Of course, Bordeaux has no shortage of places like this, but what makes the difference here is above all the quality of the welcome. The team is friendly, professional, and always available. You feel at ease from the moment you arrive, in a convivial and relaxed atmosphere. A simple, efficient, and welcoming place that I readily recommend for a coffee break or a relaxing moment in good company.

08/06/2026: Up until now, I was quite happy with Le Tricolore, but today there are three reasons to be dissatisfied. First: I ordered a goat cheese panini a while ago. It was clearly stated that the goat cheese panini was a ham and goat cheese panini, but I took it to go and didn't check. There was literally nothing but goat cheese in the bread. Second: with the set menu, if you're not careful, you lose €1 because with the drink it's supposed to be a good deal, but the calculation was wrong. I had to ask for it back, and I don't usually like to complain. Third: in the salad I chose (ham and cheese), this time I only got ham, no cheese. Perhaps you should pay more attention to the ingredients on your menu. The €1 difference would have been acceptable if it weren't for the other two issues. The ingredients themselves aren't bad quality. If I'd been there, I would have complained immediately.

03/08/2026: Hello, we went to this bar and I was with someone. I ordered a coffee and a hot chocolate which were really bad, and I even sent it back. Same thing.

11/07/2026: Every time I've been to this restaurant/bar, I've always received a warm welcome. The staff are friendly and helpful. They have a comfortable lounge area. So, I have nothing but praise for the whole team.

15/08/2026: Lovely location, and nice wines but the service wasn't that great. When you see one of the waiter filling up her own flask of water with the cold caraffe from the fridge and they serve you a fresh caraffe but not cold, you start to worry about the service and also everywhere we have been in Bordeaux they show you the bottle of wine you have by the glass and here they do not. I felt little bit let down compared with the standards in Bordeaux.

09/08/2026: Avoid this place if you're visiting Arcachon. The staff is friendly, but the food (the most important thing for a restaurant) is really poor quality. The desserts are clearly mass-produced and sugary. The ice cream, for example, is just syrup. And in the small mixed glass cups, there's always water at the bottom… It's anecdotal in itself, but it still shows the restaurant's quality. Because if even the basics aren't there, what can you expect? I'm talking about the pepper, which is served in a plastic container (a pepper mill, is that a luxury??), and which looks more like sand than real pepper 🤷. As for the main courses, the fries were really hard, almost frozen (although they were hot). Given the simplicity of the dish, the burgers were simply awful. Not only are they tiny, but there's absolutely no effort put into the presentation. I didn't try the buffet, but from what I saw, it's as basic as it gets, with very little choice, unless you like sliced ​​Cochonou sausage. I really don't understand how there can be so many positive reviews, apart from those posted by local regulars (I get the impression that they make up the majority of the clientele). For a few days in Arcachon, there are so many better options. I deeply regret ever going there.

A relaxed yet refined atmosphere, where you feel valued. A big thank you. In my humble opinion, it's rare to find a place in Bordeaux that combines these aspects, not just a purely commercial one.

22/07/2026: I found it somewhat by chance and luck. It's the kind of place I like: a casual atmosphere with very friendly regulars, everyone very friendly and welcoming. The food was very good, from entrees to dessert (the mussels are fantastic), and the owner was very kind and cheerful. The background music was also very pleasant and at the right volume. If you see any negative reviews, they're from people who don't understand good manners and think they're right at home in a restaurant (we had an example of this just yesterday). 27/07/2026: We got married last Saturday at the River House. It was a true feast for the eyes and the taste buds. All our guests congratulated us on our beautiful wedding. We were looked after and then served by top-notch waiters and waitresses. Everything was absolutely perfect! It's a 10/10. Thank you for making our dream a reality. We'll see you again very soon.

26/07/2026: We went there for the ambiance, not for the food or service. The staff was friendly but (very) disorganized. The food was more than average, bordering on mediocre: meager, avoid it! The two tables next to us hadn't touched their plates either. The presentation was passable. In short, nothing special!

12/07/2026: We had a very professional and discreet young waiter. Thank you to this young man. However, I suppose it was the owner, and we didn't find her very pleasant. She took liberties, making jokes, some inappropriate, to customers of all ages. We won't be going back. The one in St. Médard-en-Jalles or the one in Bordeaux opposite Louis Vuitton is ten times better. Really disappointed.
