29/01/2026: Exceptional cuisine and impeccable service. The two staff members complement each other perfectly. The meal was delicious, and they were accommodating by offering alternative dishes. Very affordable, especially considering the quality of the food. The setting is beautiful and relaxing. The dining room was very quiet. I would gladly return if I'm ever in the area again.

23/02/2026: Very disappointed! We came once before, and it was great: fine and refined cuisine. But this Sunday, the dishes had a very heavy, overpowering sauce that was not good at all. We also had a very large portion of sweetbreads, which was sickening because it was too big, again with a heavy, thick, and very strong sauce. For dessert, we ordered sorbet, and we were brought three scoops with nothing else! Not a mint leaf, no small fruit for garnish, not a small biscuit, nothing for €15! What a disappointment for €180! We will not be returning to Karélian.

08/03/2026: The setting was rustic, and the staff was eccentric: an elderly lady who grimaced when she moved, undoubtedly due to hip pain; our waiter who struggled to uncork the wine bottle because of trembling and ended up throwing the capsule and cork onto the table; and the latest, incredibly clumsy recruit who dropped almost everything he touched. We thought we were on a hidden camera show, but surprise, it wasn't—it was all real. As for the dishes, which arrived haphazardly, the portions were generous but not very refined. A good evening for a laugh, but not one we'd repeat.

08/03/2026: Discovered this restaurant yesterday, a true gem in Marseille. Everything was absolutely perfect, from the service to the food. The cuisine is refined, with remarkable flavors that make all the difference. The creative chef was able to accommodate some dietary restrictions. A wonderful discovery! A huge thank you to the owners for their kindness and generosity, which greatly contributed to this truly lovely experience.

Everything is refined (tableware, presentation of the dishes). The products are organic, local, and seasonal. It was a truly wonderful discovery, and we will gladly return.

16/01/2026: This time our experience was disappointing. We ordered the €22 set menu. The starter was okay, but nothing special. The meat in the main course was incredibly tough; for a beef and chicken stew, I couldn't eat it. The side dish was good, but insufficient. And the dessert, a chocolate and pear tart, was definitely defrosted. I mentioned this when paying, and the owner acknowledged it, but offered no compensation. A shame.

17/03/2026: ⭐️⭐️ A Restaurant Racist Against Asians ⭐️⭐️ I visited as a walk-in on a weekday at 5 PM, and perhaps due to the time, there were plenty of seats available. Many of the tables outside with a good view were empty, so I asked if I could sit there, but they said no because those were reserved. I said okay and sat at the table inside that they showed me, but they seated all the Westerners who came in after us right there lol. At first, I wondered if those people had reservations, but after listening to the conversation of another group that came in later, I realized they were also walk-ins just like us. When they said they wanted to sit there, the server guided them in lol. As a result, the outdoor tables were completely filled with Westerners, and all Asians like us were seated inside ^^ (Even though there were plenty of seats~) Seriously, if you want to pay a lot of money as an Asian and have your travel mood ruined, this is a place I would recommend!!!
