04/09/2026: I just found my review from a year ago... 5 stars. I'm changing it to 2. I ordered after a 20-minute drive, only to find out that my entire order wasn't there due to a supply issue (which I can understand), but on top of that, it wasn't ready and there was at least a 25-minute wait... So when you work and you've planned your delivery time perfectly, well, that's just not possible. I canceled... no compensation whatsoever, even though I'm a regular customer! I'm leaving 3 stars instead of 1 because other times have gone well, but this time I'm very unhappy.

20/08/2026: I doubted an app could accurately choose a restaurant. I used an app to count the calories in the photo of my dish. These gyozas had enough protein for my day and were tasty. The service is quick in this simple setting.

30/09/2026: I was frankly very disappointed by this Matsuri. The sushi was dried out, as were the salads. I was really hungry, so I ate anyway, otherwise I would have simply left. Some of the sushi, especially the ones with toasted rice, were so dry they were practically inedible. It really seemed like some of the plates had been spinning on the conveyor belt for hours. Another rather surprising thing: no non-alcoholic beer on the menu. For people who don't drink alcohol, it would be nice to offer at least one option. I ordered about nine plates of different colors and a Coke Zero. Total: about €45. When it came time to pay, the waiter did the calculation on his own, but I didn't receive a receipt or a detailed bill. Even when he gave me my change, I still didn't get any proof of purchase. I find that really strange and unprofessional. In addition, there was water in the middle of the room; apparently, something was leaking under a refrigerator. Between that, the dried-out sushi, and some plates that looked like they'd been circulating for ages, the whole experience was really bad. I know Matsuri well and have eaten at several of their restaurants in Paris. I generally like this chain, but the one in Neuilly-sur-Seine is, in my opinion, clearly the one where I had the worst experience. It's a shame, because I really expected better from Matsuri.

28/08/2026: I got food poisoning and I told the owner the salmon wasn't fresh; it had a smell. I ate there yesterday, and to top it off, I ran into Vla Les Arrête 😡 She gave me a doggy bag, but I swear, when I opened it, the smell was nauseating. There's nothing good there. I don't understand why there are so many positive reviews. Haven't they tried other places or what?

14/09/2026: ⭐☆☆☆☆ I strongly advise against using this service. An absolutely disastrous experience. It takes a truly remarkable level of incompetence to turn an Uber Eats order placed 350 meters from the restaurant into such a mess. The order was over €80. The result: mixed-up orders, error after error, missing items, and cold food. And of course, instead of the problem being resolved quickly, it turned into a 2.5-hour ordeal. But the worst part for me was the completely absurd way they handled customer information. They apparently stuck my phone number on a sticky note for another order, which was itself affected by an error. As a result, another customer ended up with my number and called me directly. How can they possibly manage orders like this? I calmly placed an order for over €80 and ended up receiving a call from a stranger because the restaurant had mixed up the order information. At no point should I have to wonder if my contact details were properly protected. And then I had to wait another 2.5 hours to try and resolve the issue. They did answer, yes. But it was an interminable, laborious, and frankly disappointing response that didn't make up for the two and a half hours of chaos. And during all this time, we're talking about an order where €8 equals two kebabs. At that price, I expect, at the very least, that the items I paid for were present, that the food arrived correctly, and that the order was identifiable without relying on guesswork with sticky notes. Over €80 spent. 350 meters away. 2.5 hours of problems. Cold food. Missing items. Order swapped. And my number given to another customer due to a management error. It's hard to imagine anything worse. Mistakes happen. But such a string of errors, followed by such a long and disappointing wait, is no longer just a simple mistake: it's a service that clearly doesn't live up to the price. I just wanted to eat sushi. I ended up paying over €80 for an evening of frustration and a privacy issue that could have easily been avoided with a little more care. Sushi Avenue: if you're looking for a place where your order, your patience, and potentially your personal information all go through the wringer, you've found it. As for me, never again. 🍣💀

20/08/2026: There's no denying it, every time we stay a few days in Saint-Malo, we have to go to Tanpopo. The menu changes daily depending on what's available at the market and the choices of this couple who run the restaurant. That's why there's always a pleasant surprise. It's absolutely delicious. €25 for a Bento with dessert is, for a truly authentic Japanese restaurant, more than reasonable. Well, see you very soon. We went back to Tanpopo again. The excellence is still there, with the same delight in a delicious meal. The price hasn't changed and remains very reasonable for such high quality. Thank you, we'll be back again and again. The Loiseau Family Well, here we are in February 2023, and we're back. An amazing value for money for a Bento at €28 all-inclusive, plus a ramen soup and a two-chocolate dessert. Gault & Millau awards this a chef's table. Magnificent, with very friendly service and a Japanese cook whose kindness and skill are truly touching. See you soon! And here we are again for lunch, with the Bento box as always a delightful surprise. Well, no suspense here, we had another wonderful meal. A marvelous establishment.

02/09/2026: This isn't my first time here; it's actually my favorite restaurant in Fresnes. The food is excellent, the service is fast, and the staff is very friendly. There's a wide selection of dishes and menus, which means you can enjoy a delicious meal without breaking the bank. I recommend it 1000%!

26/08/2026: Excellent, lots of choices with a soup, a coleslaw, and a bowl of rice included with each meal. We usually had enough to eat by the end. Very pleasant servers.

15/08/2026: A wonderful discovery during a stroll through Clermont-Ferrand! You're sure to find something you love among the various menus offered. The dishes are entirely homemade, and for me, they were the best ravioli I've ever had. The service was impeccable, and the food was delicious: a place I highly recommend!

08/07/2026: To be honest, this is an authentic Japanese restaurant. However, I was disappointed on several points. First, there was no clear sign to distinguish vegetarian dishes from non-vegetarian ones. Second, the prices were excessively high. Only 24 euros for a dish that contains no meat and isn't particularly impressive. Third, the yam was tasteless. It added no value whatsoever. And finally, the portions were ridiculously small. An appetizer with eggplant, or even the main course itself, was far too small. Nothing like the usual Japanese portion sizes. Especially since the dessert wasn't very appealing... Nevertheless, we received a very warm welcome. The staff is Japanese. It's a place to eat cold food. I don't think I would recommend this place. It's well located, but I think that at that price, you should leave with a full stomach and a mouthful of flavor. Even if the welcome is good, unfortunately that's not everything.

03/07/2026: A very solid spot for soba just a short walk from Paris’s Japanese quarter. The noodles weren’t quite outstanding on my visit—they were slightly overcooked and lacked some of the firm texture I look for in good soba—but they still made for a very satisfying ten zaru soba, especially on a warm summer’s day. Be sure to ask for the sobayu (the water used to cook the noodles) at the end of your meal and mix it with the remaining dipping sauce. It’s a traditional way to finish a soba meal, creating a light, comforting broth that’s as enjoyable as the noodles themselves. Add to that the pleasant interior and attentive service, and it’s an easy place to recommend.
