18/05/2026: First time at Riva tonight! The all-you-can-eat hanger steak was excellent, served with sauces and paprika fries. The tapas were just as good... especially the homemade ones. Max gave us an impeccable welcome; he was smiling, pleasant, and available throughout the evening. Thank you to Max and the chef!

17/04/2026: The Cité de la Musique et de la Danse (City of Music and Dance) is Strasbourg's ideal venue for both experienced and novice dancers. The complex comprises three levels, each with rooms dedicated to different activities. It is located next to the Rivetoile cultural center and opposite the Malraux media library, overlooking the Rhône-Rhine Canal. The Parc de l'Étoile (Star Park) is on the other side, with access to the city's tram lines.

14/04/2026: It's an ideal venue for all kinds of musical events. It's clean and spacious. I went there by chance, as the event I had bought tickets for had been moved here, and I was delighted.

03/05/2026: The food was very good. There's no fixed menu. I ordered the Alsatian-style chicken breast, which came with green peas, mushroom sauce, morel mushrooms, and gnocchi. It was better than expected, just a little small in portion.

27/05/2026: The most pleasant terrace in town, quieter than others, as it's known almost exclusively to regulars. Very reasonable prices for excellent food. An unpretentious place, so it's worth a visit. The waiter is polite, nothing more... there was a time when waiters were much friendlier.

20/05/2026: I wanted to bring a friend who isn't French to introduce him to Alsatian specialties, and we both got quite sick because the service was already poor, but the food was awful. My friend ordered sauerkraut, which was a gross mess with chunks of fat, while I got a tiny amount of spaetzle that was completely oily and probably bought at the supermarket. As for the chicken, it was truly revolting, absolutely disgusting, inedible, and undercooked. The inside was just chicken drumsticks, not even properly seasoned. In short, I'm not usually picky, but I was really disappointed, especially considering the bill came to around €75. And for dessert, there was an overly sweet, mass-produced apple tart that the waitress ate with her hands; I saw it from my seat. You can't even ask a question. The waitress seemed exasperated, even though my friend knew nothing about French or Alsatian food. He just asked for a [unclear - possibly "order"]. She replied in an exasperated way. In any case, I was disappointed with the dish; it really wasn't worth the price. Honestly, don't go there; it's really not worth it. Even the toilets are tiny. I don't know about the rest of the menu, but we ordered sauerkraut and chicken spaetzle with cream sauce. To sum up, I think it's a shame that there are restaurants like this around the cathedral because they're real tourist traps, and there should be more oversight of businesses that set up shop around the cathedral to ensure quality. Being from Strasbourg, I didn't even know this restaurant existed, and out of curiosity, I wanted to try it. I'd been warned that it wasn't great, but I wanted to see for myself. And now, it's confirmed.

19/05/2026: The cordon bleu was very tough and practically devoid of cheese, the spaetzle were bland, and the vegetables were okay. It was very disappointing for the price, although the service and atmosphere were good. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it, as the food was truly inadequate.

18/05/2026: We enjoyed a daily special that was truly excellent. Everything is homemade, and the welcome and service were impeccable. They also have a lovely menu at reasonable prices. Highly recommended, and thank you to the whole team.

24/04/2026: I had already enjoyed pastries and viennoiseries from Maxime's several times, but this was my first time dining in for lunch. We ordered two salads (a Greek-style salad with marinated vegetables, feta, and chicken, and a pasta salad with avocado, salmon, and shrimp) and a cheesecake to top it all off. Our salads were generously portioned and delicious, as was the dessert. I would have appreciated a few pieces of bread to accompany the salad; I imagine that would be an extra charge? Whether you eat in or take away, Pâtisserie Maxime offers a variety of baked goods and pastries, as well as several savory options (hot and cold) that are sure to delight everyone!

21/04/2026: I can't leave a review of the products because, despite waiting more than five minutes in the shop, the saleswoman, busy with the ice cream tubs, came in but didn't bother to tell me to wait and instead attended to customers in the tea room. I deduced that I had become invisible... so I left! If this is a common occurrence, I hope the owner doesn't need to make a profit.
