My grandfather lived through World War II, I lived through The Boomerang; I still wonder which is worse. Run at least 50 km away!

01/12/2025: A beautiful place, tastefully decorated; it feels like traveling. Excellent meals, always with plenty of garnish, varied but not excessive, which is part of the charm of the restaurant. Generous portions, attentive service. I highly recommend it.

27/11/2024: First time and definitely not the last. The service is fast, the dishes are copious and succulent (I took the beef bourguignon plate and the roasted cauliflower (to share given the size!)). The meat was tender and juicy and the flavor of the herbs and spices with the mustard was perfectly balanced. The pita bread, hot, fresh and with that yeasty taste served as desired, also very successful. The self-service sauces are also very good. In short, excellent cuisine despite the prices.

13/03/2026: This pan bagnat has nothing to do with the original pan bagnat from Nice. The ingredients aren't right, so I'm disappointed.

11/02/2026: We wanted to order from their takeaway counters outside just before they closed. The employee came out to inform us that they were actually already closing, but was super friendly and gave us a little more time. The food was delicious. 10/10 and a very, very nice employee :) It's lovely to see friendly people smiling.

24/02/2026: The management has changed, but the quality remains the same. The background music might be a little too loud? Recommended.

22/02/2026: Last night was a disappointment. From the moment we arrived, the waiter was in a rush to answer the phone to fill his evening instead of taking the time to seat us properly. We were expecting an explosion of flavors, which we didn't really get. Furthermore, the stifling heat in the adjoining room, which had the sole advantage of being tastefully decorated, spoiled the experience. The only positive point was the young waitress, who was very friendly and professional. What a shame.

04/02/2026: On a business trip, we had dinner as a team at this restaurant, which I highly recommend. The manager single-handedly handled both the kitchen and the service; it was perfect. A truly outstanding person!

05/03/2026: A warm welcome, a lovely view, and a very, very good meal at a reasonable price. We also appreciated the table layout (we weren't crammed in with other people... important to us 😉). We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back!

24/03/2026: What bad publicity it is to drive around in a Djurdjura van, speeding like a maniac on the road, honking the horn! Indeed, having taken the last exit of the roundabout, my positioning on the left was perfectly logical. However, overtaking against traffic by crossing the solid white line, I doubt that's permitted under the highway code.

16/02/2026: To the right of the church at the top of the main square, you'll find the Auberge des Glycines. The welcome, the establishment, and the staff were all very pleasant. Our room was quite spacious and overlooked the patio. The king-size bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows. Perhaps a rug at the foot of the bed on each side would have been a nice addition. The bathroom was large, with a walk-in shower 🚿, and there were no complaints. Breakfast was quite comprehensive and served in the restaurant. We also had dinner at the restaurant. The food was very good and generous, to the point that we had trouble finishing our main courses and ended up ordering dessert to share. Nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed the simple dishes, perfectly executed with quality ingredients that were full of flavor! 🫶 This establishment accepts your pet 🐕 and offers to store your luggage after you check out, allowing you to enjoy the island one last time. We will gladly return if the opportunity arises again.

31/01/2026: Passing through Chalon for the day with my daughter, we stumbled upon this place and were immediately welcomed. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the service was efficient. While the menu was small, that's what made everything so perfect. So many flavors, and the quality and quantity were just right. A place to try and return to. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
