30/08/2026: A lovely evening at the Auberge de la Croix de Fer! The place is magnificent, the welcome warm, the truffade delicious, and the staff very friendly! We'll be back!

30/08/2026: My comment concerns the takeaway food: We ordered truffades to take away directly online from the inn's website. The dishes were hot, delicious, and very reasonably priced.

27/08/2026: If you are in Clermont-Ferrand then you have to try the "La véritable truffade d’Auvergne" at this place!!! A local specialty that was incredible.

06/08/2026: The food was excellent, absolutely delicious. The drinks were equally impressive. However, the service was a bit cold at times. And the noise... a group was playing, making it impossible to hear each other, almost unbearable. We didn't even have dessert there.

07/08/2026: A romantic dinner at L’Oursin restaurant. Accustomed to Michelin-starred meals in generally enchanting settings, each with its own distinct identity (often dependent on the chefs), the real strength of this place is clearly its location: the breathtaking view, the harmonious blend of colors between the building, the terrace, the sea, the furniture, the stonework—everything merges incredibly well, like a ship clinging to a rock. You have to appreciate the style, a mix of futuristic and 70s. But we loved it! We enjoyed an aperitif on the deck of a ship, as if on a cruise, served by waiters in sailor uniforms: navy blue Bermuda shorts and white polo shirts! The dinner (set menu) was superb, with special mention for the mussels, langoustines, and eggplant. The experience built to a crescendo... The eggplant was a real highlight! I'm still dreaming about it. Obviously, the products are 100% local, seasonal, and of course, caught by the fishermen of Sanary harbor. The service in the dining room is pleasant. Special mention to our waiter who guided us in choosing the wine, but where is the sommelier? Despite its upscale nature, the restaurant's atmosphere is very convivial. Someone circulates from table to table to check the ambiance (unfortunately, without introducing themselves), which contributes to the feeling of being comfortable and enjoying a pleasant moment with the ever-breathtaking view! Areas for improvement: 1- The tableware. A SERAX/Ottolenghi collaboration? Seriously? Aren't there talented local artisans who deserve to be showcased? 2- There's no small counter at the bottom of the stairs to wait before being shown to your table or onto the terrace for a drink. If you're not staying at the hotel, as we were, you're not quite sure where to go upon arrival. Thank you to the whole team for this top-notch culinary experience and congratulations on the work in the kitchen, absolutely incredible with these products on our end.

22/07/2026: Excellent restaurant! We had lunch there as a party of four. The food was delicious, the staff very welcoming, and the service quite fast. Reservations are recommended as the restaurant is popular. The real bonus is the shaded terrace. In short, I highly recommend this place!
