17/12/2023: Travel back in time with this cozy lovely quaint restaurant, with a friendly atmosphere and welcome from bubbly professional staff.
The fish and choose was delicious, so was rmthe chocolate fondant, a true gem in winter, that must be amazing in summer with a terrace at the back.

On Saturday morning there is also the market opposite 😉

25/09/2024: Bonne cuisine du sud ouest, produits de qualité. Menu attractif. Prix raisonnable. Copieux. J'ai adoré ma salade de gésiers et mon île flottante gargantuesque. Service à l'ancienne efficace un mercredi midi. Salle rustique pittoresque mais bruyante. Petit bémol pas de parking. Cheminée. Je recommande une valeur sûre depuis 20 ans.

The place is nicely decorated, the dish was good, but surprised by the portion of the dish alone at 15€ which was smaller than the version in the brunch at 25€ including 2 drinks, a savory dish, a granola and a dessert…
Reserving on the restaurant's website is laborious, you have to wait for the restaurant to accept while you choose the available slots.
I had to call the restaurant 2 hours later for them to validate my reservation request.
01/12/2024: Super good. We had a great time. We were a large group (and had booked well in advance) we waited to be served (no problem that it took time given our number). After 1h30 there, shortly after collecting the last drinks and dishes, we were asked to leave because our table was reserved afterwards. We hadn't finished eating.
Too bad, we could have been warned before.

18/09/2024: This was our favourite restaurant in Bordeaux! We had delicious food and excellent wines. We would have returned for a dinner if we had time.
10/09/2024: Surprisingly busy on a Monday evening. They do seem to close Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Smallish restaurant, just off the main square, on Rue Bouquière.
Nice selection of starters, the prawns and canellis both freshly done, the latter a trio of what amounted to spinach soufflés done in small cylindrical, flanged pots.
There was a meat and vegetarian option, includingbthe "chef's mood". The dorade (sea bream) was piping hot and very tasty, if perhaps a bit dry and overdone.
Nice selection of desserts.
They had local draught beer and a wide selection of other beverages, including wine by the glass or bottle.
The two waitresses were delightful, and the service excellent.

25/09/2024: A friend of mine said if I could get a reservation here while in bordeaux, I should, because it's sublime.
He wasn't wrong.
From start to finish, we thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Each dish's ingredients were explained to us, where they came from, why they were in the dish, and how it was prepared. Every dish was a star. The wine pairings were perfect.
So now I'm passing it along. If you get the chance to go, you should. It's sublime.
30/08/2024: Very nice food and a relaxed atmosphere. It’s run by a couple that give very attentive service. As it’s just the two of them sometimes they are busy with other tables and you have to wait a little but that is ok. Extensive wine list focusing mostly on Italian wine but with French and more adventurous wines from as far as Georgia. Very nice food but be prepared for a very fish focused menu and some very cleaver dishes
