With my experience traveling the world, I can say that one thing that often reveals a bad restaurant is the state of the restrooms, and in the case of Windhof, the attention to this detail was extraordinary. Finally, the menu enhances the entire restaurant experience, followed by exceptionally high-quality table service. 🙌🙌

We're always warmly welcomed, the room is very clean, the mattress is good, the restaurant is excellent, the bar too, and the breakfast is superb. 17/05/2026: Great experience... magnificent room with a superb view, very beautiful and well-equipped spa, very good dinner as well as attentive service... only slight downside is that breakfast is not up to the standard of the rest... missing eggs, bacon, raw vegetables etc.

We were upgraded to a new room and were pleasantly surprised to find the "Nature Room" with its bay window overlooking a grove and its enormous size. We also loved the restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious meal. The aquatic area is like everything else: impeccable.

16/05/2026: Looking for quality, homemade Alsatian cuisine? This is an address to remember and bookmark! The vol-au-vent, a gold medal winner in 2019, is excellent, as are all the other dishes (4 adults, 4 different dishes). The weather wasn't great for enjoying the lovely shaded terrace, but that just means we'll be back! The tarte flambée, which we tried as a starter, was also delicious! Warm and welcoming service. Be sure to book ahead, good places fill up quickly 🤭🤗

09/05/2026: "La Dîme" is an Alsatian restaurant where we always enjoy eating, either as a couple or with friends. On this market day in Obernai, we were surrounded by young, friendly, and very attentive male servers who happily addressed us in German. I was particularly struck by how aesthetically pleasing the lunch menu was presented... We'd gladly return! We requested a window seat, which was provided. This allowed us to converse comfortably and easily in the larger dining room...

09/04/2026: I frequent this restaurant regularly and have always been satisfied, which makes my recent experience all the more disappointing. On my last visit, I ordered a seafood platter with lobster. To my great surprise, the half-lobster that was served was extremely small, barely the size of a shrimp. For an establishment of this caliber, and considering the price, this is hard to understand. I should point out that the rest of the meal was fine, but this particular point clearly falls short of my expectations and the image I had of this restaurant.
