The staff spoke some English and were very friendly and helpful.

25/08/2026: Arriving late, 30 minutes before closing time, the staff were still welcoming and didn't express any annoyance about the late hour (which can happen in other restaurants). The portions were generous and the food was delicious. The cleanliness was commendable!

14/09/2026: For me, it's the best burger in Bordeaux, by far. The food is very good and the desserts are a treat!
12/09/2026: We ate at many restaurants in Bordeaux, and this one had the most expensive and worst "Croque Monsieur"! Thick slices of toast, not toasted, topped with ham and cheese for €20.00 – not gourmet food. Not recommended! Better to go two streets over; there you can get a crispy "Croque Monsieur"
for half the price.

20/09/2026: A beautiful space on the banks of the Garonne; we were there for a wedding, so it wasn't possible to get a taste of the cuisine.
10/09/2026: Fish meal: fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked, and a delicious side dish. A special mention for our waitress who made a homemade Americano even though it wasn't on the menu 👍. The setting is very pleasant.

I take an Uber there and back just to eat at your place, at least have the decency to update your hours on Google Maps, so we don't make people travel for nothing.
Apart from that, your restaurant looked good, I'll let you know what I think if I ever try it!

22/08/2026: A wonderful discovery! This restaurant is located opposite a shopping center. The interior is lovely, and the service is pleasant and friendly. The delightful manager immediately made us feel at ease. The cocktail 🍹 and everything from the appetizer to the dessert was delicious and flavorful – kudos to the kitchen! Excellent Pessac/Léognan wine. 🍷 And the outdoor terrace will be reopening soon! 👏

20/09/2026: A meal at a farm inn, after a 20-minute drive on a small country road, should be wholesome, hearty, and a good home-style meal. Sorry, but for €33, the Landes salad is meager: no gizzards, a foie gras medallion that lives up to its name, and with the half duck breast, no Sarlat-style potatoes, just a handful of fries... And definitely skip the mass-produced dessert; not even a homemade tart. We came, we saw, but it wasn't tasty.

The dishes were delicious and generous, no complaints whatsoever. The young waitress was very friendly and welcoming. Good value for money.
Highly recommended!
02/09/2026: We visited Le Refuge twice in August. It's a perfect place for a meal or a quick bite. Quality products and efficient service. Special mention goes to the (very) indulgent coffee, which leaves no doubt about its homemade quality and the expertise of the excellent pastry chef!

23/09/2026: I don't usually leave bad reviews, but the staff is awful, aggressive, and prone to assaults and threats. One of the bouncers was violent; he assaulted me in public and used pepper spray. I will file a complaint the next time I'm assaulted.
Not all pubs are created equal, and the Chartrons district deserves better than this.

Impeccable service (the terrace is a joyful and cheerful place).
The food is very good and varied; my only slight criticism is about the butcher's cut—I prefer raw shallots to caramelized ones.
The bar is very well-stocked; they even have Rye Whisky.
I highly recommend it.
