20/02/2026: Lunch today at La Porte Haute in Sarre-Union, and frankly, a very good experience. Generous and high-quality cuisine: perfectly cooked escalope in cream sauce, golden fries, a delicious dessert with ice cream and whipped cream, and a good coffee to finish. A special mention also goes to the simple but satisfying starter. Pleasant, quick, and professional service. A friendly atmosphere; you feel right at home. A reliable spot in Sarre-Union; I'll definitely be back.

06/06/2026: Excellent bakery. I go there regularly for lunch and the Caesar salad is fantastic! Their bread selection is good and original, like their pumpkin bread, for example.

02/07/2026: This pastry shop is a gem: everything is delicious, from the pastries to the desserts, not to mention the incredible chocolates! The products are fresh, and the staff, always smiling and attentive, make every visit a pleasure. We'll definitely be back!

30/06/2026: A magnificent pastry shop that has been around for over 150 years. The tea room is welcoming, tastefully decorated in a fairly modern style. The quality-to-price ratio is excellent. Unfortunately, the service doesn't live up to the establishment's standards. The two people there give the impression that they don't want to be there. Not a single smile. We ask if we can have coffee there. The response is cold, curt, and dismissive: "Yes, two coffees?!". We clearly feel like we're bothering them (to put it politely). It's a shame that in these difficult times we still encounter this kind of behavior, especially in such a large chain.

01/07/2026: A restaurant I've always loved... Today, a huge disappointment 😡 The food, which I wouldn't recommend at all, was of very poor quality and misleading. We ordered scampi risotto, and it arrived incredibly runny with tiny shrimp meant for stuffing tomatoes or avocados 😡. And to top it all off, the cook came out with his fly open, his pants unzipped, and his cap on backwards... The service was beyond awful, as if we were bothering him. We definitely won't be back.

30/06/2026: Passing through the area, I ordered a cordon bleu... what a disappointment! It was tasteless, reminiscent of a cafeteria dish from some remote region of Alsace, with frozen fries... and the dessert, a panna cotta that fell far short of expectations: a pasty, almost sickening coulis and a heavy, flavorless panna cotta. It was truly a horrible culinary experience. It seemed I wasn't the only one who was displeased. A neighbor at the next table sent his dish back. This establishment really needs to rethink its approach to cooking.

19/05/2026: This is our second time eating at this otherwise good restaurant, although one of the waitresses is always incredibly unpleasant and unfriendly to customers. Otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars.

24/05/2026: I ordered 4 McFlurries on Uber Eats, including a 2-for-2 offer, and once the delivery driver arrived, the order was cancelled and the promotion disappeared from the Uber Eats website without any explanation. I strongly recommend that you do not make any online purchases from this company.

01/07/2026: A disastrous birthday celebration. The service was terrible, the prices exorbitant (€16.50 for a small dumpling with a few tomatoes and cucumbers), a €3 extra charge for a side dish on top of an overcooked €36 beef fillet, and the ice cream for dessert arrived already melted. We had to take the ice cream back ourselves to get it replaced. Francesco was seated at our table and didn't bother to acknowledge the problems, nor did he offer any compensation on the bill. Their once-good reputation is now ruined. Tonight, they lost seven regular customers.

30/06/2026: First time at this highly-rated restaurant near Strasbourg. Reservation for 3 people at 7 pm. When we were seated, they stared at us intently for several minutes (we didn't understand why?). Once we were seated, they left. Were there three of them in a circle, staring at us? Anyway, the service was fast. My friend ordered an appetizer, and I didn't want one. The waiter panicked and didn't even know what to do… Then, when it came to dessert, the menu said SUGGESTION: CHOCOLATE FONDANT. We wanted two. The same waiter got all worked up about us, snatched my menu from my hand, took out his pen, and crossed it out, saying no, they didn't have it. My friend told him it wasn't crossed out at her house either, so he said the same thing: no, madam, they didn't have it. It's worth noting that the waiter doesn't speak French very well, so perhaps there were some communication issues? Another waiter asked us if we had ordered desserts, even though we had already eaten them. Anyway… Then, when it came time to pay, we paid separately, and he told us we had to calculate it ourselves because he didn't have time? I've never seen anything like it in my life. Whether I've been to fancy restaurants, small eateries, or even snack bars, it's always the waiter who does it. We were shocked, showed him, and calculated it ourselves (it took us 2 minutes), and Mr. Antonio came back 20 minutes later? The restaurant is nice, the food was very good, but the service was a complete disaster. It's shameful that a waiter made us feel out of place and was so self-centered. He should find another job! On the other hand, a lovely waitress with a bun and glasses, a brunette, was incredibly kind to us all evening! I won't be going back anytime soon!
