22/05/2026: Unfortunately, the restaurant is declining. A few years ago, the food was good and the servers were friendly and pleasant, and it shows from the dwindling clientele. We ordered lasagna, but once it arrived, the portion was quite small, and the pizzas have lost their flavor. The young woman who served us was kind and smiling, but another waiter (wearing glasses) was just waiting to finish his shift. He kept glancing at the tables, looking for a way to clear them. Once two out of three people had finished dessert, he cleared their empty plates without waiting for the third person to finish, which I found quite rude. We felt rushed out. We won't be going back.

07/06/2026: Unfortunately, my stay was too short considering the quality of the place and service, as I was just passing through thanks to a Smartbox gift. The welcome was very warm, the tasting included homemade dishes paired with local wines, and the advice on places to visit and explore was excellent. Regarding the location, the view from the top of the tower was beautiful, the room was very clean and in keeping with the surroundings, and the pool was immaculate. It's a shame it was windy and a bit chilly before I could try it out. As for the food, it was excellent once again; almost everything is homemade and very reasonably priced. The breakfast was generous and delicious. And the location in general is very well situated for the region. No complaints whatsoever.

22/02/2026: We received a very warm welcome from Pascal, who gave us a panoramic view (from a high vantage point) of the Sauternes vineyards and beyond, with insightful explanations. The meal and breakfast were excellent. Thank you.

27/07/2026: The food was good, but I was still hungry when I left. The service was very slow. There was a lack of coordination and smiles. Considering the price, the food wasn't up to par.

21/07/2026: We went for lunch as a group of eight: four adults and four children. First of all, we must highlight the excellent service from the waiter, who was attentive at all times. The food, a set menu, was delicious. The salmon tartare had a wonderful dressing; the Greek salad was very tasty with eggplant, bell pepper, feta cheese, and boiled egg; and to finish, a cheese board with cranberries. The adults who ordered the meat was also very good, cooked to perfection, and served with tasty potatoes. Everything was excellent. Bread and water were provided at no extra charge. We can't say enough good things about it. A great choice. If I had to find a fault, it would be that the coffee cost €3.50.

31/07/2026: Having known this iconic establishment since 2012, what a joy it was to return and rediscover the spirit and quality of the cuisine. As for the service, nothing to say except to highlight the kindness and professionalism of the two people present at lunchtime. I highly recommend this restaurant. 20/07/2026: We opted for the set lunch menu (starter or dessert + main course) for €20. The service was excellent: quick and friendly! The meal was delicious, flavorful, seasonal, and well-balanced. There were plenty of choices on the daily menu, both for starters and main courses (meat, seafood, vegetarian, etc.). It was lovely to have lunch in this charming square under the parasols; we highly recommend it :)

21/07/2026: A real gem! My wife and I had lunch at Le Poulailler and it was absolutely delicious. The black cod ceviche was simply excellent: incredibly fresh, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and prepared with great finesse. A huge congratulations to the chef, who offers generous, flavorful cuisine made with excellent ingredients. A massive thank you also to the managers, who are remarkably efficient, very helpful, and always smiling. You can immediately tell that this restaurant is deeply rooted in the neighborhood: the terrace was full of regulars, which speaks volumes about the quality of the establishment and the loyalty of its clientele. The value for money is exceptional. Prices that are more than reasonable for food of this quality are a rare find these days! A truly wonderful place that we wholeheartedly recommend. 15/07/2026: Following its inclusion in the Gault & Millau guide, we decided to try the restaurant. There's no menu, but they offer a daily special, either meat or vegetarian. We were delighted with our meal. Congratulations! Although it's a bit far from our home, we'll be back.

22/07/2026: We posted a review of this restaurant this past weekend, July 18, 2026, to express our dissatisfaction, particularly regarding the length of the service and our disappointment with the duck breast. This restaurant clearly doesn't appreciate comments and criticisms and responded rather rudely, referring to "contagious" bad faith and providing us with an extremely detailed account of our evening, including the time taken for each course! What professionalism! Firstly, the account of our evening fails to mention the long wait we had before our order was taken. Secondly, the service was mediocre (a waiter told us: "I don't clear the plates, that's my colleague's job!") and when we mentioned the long wait, the situation gradually deteriorated. A coincidence? Regarding the duck breast, we were told it was farm-raised, implying that we didn't know anything about it and that it shouldn't be tough and inedible! Instead of staying behind the counter, the manager should check the service and the quality of the food being served. As for bad faith, a quick look at the negative reviews shows that we're not the only ones acting in bad faith, and that many complaints concern the length and quality of service. A word to the wise!

22/07/2026: Beautiful view, prime location, excellent cocktails, and friendly staff. It's a shame the wasps drove us away; it was impossible to relax and enjoy our aperitif when no fewer than 10 wasps invaded our table. A pity, because everything could have been perfect.
