/03/2026: We had appetizers, but the main courses arrived much too quickly. As a result, the appetizers were a bit too short. Thank you.

24/05/2026: We came for lunch today as a family of three. We had booked a table on the terrace for Sunday lunch. We received a very warm welcome. The meal was superb. The waiters and waitresses were fantastic, especially considering how busy it was. What more can I say? We had a lovely time. Thank you to the whole team.

23/05/2026: The setting is very pretty, however the service leaves much to be desired. The wait times are extremely long. Furthermore, the waffle is really not recommended; it's a mass-produced waffle, which is truly disappointing. Finally, the diabolo was very small, which is also a great shame.

27/05/2026: It was busy, but they weren't really friendly. They preferred to watch us go outside because it couldn't go fast enough.

18/05/2026: The restaurant is just off the Caen ring road, and the parking lot is large. The food is good. It's a nice break on our journey.

22/05/2026: We'd been there a few months earlier; there were notices at reception saying the heating was broken, and yesterday there was a sign saying service might be disrupted due to staff shortages... The waitress spilled a tray of drinks on our neighbors, there was broken glass on the floor and liquid everywhere... Yes, being a waiter is a profession, but these days everyone's just winging it... Anyway, the meat was tough, the fries were tiny portions (I didn't even ask if we were having a good time), there was only one toilet for everyone with a sink inside, and the door was filthy, and there wasn't another sink. We didn't say a word. In short, that was the last time 😬

22/05/2026: A little disappointed... The location is good, with a great atmosphere right in the heart of the food district. However, I was very disappointed with what I ate. I ordered a burger, and seeing the menu, I was expecting a great burger with quality ingredients, and at €18.90, I thought I'd get my money's worth. The disappointment came when my burger was served... A burger that didn't look very appetizing, with a tiny, overcooked patty—I wouldn't call it a "local steak" at all—a measly lettuce leaf, and "fresh" fries that looked like they'd been reheated. The taste was okay, but nothing special. I do want to mention that the waiter was pleasant. But still, €18.90 for a burger with a patty that looked less than 100g is expensive.

05/03/2026: A pleasure throughout the entire meal. Angèle was the person to meet throughout the service (joy, lots of laughs). A real firecracker in the butcher shop. A true professional. This needs to be said loud and clear! Bravo to the staff! Long live Angèle!

05/05/2026: September 26, 2025 The takeout order was delicious. The cheese baskets were creamy and flavorful. Congratulations to the kitchen staff for preparing this delicious dish. The sauces were still just warm, perfectly complementing the crunch and meltiness of the little cheese bites. Furthermore, a well-deserved rating. 04/05/2026: I did not enjoy my experience at all with flies on my food. The waiter Mathieu replied by take off without changing the sauce. It was very slow service and surprisingly different kind of ambiance. The food was not so good. It taste like it was taking out from the freezer and heat up to be ready to eat it up. I will not come back soon or again. I used to be a big fan of it.

13/03/2026: We booked for the evening, and the experience began with a ride up in a snow groomer under a magnificent starry sky—already a magical moment. Upon arrival, we received a very warm welcome with a plate of appetizers and a glass of raspberry prosecco. Then, we enjoyed an excellent raclette, followed by a homemade dessert and a small glass of génépi liqueur to finish the meal. The return trip in the snow groomer was the perfect ending to this timeless evening. Excellent evening, warm welcome, and delicious meal. I highly recommend it!

03/03/2026: Because in life you always need a goal, for me (on snowshoes) and Madonna (on foot) it's the Pegueiou and its sausage! Because after the effort comes the reward with a team that takes such good care of you. Thank you all and we'll be back on Thursday!

24/06/2026: In the midst of a heatwave, Lac des Sapins is a true oasis of coolness! We came here to escape the sweltering temperatures and we weren't disappointed—the shade of the fir trees, the clear, cool water of the lake, it was exactly what we needed. A magnificent natural setting, a serene and soothing atmosphere, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Perfect for swimming, walking, or simply relaxing in the shade and enjoying the peace and quiet. A true slice of paradise that we're delighted to have (re)discovered this summer. A must-do when the heat becomes unbearable!
