14/04/2026: Following my initial review, I returned and I must point out a significant improvement. The team was very responsive and attentive. It's encouraging! I won't hesitate to raise my rating if this level of service continues. 🙂 (Previous review below) Poor organization!!

13/04/2026: Clean restaurant. We had a very friendly waitress. The hamburger wasn't always hot, which was a shame.

26/02/2026: Very disappointed. We ordered a bad pizza and got one. We called to complain, and the person practically told us to get lost. They make mistakes often there.

30/12/2025: Fantastic! We ordered tonight, and the pizzas were excellent! One pizza was forgotten but not charged, so we said it wasn't a problem since we had five others! Surprise! A few minutes later, the gentleman returned with the missing pizza!! We highly recommend them! Even the lady on the phone was very pleasant!

13/01/2026: Disappointing and far from authentic Having spent a lot of time in Spanish tapas bars in Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg and Germany, my visit to Tapas Café Strasbourg was a real let-down. The sangria tasted industrial, closer to boxed wine than something freshly prepared. As for the chipirones, they did not taste fresh at all — the texture and flavor strongly suggested canned or pre-packed seafood, not something cooked à la minute. This is simply unacceptable for a place presenting itself as a tapas bar. Overall, the food lacked freshness, authenticity and craftsmanship. What you get feels generic and mass-produced rather than rooted in Spanish culinary tradition. Service was fine, but that alone cannot compensate for the weak quality of the food. Atmosphere may work for a quick drink, but if you’re looking for real tapas, this isn’t it.

29/08/2025: We came for lunch with the family. We were seated and asked to be moved because there was a draft, which we noticed was bothersome. The lady who was looking after us looked everywhere to find us a table as if it were crowded, even though there were only two other customers in the entire restaurant. Once we were seated, the knives were disgusting because dirty isn't enough, and the glasses were covered in fingerprints. We asked for a carafe of water, and that was another look that spoke volumes. For our meal, we specifically asked for an Alsatian salad without Gruyere cheese; it was brought to us with Gruyere cheese (thawed). The other salads had such strong seasoning that every bite felt like we were eating spicy candy. For the price we paid, I find what we had on our plates shameful. Once we were served, the same woman sat down at a table to roll a cigarette. Everyone was free, but I didn't find it great. In short, a very bad experience, a place I would never recommend.

02/05/2026: We tried to contact them by phone, but there was no way to ask them a question live before booking. So... we didn't book. They might say we should have gone online to get answers, but if no human being is available, it doesn't bode well.

06/02/2026: If I could give zero stars, I would! The hotel and restaurant are mediocre!!! The owner and his mother are awful, not to mention unpleasant! When I arrived for a room, the receptionist, who is also the owner, was so drunk he didn't know what he was doing! He couldn't even stand up! And as for the food, even though I'm not picky, I can tell you it was really bad. The only positive point is the view of the castle...

22/04/2026: Indian cuisine: was good and plentiful

20/02/2026: Extremely dated Indian restaurant near the campsite. It hasn't been updated in 30 years. The curtains also create a depressing atmosphere. Poor value for money. The husband tries his best to be friendly while his wife works herself to death in a small kitchen.

28/03/2026: I gave it one star because I can't give less!!! Avoid at all costs... the tables are disgusting and overflowing with trash, just like the bins... we have to clear it ourselves if we want to eat at a corner of the table... And the waffle was raw :/ .. I went to see the young woman who clearly told me to go somewhere else... a disgrace considering the price of the waffle...!! I will never go back, that's for sure, and I will tell everyone I know so they don't have to eat in such a filthy place... a stomach ache and an encounter with incompetent people. Good luck to those who try it next time. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

29/01/2026: Hello, Today (January 28, 2026 at 12:48 PM) I was putting my things down to sit down and then order some waffles. Before I could do anything, the woman with long red hair started speaking rudely to me, saying I couldn't sit down if I didn't order, which makes sense, but I didn't even have time to sit down or go to the register and order. She is extremely rude and unhappy in her job. I advise you to look for employees with more respect and motivation. I am also a student, I do pretty much the same job, and I never disrespect customers, even if I haven't had a good day.

16/05/2026: Beware, the photos are misleading!! Stay away! We had the pâté with salad and the gravlax as appetizers. The salad was okay, but the salmon was definitely not gravlax and, to be blunt, probably contaminated, because I had the pleasure of using the restroom several times within 40 minutes of leaving the restaurant – clearly food poisoning. Since my boyfriend was otherwise fine, it must have been the salmon. The main course was supposed to be a 'Filet de boeuf'. It was beef, but by no means filet. More like a roast... the taste was okay, but the potatoes served with it were bland and uninspired, and possibly even revived from the freezer. The salad was too much, partly soggy/old, and boring. Furthermore, it was the same salad my boyfriend received with his pâté – which he wasn't very impressed with. The service was friendly but neither attentive nor truly professional. Everything seems utterly chaotic and more like a hobby project of the three friends, and certainly not worthy of the location. The ambiance is quite pleasant, but the walk to the restroom with its view of the very questionable kitchen management was the final straw. When we pointed out that the website wasn't working, the two waiters simply nodded in agreement, making it immediately clear that details don't matter here.

16/05/2026: The waiter spoke very little English and seemed a bit confused. Despite repeated requests, he misunderstood our order and then brought the wrong thing. Our two tarte flambées were mostly burnt on the bottom. They tasted okay, but were overpriced. When we paid, they tried to charge us for the incorrect order as well. They didn't even ask if we enjoyed our meal. He simply took the incorrect bill away without a word and brought a corrected one. Of course, we didn't leave a tip. I can only recommend choosing a different restaurant; there are plenty to choose from.
