06/08/2026: The young waitresses were friendly, but the person who took over didn't even say goodbye to the previous staff or to us. The meal was a disaster in terms of taste: bland from start to finish. The goat cheese and tomato terrine was tasteless and diluted, the paupiette was overcooked with a sauce worse than school cafeteria food, the vegetable gratin was an overcooked, boiled flan, the tarte tatin was a joke, the burger was fast food style, and the fries were frozen. Only the jams and the fromage blanc were worth anything. Overall, I cook better myself than what we were served... For the same price, I've eaten ten times better, much better cooked and fresher food in Sainte-Catherine-du-Fraisse or Saint-Didier-sur-Doulon. I do not recommend this place; it's low-quality and unwelcoming to those unfamiliar with it.

27/07/2026: A beautifully decorated room, adjoining the bar, welcomes us, staffed by a caring and efficient team. The set lunch menu, offering a full menu, and the daily specials will satisfy even the heartiest appetites. Everything is clearly displayed here: chalkboards on the walls and menus on the tables. The selection is extensive and the prices very reasonable. The generous dishes are carefully prepared and homemade, as are some of the desserts; the cheese platter is fabulous, accompanied by homemade jellies and jams (the chef makes excellent fruit and quince pastes). There is a very pleasant and spacious private terrace under a marquee, perfect for sunny days (the place is a little paradise for couples and groups). Parking is available nearby in this charming, peaceful village.

27/08/2026: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Maison de la Monne. The area is beautiful, the hosts very welcoming, and the rooms spacious and comfortable. A special mention goes to the Japanese chicken kaarage curry, which we didn't expect to find on the dinner menu: delicious! Thank you again for your hospitality, and perhaps we'll see you again sometime!

21/08/2026: We came as a group of 11 with a dog on the GR30 to La Maison de la Monne and we couldn't have received a warmer welcome! The welcome is so friendly, everyone is so welcoming, and there's a really convivial atmosphere. The rooms are clean, the service is impeccable and flexible, and the food is homemade! I highly recommend stopping by La Maison de la Monne, whether for a drink or an overnight stay on the GR30. Thanks again for this wonderful time at La Maison de la Monne!

10/08/2026: This fast-food place is a joke. We selected table service and were called to the counter. When our order arrived, there were no sauces or napkins. Dessert was delayed, and when I went to get it from the counter, Juliette asked me to wait while she took another order. Since the sandwiches from that order hadn't arrived, she waited and laughed with her colleague. So I asked for my ice cream again. She made it with a sigh. I think Juliette doesn't understand her job, which is to serve customers.

07/08/2026: Friday, August 7th, 6:30 PM, the inside is so dirty, I've never seen anything like it. There are no signs on the doors indicating that dogs are not allowed.

05/08/2026: I recently discovered this restaurant and it was a very pleasant surprise. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, whose friendliness and smile immediately put us at ease. The dishes were delicious, carefully prepared, and full of flavor. The decor is elegant and creates a very pleasant atmosphere. Finally, and importantly, the restrooms were spotlessly clean, which speaks volumes about the care taken throughout the establishment. An excellent place that I highly recommend. We will definitely be back!

Even though the prices have gone up slightly (but not excessively)... the pizza is still delicious, generously topped with quality ingredients, unlike some other takeaway pizza places in La Bourboule. We come twice a year and are never disappointed... Keep up the good work, we'll be loyal customers! 🍕😊 I highly recommend Pizza Loulou! 😍
