05/10/2026: Very disappointed... I'd been wanting to eat at this typical Strasbourg restaurant for a long time. And this time, for my daughter's birthday, we went as a family of six. First, we were made to wait outside in the street for over 20 minutes, which was already a disgrace considering we had booked weeks in advance. "It's to set your table," they told us. Then, we ordered six half-portions of foie gras: two from the regular menu and the other four from the "gourmet" menu. The first two arrived fairly quickly, but the remaining four took 10 minutes, and judging by the size of the foie gras slices, it was clear we had different definitions of "gourmet." Then came the disaster in the kitchen... Two braised ham hocks from the à la carte menu, one of which still had blood near the bone, clearly undercooked and not braised at all, and a 45-minute to 1-hour wait for the four courses on the menu, including three sauerkraut dishes, supposedly the highlight of the meal... A pathetic quenelle of liver of some unknown kind that had no business being there, a frankfurter that looked like it came from the local fast-food joint, a slice of ham and a piece of bacon, and a standard smoked sausage, all served on a bed of lukewarm sauerkraut despite the 45-minute wait. Clearly, the cooks were hired the day before... And to think they have Michelin Bib Gourmand stars displayed at the entrance... it's a disgrace to the guide. With a hefty bill of €385, they offered us a bottle of Riesling, the cheapest on the menu, which must cost less than €10 at trade prices... What a disappointment! What a rip-off! A word of advice: to be carefully avoided

21/06/2026: Lovely place with attentive staff and very good food for a lot less money than most other places on the central island. The Flammekuche was great and the vitello tonnato was outstanding. Will definitely return.

15/09/2026: We tried the beetroot carpaccio with ricotta as a starter, followed by the salmon steak and the burgers as main courses. Everything was delicious. The starter was garnished with roasted hazelnuts that paired perfectly with the beetroot and ricotta. The burger meat was very tender and flavorful, and the sauces complemented it well. We didn't ask if there were any vegetarian options. The atmosphere was calm and the decor pleasant. The staff was very friendly and relaxed. A truly enjoyable experience!

03/10/2026: Honestly, the food is even better than homemade! Seriously. It was my first time here. Since I'm new to the city, I chose this restaurant somewhat randomly after looking at Google Maps. I saw it was a Tunisian restaurant and thought, why not? And what a wonderful discovery! I received a very warm welcome. The restaurant is very pleasant, with a cozy atmosphere and soft, soothing background music. And then, the food… a real treat! It's so good that I'd even say it's better than homemade, and even better than in Tunisia! The portions are really very generous. They serve you a good amount, and personally, I couldn't even finish my plate! The chef kindly offered to take some home with me. I found that really sweet: they are so attentive, kind, and responsive to their customers. The owner is also very friendly. The chef personally comes to the dining room to check on the customers and make sure everyone is having a good time. It's really appreciated. An excellent place that I recommend to everyone. A real gem! ❤️

14/09/2026: A wonderful discovery at the Tunisian restaurant Dromadaire. Mohamed and Leila gave us a lovely welcome; we felt right at home. The tagine and couscous were delicious, showcasing the best of Tunisian flavors. The service was friendly and attentive, with thoughtful touches like little cakes and tea. We'll definitely be back. 🫶❤️

11/09/2026: We intended to eat at the restaurant at the mill in Bischwiller. We made a reservation by phone for two people using the Passe-Gourmand voucher, in which the restaurant is listed. The person taking my reservation, when I mentioned we were booking with the Passe-Gourmand voucher, told me that they no longer accept reservations through the program because that clientele is only looking for the lowest price, and that they don't offer low-cost options, which is contrary to their contract with the Passe-Gourmand organization. My opinion: this restaurant has a contract with Passe-Gourmand, so they are aware of how the program works and its rules. People who use the Passe-Gourmand voucher have paid a fee to discover new places to eat. If the restaurant owner no longer agrees to the contract he signed, he should at least, out of respect for those who paid for the gourmet pass, honor his contract, which is not the case here. Because to portray me as a low-cost customer, you'd first need to know who you're dealing with! Before even considering tasting your dishes, I had the pleasure of enjoying meals in numerous restaurants, including some with Michelin stars! Honor your commitments, sir of the restaurant at the mill, before calling me a low-cost customer, thank you in advance!

06/09/2026: Burnt, creamy, black, inedible! I mentioned it to the owner, who simply replied, "We use brown breadcrumbs," not even a simple "sorry, excuse me!" The waitress was much more polite and understanding. The menu says tiramisu, so I order it. A mascarpone mousse with speculoos arrives. Now I ask the ITALIAN owner, has she ever found a tiramisu like that in Italy? If so, where? For an Italian restaurant, you're very, very far from Italian cuisine! Dog poop in the gardens, and in the playground! DISGUSTING! Ps. To the owner... I do the same job as you and hold the same position. She should change her attitude and learn to apologize to a customer when there's a mistake, on the part of the kitchen team. And not make up excuses. After all this, no discount, not even a free coffee! Never again! And happy holidays!

27/09/2026: The tarte flambée au gratinée was excellent and generously topped. The beef tartare was hearty, with beautifully colored and well-seasoned meat, topped with a raw egg in the middle (a unique touch), and served with a salad. A large, delicious ham hock was also served with fries and salad. And for dessert, an enormous profiterole. We were delighted, and the waitresses were very attentive. We will be back.

21/08/2026: A place that remains true to itself! The staff is very friendly, the terrace is lovely, and the simple cuisine is always excellent. I go there regularly, and the quality is consistently high. Well done for this consistency!
