24/09/2024: Big disappointment. We had two mussels marinières, and for a restaurant supposed to specialize in mussels, it was really disappointing. We even do better at home! The entrecôte, although cooked correctly, arrived cold, and the Roquefort sauce was lumpy and full of oil, quite strange. As for the fries, they were frozen and tasteless, not worthy of a restaurant. Another negative point, the knife was dirty... The white wine was not up to par either. As for desserts, we had an acceptable red fruit millefeuille, but the apricot and almond waffles were very far from the photos: heavy, stuffy, and not very good. In the end, €88 for a mediocre meal that we could have easily made ourselves. Damage !

22/09/2024: Very pleasant discovery of this “Mussels / fries” restaurant. Of course, there are other dishes on the menu... But that's what made us stop. Everything was perfect... Fleshy mussels, crispy fries and succulent dessert. We will return!

26/09/2024: A real brasserie like you don't see many anymore. Excellent food, beautiful wines at a fair price. Service worthy of a film with Yves Montand. A very good evening.

20/09/2024: Very poor food. I tried the Ficelle Picarde which was tasteless and i didn't like it at all. I left half of it. We also tried their burger which was suggested as their unmissable and it was very poor. Poor beer selection for a brasserie also. Service was slow and we waited a long time to order and to pay.

30/09/2024: Accueil chaleureux malgré l'heure tardive (13h30 le dernier dimanche de la saison..), un jeune patron dynamique et avenant, une équipe agréable. Les moules sont excellentes : à la crème de Pineau gouteuses bien que le parfum puisse être un peu plus fort, Chorizo Poivron Piment Espelette : un régal avec une très bonne balance de goûts, les meilleures depuis longtemps.. Un vin rouge oléronnais, léger mais parfumé, agréable en bouche et qui ne donne pas d'aigreurs.. Les desserts sont bons mais plus rustiques surtout au niveau de la présentation : la galette charentaise au Lemon curd : bel assemblage de goûts mais dommage que la galette soit broyée façon crumble. Une adresse à retenir : j'y retournerais très volontiers !!

18/09/2024: Highlight of our trip to Villefranche thanks to Leslie, the setting & the wine on offer. At first we thought this place was an antique shop, then a wine bar across from an antique shop, then a wine bar that's part of a fantastic wine cellar with a cinema & an amazing hostess. We stopped by on 3 occasions & each was better than the 1 before. If ever there was a hidden gem then this is it - go there

07/07/2025: Disappointing experience. The room is not maintained, the furniture is old, the bed base is falling apart, the bathroom is in its original state, the room has a nice sea view but the windows aren't cleaned! In short, I expected a better standard by booking a single night in a hotel for over €100. It's very noisy, the walls are thin, and we can hear our neighbors' every move. It wasn't relaxing at all, even though that's what we were looking for. Despite this, the staff is very friendly, the nearby parking is very useful, and the proximity to the beach is also very convenient.

06/07/2025: Hotel ideally located by the sea. We had a room with a sea view, nothing more pleasant. The welcome from the two young women we saw was very friendly and full of smiles. Very pleasant. Regarding the room for two, very spacious with plenty of storage. One downside (which only gives it 4 stars), the bedding lacks firmness and the pillows flatten too quickly. A small box of tissues would have been welcome but it's just personal and already seen in other less starred establishments. A small suggestion of sorts. The big strong point remains the insulation. No noise, no disturbance even though the hotel was full.

21/09/2024: Een prima restaurant in Brehec, vlak bij het haventje. Het eten is verrukkelijk (mosselen en Fish and Chips), en de bediening is prima. Vlot, vrolijk en snel. Hier kom ik zo wie zo een keer terug.

21/09/2024: Nous avons été bien accueilli avec notre chien, pour commencer nous avons pris des huîtres mon ami et moi, lorsque les assiettes sont arrivées je n’ai pas tout de suite compris que ce que je voyais flotter au milieu de la vinaigrette s’avérait être 2 grosses mouches et qu’elle ne fut pas ma stupeur lorsque dans la vinaigrette de mon ami c’était pareil !!!!!, je ne comprends pas comment s’est possible, ni le cuisinier, ni la serveuse ont remarqué. Dommage car cela nous a coupé l’appétit.

31/08/2024: Excellent meal. A downside on the service, not all but especially one waitress in particular whom we found quite haughty bordering on nonchalance, we have not been treated like this in much better restaurants, the Jules Verne at the Eiffel Tower For example. Hoping it was just an impression…. We will still come back because the meal was good and the rest of the servers were very professional.

17/12/2024: It had been 3 or 4 years since I had not returned but this time it was definitely the last. The staff is the only positive thing about my stay. Nothing to say, the team does its best and with a smile. - Zero point cooking: beyond the fact that my sea bass fillet must have weighed 40g to break, it was immersed in frying and was as tough as the dry ones found on the beaches in summer! - Taste: tasteless! So-called candied lemon sauce, I'm still looking for it, unless it was water with a few herbs? - Presentation of the dishes: it reminded me of my years in the canteen in primary school but at least my parents didn't pay €24 for the menu! In short, if you are looking for a restaurant in Chartres at midday, go to the city center, you will have real cuisine with starter + main course menus for €22 and you will work not with chains but with real artisans.

23/11/2025: We had a wonderful time. The food was excellent, the welcome was warm, and everything was served by Juliette, who is absolutely lovely and very professional. Thank you again for this wonderful experience! We'll definitely be back.

08/12/2024: We came for dinner with family, we were very well received at the reception and we ate very well, the waiters were attentive to us, smiling and very friendly. We had a great time which made us want to return to come back. Thanks again to our server Mouloud who allowed us to have a good evening with family. A unanimous 10/10, the children also enjoyed it.

THE FAMOUS MANAGER DAVID IS NOT TALKING ABOUT AN INCAPABLE MAN LIKE HIM TO LOOK CAREFULLY AT THOSE YOU TOUCH AND THE STATE OF THE PLATES BEFORE EATING! DISGUSTING! RUN AWAY
