11/12/2025: The menu we enjoyed was simply perfect, a testament to the chef's talent and creativity.
The starter, the chicken and veal pâté en croûte with black trumpet mushrooms and apple chutney, was a masterpiece. The apple chutney provided a sweet and tangy touch that perfectly balanced the dish. It's a starter well worth the trip for anyone who appreciates a modern twist on classic regional cuisine.
The duck breast fillet was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy.
The side dishes, particularly the leg prepared finger-style and the layered beetroot, demonstrated impeccable technique. The Cumberland sauce elegantly brought everything together. A flavorful dish that will delight even the most discerning palates.
To finish, the quince pavlova was the ideal final touch. Light, fruity, and visually stunning, it ended the meal on a refreshingly delicious note.

Our only small point is that some themed menus require all guests to order them. It's a minor detail, but it's helpful to know when booking online!

10/12/2025: What a disaster, where do I even begin?
Meals at the restaurant: incomplete order, two Cokes, one of which was a diet (they didn't differentiate between the two), and one was supposed to have ice, but there was none.
Then my 15-year-old son accidentally cut himself slightly with their equipment: no dressing was available to clean the wound, and above all, absolutely NO consideration for the person, no empathy. They told me, "This has never happened before." Well, it did this time. My son didn't eat, neither did my partner, and we ended up in the emergency room for three hours to get the wound stitched!

28/11/2025: Had a fantastic dinner here. Came with family and friends and everyone was extremely satisfied with the food and the good service. Firstly, after ordering we got a complimentary amuse-bouche which was Pureed Pea Soup / Potage Saint-Germain. It was delicious and a great start. The Foie gras was classic. A nice appetizer to share, served with bread. Then as a main I tried the Braised Ham Hock / Jambonneau Braisé and it was so delicious and tender. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, melts in your mouth. The only negative was the dessert I tried. We were in a rush at the end of the meal and when we informed the waiter our desserts came out almost instantly. The creme brûlée and creme caramel that people ordered was perfect but I got the chocolate ice cream and sadly it wasn't creamy and it wasn't frozen well because it had ice pieces inside. Other than that everything was fantastic! I highly recommend making a reservation before coming here since it's quite popular and is almost always full.

01/10/2024: Dinner on the evening of September 19 for my wife's birthday. We book for 7:00 p.m., order the aperitif and as we already know what we want to eat, we also order the dishes.
The aperitif arrives 5 minutes later and we don't have time to finish it as the dishes and the wine arrive immediately. Dessert and coffee same punishment, after having finished our dishes..
Summary, back at our home at 7:50 p.m. (we live in Stutzheim right next door) and we really have the impression of having been expedited.
Too bad, used to the place with the previous owner, we don't think we'll return there soon.

23/09/2024: Great discovery! This restaurant is ideally located near the city center and various parking lots. The dishes were very good, the service quick, and the staff pleasant. The only downside is that there are no spicier dishes on the menu (there are only dishes with mild spices). I still recommend it!

The price is absolutely right, we ate for two with an aperitif, starter and main course and more room for dessert 😅 we left the restaurant having eaten well!

19/01/2025: We had the pleasure of dining at LE FRANGIN restaurant and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The warm welcome and attentive service immediately put us at ease. Each dish was a real explosion of flavors, prepared with fresh, high quality ingredients. Special mention for the pasta which was particularly delicious.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is also very pleasant, with careful decoration and a friendly atmosphere. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. Well done to the whole team!

07/09/2024: Catastrophe.. je suis déçu même avant de venir chez vous.. a chaque fois que j'essaie de réserver on se croirait a Versailles.. Je veux réserver une table avec 4 personnes et 3 chiens au lieu de me répondre, on me raccroche au nez, j'essaie de rappeler on me décroche plus au téléphone. On ira mangé ailleurs on a retenu la leçon ! Danke !

16/11/2024: Disappointing value for money. We were there this evening, the service is family-friendly and the setting is clean but a little outdated. But that's not so serious. On the other hand, the meal was a big false note. We had a Châteaubriant and Cordon Bleu. The garnish no matter the plate was cold. But the worst was the cold Châteaubriant and the fries too, we point out we take the plates back to the kitchen. They don't even come back straight with the fries and Bearnaise sauce on them so you can imagine that it was still as cold at 64 euros, the pill is still having trouble passing despite the aperitifs offered. First false note the Châteaubriant for 2 is not served on a plate and secondly when you bring plates back to the kitchen you don't come back with the same plates this is far from professional. Too bad because an error can happen anywhere, but not repairing it or at least not correctly is damaging.
