31/07/2024: Le cadre est très joli. Le service est sympathique et efficace; la cuisine familiale est savoureuse : mention spéciale pour les spaetzles maison ! Moins convaincu par la terrine maison. Certaines crudités manquent d’assaisonnement à mon goût (concombre).

26/07/2024: Le site est remarquable : les hautes Vosges dans tout leur charme, l'accueil est chaleureux et sympathique, la cuisine "familiale" est faite maison avec des produits de la ferme sans frime ni chichi (mais avec quelques pépites). Que du bonheur !

25/09/2024: It’s a shame to give this restaurant three stars because the cuisine and presentation were both solid. I had the foie gras as a starter and the beef tartare as a main. My wife got the salmon with a side salad, and it came with mashed potatoes. We ordered a grand cru Riesling which was excellent. While the menu is limited, the restaurant offers an extensive although pricey wine list. The problem came when we were finished with the meal we wanted desserts and champagne but we sat for over thirty minutes with completely empty glasses - no water or wine - while being intentionally ignored by our server. This wasn’t a case of picky Americans in a rush. We were happy to linger but it was overly obvious they were short staffed or didn’t care. It ruined what could have been a perfect evening. Now we know why this place gets 4 stars and not more.

25/09/2024: I deeply feel suspicious of how the Michelin judges rate this restaurant as Michelin Guide... Perhaps Michelin should re-select more professional judges to rate this restaurant! For anyone who wants to try this restaurant, I suggest that you should go to other restaurants nearby. Croque Jeune Homme, the taste is pretty good, but one thing that bothers me was the bread was so burnt... I understand that you cooked this with butter; however, as a professional chef, you should know that high heat would burnt the bread, even though you wanna aim for the crunchiness. Angus Beef Ribeye, the worst beef dish we've ever had, compare to any restaurants in France, Canada, US, & even Hong Kong! I have no idea who the hell rate this restaurant as one of the Michelin Guide restaurants?! This dish is 55€ per person. We left 1/3 of chewy tendon & overcooked beef on the brass plate & plates, which my mom & I couldn't able to eat. It's like chewing a rubber band. I can’t believe I’ve spent 110€ on this lousy dish!!! Message for Chef Jean Kurtz, although I've learned French cooking in US & have tried many top decent French restaurants. Besides a long wait for the dishes, your dishes are far worse than what I was expected! We are NOT the only customers complained to your two servers, who were ONLY busy serving a big party downstairs & ignored the rest of the customers (upstairs) in your restaurant! Compare to other restaurants who were serving dinner on a Wednesday evening, your restaurant wasn't as packed or busy as other restaurants. It’s a shame that your culinary skills seemed going down the hill.

28/08/2024: Super friendly welcome and service, cozy atmosphere. 4 people at the table...Too bad the soup...fad water...with slices of truffle... The grilled foie gras escalope tournedos succeeded with mastery! On the other hand, the “perfect frozen pistachio nougat” dessert is pretty to the eye, but very dull on the palate! Dish to taste, without sugar? Tasteless like the soup of big disappointments on starter and dessert. What a waste. We won't go back there.

20/09/2024: L’accueil est très sympathique et souriant. Là carte propose un beau mixte de plats régionaux et brasserie. Nous avons opté pour des tartes flambées. Une au munster fermier si était vraiment très bonne et une à la truite saumonée. Cette dernière ne nous a pas du tout convaincu, il y avait beaucoup trop de jus de citron qui surpassait le goût de tous les autres ingrédients. Le café gourmand et la crème brûlée ont heureusement bien rattrapé le repas.

10/09/2024: On a atterri là un peu par hasard! On a super bien mangé. Retenons en particulier ces gnocchis farcis aux épinards agrémenté d'ne truite fumée et d'une petite sauce crème aux herbes. Un vrai délice! Le service est parfait et l'addition très démocratique. Donc à découvrir!

11/09/2024: Great place to get dinner in Eguisheim. Choucroute was delicious and the service was super friendly! No reservations needed.

09/09/2024: Excellent Alsace food in a nice atmosphere. Despite not having a reservation we were made welcome and shown to a seat within 5 mins.of arrival. Food was fresh, well presented & tasty. Portions were generous and the wine list extensive and well priced for the region .

23/09/2024: It's been a long time since we've been here. Fast and efficient service! Clean restaurant room and toilets… Calm and pleasant atmosphere… you can't say that about all the McDonald's.

12/09/2024: Unfortunately it rained and the inner resto was fully booked, because we had to wait we were in the restaurant invited to wait and have a drink. Pizza’s were good !!

11/09/2024: A discovery for us who were passing through Cernay. The pizzas were plentiful and good, as were the desserts. We find the generosity and simplicity of Italian cuisine. We will come back without hesitation if the opportunity presents itself.

28/08/2024: Cosy settings, sun bathed deck at lunchtime, welcoming staff, but a really disappointing ruinously expensive (26,50€) "ready made" steak tartare, drown into a stingy mayonnaise dressing - don't even ask them for shallot, caper, pickle, Worcester sauce or Tabasco sauce ! -. Sparse salad dueling the steak, actually identical to the salad served as a first course. No wines by the glass for less than 9 €. This restaurant deserves a name and shame commentary unless reasonable efforts are done to serve decent dishes for the money.

31/03/2024: Through a local recommendation we reserved a table in the Winstub for dinner. We felt completely comfortable. Food top and the wines; Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris also tasted good. The service was discreet and courteous. We will consider the restaurant again 👍
