26/12/2025: We went to eat at this restaurant using a gift certificate. Unfortunately, I forgot the certificate at home. I immediately asked if I could return it the next day, but the staff refused any solution, insisting we pay full price. I returned the following day with the certificate, requesting an extension for the following year, and again, they refused to change the date. No understanding, no gesture of goodwill. Very disappointing, a complete lack of business sense and human decency.

14/12/2025: Hello, we came as a group of colleagues. I ordered a cordon bleu with Munster sauce. I didn't receive my fries, and since there were several of us, they gave us four small baskets of fries to share. I asked the waiter if my fries would arrive, and he assured me they would, and that he was alone in the kitchen. So I ate my meat with about ten fries, which was the only thing that disappointed me; I was left wanting more. I paid for just a chicken dish. Very disappointed.

21/12/2025: A delicious dinner featuring local French dishes. Excellent service and quality. Very pleasant atmosphere with Alsatian decor. Highly recommended for enjoying traditional dishes in a very peaceful and welcoming setting.

04/12/2025: For almost 30 years, we've been going to Bords du Rhin regularly. Mainly for the fantastic pike-perch, which is simply something special at this restaurant. The Berna family has been serving guests for six generations, and it's a sight to behold as Monsieur Berna fillets the pike-perch. Among the appetizers, the duck liver, fish soup, and—if you'll excuse the pun—the frog legs are highly recommended. The wine list also offers very good, predominantly Alsatian wines at very reasonable prices. In general, the food is very affordable, which is why the restaurant is fully booked for both lunch and dinner. Therefore, a reservation is absolutely essential. If you've had a lovely evening here, and like us, had a rather long journey, an overnight stay at the hotel is advisable. By German standards, a rather simple French breakfast is offered the following day. But that shouldn't detract from the experience; after all, you're in France and eating there. You also meet many Germans here, because the hotel restaurant is located right next to the Kappel ferry. We will gladly visit Bords du Rhin again, also because of the lovely and warm hospitality of the Berna family and their team.

06/09/2025: We were pleasantly surprised by the dishes and juices, which were original for us who are not used to them! They are varied and offer an alternative to the classic burgers and other pizzas. The service was friendly.

10/02/2026: The pizza toppings were good, but the base was still doughy. At first, we thought we'd ask for them to be cooked better next time. But ultimately, there won't be a next time, given the owner's haughty attitude. He didn't even bother to look up when we left. Apparently, only certain customers seem to find favor in his eyes. Admittedly, it was our first time there, but we could have easily become regulars. On the other hand, his son, who greeted us, was much more pleasant.

03/02/2026: No 1 reason to go there: Pizza is excellent. No2: If you like driving your car, going out to a restaurant, find parking very very easily and spend a worry-free night ( like a normal human being). No3: cleanliness. The place is very clean and you may notice it, if you visit its toilets. No4: Friendly and welcoming staff (unlike almost all other restaurants in Strasbourg). Good job guys!

25/02/2026: I generally find the restaurant good, but unfortunately, when I ordered a burger, the waiter didn't ask me how I wanted my two patties cooked. And when they brought me my plate, one of the patties was burnt.

01/01/2025: A side street, a small shop and those wonderfully delicious hamburgers that will surprise you. I can say that it is the best hamburger I have eaten in a long time. As i who has traveled to many places in Europe, I can say that you should definitely try this flavor. The smiling face of the chef will make this flavor even sweeter. Thank you very much for this delicious flavor.

23/11/2025: Good value for money. Simple and efficient! The food is hot! Impeccable service and the chef's interaction with customers was appreciated. The presence of several dogs at the tables and in the kitchen wasn't entirely in line with expected hygiene standards, but it should be noted that the entire restaurant is very clean.

11/10/2025: Eleven of us went for my birthday on October 4th. It's a very, very good restaurant, with a lovely atmosphere, good food, and friendly staff. I think the prices are reasonable for good food. I had a cordon bleu with cream sauce, served with mushrooms; it was excellent.

01/01/2026: A wonderful experience! We had a wonderful time from start to finish. The food was truly delicious: the chicken rice was exquisite, perfectly cooked, and very flavorful. The young man who served us was incredibly kind, always smiling and helpful. The place is spotless and well-kept. I would recommend it to anyone vacationing in France, especially near Strasbourg. It was also great for us Italians; we felt truly at ease. We'll definitely be back!
