19/02/2026: This morning I went to buy 10 croissants. Once I got home, I realized there were only 9 in the bags. I know it wasn't a deliberate mistake, but it's still annoying.

02/05/2026: We tried to contact them by phone, but there was no way to ask them a question live before booking. So... we didn't book. They might say we should have gone online to get answers, but if no human being is available, it doesn't bode well.

06/02/2026: If I could give zero stars, I would! The hotel and restaurant are mediocre!!! The owner and his mother are awful, not to mention unpleasant! When I arrived for a room, the receptionist, who is also the owner, was so drunk he didn't know what he was doing! He couldn't even stand up! And as for the food, even though I'm not picky, I can tell you it was really bad. The only positive point is the view of the castle...

05/06/2026: The saleswoman made a snide remark because I couldn't find the words to answer the question I wanted to ask her. I'm on medication because I had an operation. She's always unpleasant, but this was the last straw. Otherwise, the rest of the staff and the owner were always pleasant.

28/03/2026: I gave it one star because I can't give less!!! Avoid at all costs... the tables are disgusting and overflowing with trash, just like the bins... we have to clear it ourselves if we want to eat at a corner of the table... And the waffle was raw :/ .. I went to see the young woman who clearly told me to go somewhere else... a disgrace considering the price of the waffle...!! I will never go back, that's for sure, and I will tell everyone I know so they don't have to eat in such a filthy place... a stomach ache and an encounter with incompetent people. Good luck to those who try it next time. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

29/01/2026: Hello, Today (January 28, 2026 at 12:48 PM) I was putting my things down to sit down and then order some waffles. Before I could do anything, the woman with long red hair started speaking rudely to me, saying I couldn't sit down if I didn't order, which makes sense, but I didn't even have time to sit down or go to the register and order. She is extremely rude and unhappy in her job. I advise you to look for employees with more respect and motivation. I am also a student, I do pretty much the same job, and I never disrespect customers, even if I haven't had a good day.

22/04/2026: Indian cuisine: was good and plentiful

20/02/2026: Extremely dated Indian restaurant near the campsite. It hasn't been updated in 30 years. The curtains also create a depressing atmosphere. Poor value for money. The husband tries his best to be friendly while his wife works herself to death in a small kitchen.

03/07/2025: A terrace that's a victim of its own success and its location in the heart of the tourist city. Always full (a testament to its quality), you don't have to wait long for a table to become available. The drinks menu is varied, and the appetizer platter is just right in terms of quantity but superior in terms of quality. A great place to stop for a break during your city tour.

20/06/2025: Beautifully situated in the shade under the trees. The tarte flambée is delicious and reasonably priced.

29/01/2026: They called me from the wrong number and then dared to criticize me behind the counter next to their colleagues. All they had to do was do their job properly and give the correct number. Very disappointed.

15/05/2026: It has a magnificent terrace for drinks or a meal. The first room isn't great, the decor is very old and not very well maintained, which is a shame. The second room is much more pleasant. Well, the ambiance isn't everything. There were two people serving, the gentleman very nonchalant and the lady the opposite. She was friendly but sometimes made rather peculiar remarks, though always polite. The food, however, was very good. The meat was cooked perfectly. And the profiteroles for dessert were simply wonderful.

13/05/2026: Convenient to find this small wine cellar near the tourist sites. Quick and efficient service. We enjoyed the food, especially the very good sauerkraut.

02/07/2026: “It’s not the fall that matters, it’s the landing.” La Haine (1995) – Mathieu Kassovitz. That’s how to describe the atmosphere in one quote. I arrived to celebrate and lose myself with my friends. From the moment we walked in, I was struck by how awful the music was. Just unfamiliar sounds that created absolutely no atmosphere. We had to wait about an hour and a half for anything to get even remotely lively. The DJ, for his part, was clearly a high school intern, meaning he was deaf and, more importantly, blind, and completely oblivious to the lack of atmosphere. The drops, meanwhile, reminded me of my lessons on the 1929 economic crisis. Just when we were starting to get into the groove, the music shifted to styles more diametrically opposed to those of the Cold War, or even World War II. The football match we were watching on one of the TVs was far more entertaining than the dancing. We should also mention the bouncers who wouldn't let us go outside for fresh air and, more importantly, to give our eardrums a break. The sound system never changed: it sounded like a fire alarm. In short, the place has all the potential to become an excellent party venue (decent speakers with good bass, interesting decor, good lighting, etc.), but it's not being used to its full potential. And that's a real shame…

02/07/2026: My first visit to La Salamandre, we were warmly welcomed by Momo and Walid, the place is nice and the music is good! I recommend it, long live Strasbourg!

14/07/2026: The service was terrible. I was there on Saturday, July 11, 2026. The waitress was slow. I ordered a soya beignets appetizer and an eru cassava couscous. The appetizer arrived 40 minutes after I asked when it would be ready. For five minutes, I noticed the beignets hadn't arrived. I asked the waitress, "Where are my beignets?" She replied, "Oh, there aren't any beignets. The cook said there aren't any beignets." The service was awful. Sometimes I can go months without going, but since I don't live in Strasbourg, it's always the same. You'll never see me in your restaurant again. On top of that, the person next to me left because they'd been waiting for beignets for an hour. The worst part is, they take orders knowing they don't have certain items. I gave you one star. because we can't publish without giving at least one star 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

11/07/2026: This is the third time I've ordered and for the third time I'm disappointed because I received a small fish and not enough garnish. Try to improve this aspect; even if the fish is small, at least focus on the side dish.

08/07/2026: I find it appalling to pay €8.50 for a measly salmon club sandwich that's supposedly packed full, only to find you get more salad than salmon in the thing, plus an extra two slices of salmon. The cashier wasn't particularly friendly and wouldn't let us order elsewhere, but she readily accepts other customers who order from elsewhere to eat at her place, so avoid this place at all costs!!

08/07/2026: Very disappointed with the service. I ordered a sandwich, and my friend wanted to order elsewhere, but if she ordered elsewhere, she wasn't allowed to eat her sandwich there either. So she had to order the same as me and ended up with a club sandwich with a tiny piece of salmon and two or three lettuce leaves. What a disappointment at €8.50! 😨 Then, other customers arrived with an order of waffles and ate them there. That's not right!

17/06/2026: This restaurant is absolutely disgusting. I went Monday night, and for the price you pay, it's truly awful. The drinks aren't unlimited anymore, which is ridiculous. Their wine is terrible, like the cheap stuff you get for €2. The food is also poor quality. It deserves zero stars.

16/05/2026: I'm here and it's a disaster. The restaurant staff are always unpleasant and the food is awful: not a single hot dish is offered. The prices are exorbitant, especially on weekends. I strongly advise against going there. There's no choice of food or meat, only skins.
