22/06/2025: I hadn't been to this establishment for over 10 years... and one Saturday morning, I wanted to sit down and have a simple long coffee with a glass of water... a decent welcome from the server, but then, what shocked me the most was the price of the long coffee: €3.20... And then they tell me that American chains are expensive... an espresso with water added... €3.20... I had to wait a good 15 minutes afterward to be billed... the server was preoccupied chatting with regulars on his chair and at their tables... I had to get up and politely ask for the bill. I asked to pay by credit card, and he kindly told me that he only accepts cards for amounts over €10. I asked in the same tone if the information was posted at the entrance or at the checkout, and he replied: "Well, yes, it's a €10 minimum for all credit card payments…" so he didn't answer my question, and the display wasn't in order. He still accepted my credit card payment, having not anticipated any change since there was no display indicating this. I left with a bitter taste and slightly disappointed by this experience. Update to my comment 06/22/25: On the Legifrance website, it is clearly stated that the minimum payment accepted by credit card must be displayed. This display wasn't there in your establishment when I visited, so you can't impose this without complying with the regulations. It doesn't work à la carte the way you want it to. You mention bank fees. I was a merchant for three years and I experienced this situation. These fees should be negotiated with your banker to reduce them. FYI: Refusing to pay for a contactless payment of less than €10 will cause you to lose a certain number of customers... When I came, I asked for a long coffee, not a large coffee. So you charged me more for my coffee and served me something other than what I initially requested. At that point, the merchant must inform that they do not offer long coffee so that the customer can choose another product. Thank you.

23/02/2026: Very good daily special at a reasonable price, the central wood stove diffuses a pleasant warmth in the room, après-ski atmosphere planned for the evening service with accessories like in the mountains.

04/03/2026: We had a wonderful weekend at this guesthouse with my partner 🤍 The place is truly magnificent, full of charm and very peaceful. We immediately felt at ease. The hosts are warm and welcoming; it was a real pleasure to chat with them. And the food… absolutely delicious! Everything was excellent from start to finish. A fantastic discovery; we will definitely be back!

I tried the sausage with smashed potatoes and a red wine from the Grand crus selction and it was really a perfect choice, finishing the night with am experience of chocolate and wine. I highly recommend it. Nice place, good wines, perfect choice for wine lovers.

13/03/2026: Sorry, I had justified my rating, but the text didn't appear. Here it is: we chose your restaurant for its ambiance. However, the baeckeoffe served was very dry. The potatoes were mushy (except for the one on top, which was burnt) and dry, as was the meat; there wasn't a single drop of juice.

07/03/2026: Excellent food, a menu featuring typical Alsatian cuisine. It was truly delicious. The location is also worth the trip: it probably hasn't changed much in 130 years. Warm welcome. A very pleasant evening.

09/11/2025: A very nice little restaurant, a very warm welcome, excellent cuisine, generous portions of fresh produce, superb ratatouille, homemade fries and spaetzle, the owner is active, attentive, very smiling, friendly and dynamic despite the crowds, the chef is top-notch, well done, keep it up, I recommend it.

20/03/2026: Excellent food. The service was friendly, although communication with the servers was sometimes difficult. They didn't always understand, but they compensated with their unfailing availability and helpfulness.

19/03/2026: I had been very satisfied with this restaurant until now, but my last experience was disappointing. The waiter was particularly unfriendly and seemed to barely understand French. We felt that our presence annoyed him, especially when it came time to pay (there were four of us, and we paid separately). No friendliness, no smile, just the feeling that we were bothering him. It's a shame, because the place and the food had been quite good until now, but the quality of service is clearly declining. Let's hope it improves soon, because the customers deserve better. 05/03/2026: Excellent experience for a business trip, top-notch comfort with good bedding and shutters, good food. It felt like home, a beautiful town surrounded by hiking trails.
