Le Katiolo - Chambres D'hotes - Restaurant Africain

28/08/2025: August 2025 – From the outside, the place is very discreet... but once you step through the door, you feel like you've left the city behind and entered a warm and unique world. A welcoming smile and a friendly atmosphere.
On the right side, a lovely, well-stocked garden; on the left, the restaurant with a swimming pool in its center. Around it, there are not only tables and chairs, but also a four-poster bed, sun loungers, benches... in short, plenty of cozy corners to enjoy a pleasant moment.
The decor, the atmosphere, and the menu, of course, are reminiscent of the owner's home country: Ivory Coast. There were five of us. We started by tasting the house cocktails: original, fruity, delicious, with or without alcohol. We shared all the starters to discover everything, then tried the chicken mafé... a delight!
This restaurant/B&B was a wonderful surprise, where we had a wonderful time. I highly recommend it!

11/08/2024: Restaurant familial avec madame en cuisine et monsieur au service. Accueil convivial. Spécialités cordons bleus. Le traditionnel, des classiques (au munster par exemple), mais aussi une déclinaison de saisons très originales, entre autres dans un jeu autour des panures.
Nous étions 3 avec du coup 3 cordons bleus différents. C'était très bon et on s'est régalé. Maîtrise de la cuisson, des goûts présents. La carte des vins est réduite, mais est une très bonne sélection.

09/05/2024: Ah, a dining experience as memorable as eating sand in the desert! Avocados still trying to ripen, salmon that would have preferred to stay at sea, and rice that seems to have gone through a marathon rather than being properly cooked. Add to that a welcome as warm as an iceberg in Antarctica. An experience to forget faster than the speed at which they served this sushi. I give one star for effort, but that's not the only thing that was average.

La fraîcheur des produits alliée à la qualité de la sauce est un plus.

C'est dommage car j'aimais bien le midi me prendre de temps en temps un plat.
J'irai en face à la pizzeria.

Repas excellent et très grande proximité avec un hôtel de qualité situé à côté ainsi que les différents centres de formation.
J’y reviendrais très certainement et recommande vivement.

06/06/2024: I was initially looking for something cheap and greasy to satisfy a quick craving, but I happened to stumble across this place instead. To my surprise, it was anything but cheap and greasy. Quite the contrary, the food was incredibly fresh, both visually and in taste and at a reasonable price. The service was effective and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend this spot to anyone passing by and looking for a delicious taste of Turkey. I left very satisfied. Keep up the great work with the fresh food and friendly service. Merci beaucoup!

15/09/2024: Au terme d'un séjour en Alsace et entre amis, nous avons eu un immense plaisir à déguster choucroute, rognons, ravioles excellents et à déguster des vins recommandés par Michel.
Accueil remarquable, couple adorable qui se démène pour maintenir une cuisine traditionnelle de qualité dans une salle très agréable.
La soirée s'est poursuivie par une chaleureuse discussion avec Nadine et Michel sur leur beau parcours. Un grand merci à eux deux avec tous nos encouragements.

I ordered 2 slices of fried plantin banana and took away some were good but not all others were hard and not great...
Everyone will have their own opinion but for my part I don't think I would set foot there again...

02/09/2024: Incredibly cheap! We came back from a hike lasting several days and wanted to take a shower. Hotel is very clean. Interior "with patina" but very clean. Shower in the room, but in our room the toilet was in the hallway - you have to like it. No problem at all for us. Super nice service, great tarte flambée and local wine. Again and again! Oh yes, and the Chateau Neuf Windstein is within walking distance (a bit sweaty) and in great condition... Can you discover something...

01/08/2024: Nous avons diner un jeudi soir et c'était parfait.
Un super décor, avec du bois, des fleurs, décor très dépaysant dans un resto près de la gare. Il y a même une balancelle lorsque vous allez aux toilettes :-)
Peu d'attente pour le service. Nous avons dégusté une délicieuse salade avec de la Burrata en entrée. Puis des linguines avec une sauce à la crème au champignons. Les pâtes étaient cuites al dente, tout comme il faut. Il y avait peu de monde, donc l'ambiance était cosy et très agréable. Je recommande ce restaurant, surtout si vous êtes dans le quartier de la gare, ce restaurant a un truc en plus qui vaut vraiment qu'on s'y arrête pour déguster un plat.
22/04/2024: Accueil assez froid et forte odeur de cigarette dans le restaurant. La nappe était salle. Nous n’avons pas pu boire notre verre de pinot gris car il devait être ouvert depuis plusieurs jours et avait certainement tourné. Il n’était pas possible de prendre tous les plats proposés sur la carte. Le patron nous a proposé la suggestion du jour et n’a pas précisé que tous les plats n’étaient pas disponibles. Les produits sont surgelés et de mauvaise qualité, secs et les pâtes étaient trop cuites. Grosse déception, nous ne conseillons pas.
