23/01/2026: After our hike up the Col du Bonhomme, we stopped at this establishment. Even at 3 pm, we were able to get a typical hot meal, and then we had a very wide selection of desserts (lemon meringue pie, flan, blueberries, plums, tiramisu, rum baba, etc.). The owner is incredibly welcoming and answered all our questions about the local wildlife, explaining the wolves and foxes in the area.

15/12/2025: After a wonderful weekend in Turkheim and Riquewihr, my husband and I had lunch at the Relais Vosges - Alsace before a long 4-hour drive, and what a lovely surprise! We started with a rich and generous soup, then my husband had the Munster quiche, which was absolutely delicious. I had fries (delicious, perfectly crispy and plump) and two knackwurst sausages—it had been so long! I loved it; everything was perfect, right down to dessert (lemon meringue pie and custard tart). The staff is lovely, incredibly friendly, and very pleasant (I really don't understand some of the negative reviews; you must be incredibly picky... or a bit too self-important...). We will gladly return to the Relais on our next trip to Alsace. Thank you for this wonderful experience!

21/08/2026: Terrible service, incompetent and unpleasant barmaid with no respect for customers. It was much better before the new owners; the bar is empty, as evidenced by the fact! Avoid at all costs.

20/08/2026: A very good experience with excellent Fleischnackas, true to Alsatian tradition. The service was impeccable: the waitress was energetic, smiling, and very pleasant. However, the dining room is quite noisy (opt for the balcony). Prices are rather high. A good place for local cuisine.

22/07/2026: A very warm and professional welcome. The waitress was attentive, very polite, and smiling, which is rare these days. A minor complaint: why not offer daily specials during the week? But the menu was perfect. We will be back.

15/07/2026: I discovered this restaurant this evening and I must say I was delighted with my dinner. Excellent vegetables, a tender and very high-quality sirloin steak cooked to perfection. The wine, a good Côtes du Rhône, was also enjoyable. It's a shame the restaurant wasn't busy; this place definitely deserves a visit.

28/07/2026: Location From the outside, the restaurant looks rather unassuming and small. It doesn't have its own parking; you have to park along the street. Inside, on the ground floor, there's a large and a small dining room. Outside, there's a small, simple self-service terrace right by the street. Behind the building, there's a small covered outdoor area, as well as a two-story, cozy garden with tables, chairs, and a few sofas, nestled in the shade of the trees. Service: The service was consistently friendly and the staff occasionally cracked a joke without being intrusive. Most of the time, someone came immediately when we needed something, and the waiter was very attentive and anticipated our needs. Food: We opted for the four-course surprise menu (and made some requests). We were truly spoiled for choice, in the best possible way! The portions were particularly generous. The cold tomato soup was delicious and beautifully presented. The second course was a similar salad with various cold meats (crudités). Unfortunately, the main course didn't quite live up to the high standard of the previous courses: While the veal steak was enormous and the fries perfect, the meat had been cooked a touch too long and was therefore a bit dry, and the vegetables were already slightly brown from the heat. The sauce was a little thick and lacked a certain something. The dessert plate, with brownie, mango ice cream, blueberry cake, and chocolate mousse, was a complete success. I especially enjoyed the lightness of the chocolate mousse, with its hint of orange. Conclusion/Criticism: What I disliked (as I've experienced elsewhere) were the restrooms! They were rather oddly located in a small, former shed in the garden. The men's restroom had two urinals, but both were out of order. This meant there was only one men's restroom for the ENTIRE restaurant, which was also used by the staff. A wait was therefore inevitable. There were at least two restrooms for women. Regarding cleanliness, I've definitely seen better; the fixtures, in particular, were dull and splashed with grime. On the plus side, the food (the menu) is truly excellent value for money! The gravel garden, with its many nooks and various seating areas under the trees, is definitely worth a visit on warm days! I will certainly go back. Note for guests with mobility issues: If you walk around the left side of the building, you'll reach the garden at ground level. The steps behind the house in the garden are quite high in places.

14/07/2026: Good restaurant, we had the four-course meal for €42 and were satisfied. Nice, cozy garden to relax in. Restrooms are clean. Everyone was very friendly.

25/07/2026: Bland pizzas, crust far too thick, not enough topping, exorbitant price for the quality. Really disappointed by this chain, despite being recommended by others.

20/08/2026: Honestly, I have absolutely no complaints, it was an excellent experience! The chicken was delicious, perfectly crispy, and very flavorful. The portions were generous, and everything was piping hot. The staff was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and pleasant, and the service was quick and efficient. The restaurant was also clean and well-maintained. It's such a pleasure to find a KFC where everything is top-notch, from ordering to the meal itself. I highly recommend it; it was excellent! I'll definitely be back.

12/07/2026: Honestly, this is one of the best kebabs I've ever had! The sandwiches are incredibly delicious, the ingredients are fresh, and the portions are generous. Plus, the owners are absolutely lovely and welcoming. A special mention goes to their daughters, who are always so kind, smiling, and very pleasant. It's truly a pleasure to be treated so well. I recommend it 100%!

20/06/2026: I am very satisfied with this restaurant, however I don't understand people who call to place their order and complain that it's cold when you take your time coming to the restaurant, you shouldn't complain afterwards that the order is cold!

15/08/2026: An exceptional address in Colmar. An absolute must-try! There are restaurants where you have a wonderful time… and then there are those you're still talking about days later. JY'S undoubtedly belongs to the latter category. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the restaurant's ambiance: a magnificent, elegant, and welcoming decor, where every detail seems to have been meticulously considered. Nothing is left to chance, right down to the tableware and cutlery, which are true extensions of the dining experience. The service is on par with the cuisine: professional, attentive, and elegant, but never intrusive. This perfect balance is particularly appreciated in an establishment of this caliber. And the food… wow! Everything is incredibly precise, with flavors that complement each other, perfectly mastered textures, and an ability to surprise without ever losing its equilibrium. But if there's one dish that will stay with us for a long time, it's undoubtedly the stuffed cabbage with lobster. A true marvel. I don't think I'm still reeling from that dish… A dish as surprising as it was delicate, and above all, incredibly delicious. We also had the pleasure of chatting with the chef, Jean-Yves Schillinger, a moment we truly enjoyed. An approachable, warm chef with a great sense of humor… and clearly a penchant for teasing the locals of Eguisheim. Bravo to the entire JY'S team for this magnificent evening. Behind the excellence and precision of a great establishment, there are personalities, spontaneity, and a genuine soul. A remarkable gastronomic experience, a sublime setting, exceptional cuisine, and impeccable service. We left with smiles on our faces… and above all, with a burning desire to return.

07/08/2026: Our second visit to JY’S, and our first impression was completely confirmed! A remarkable establishment in every way: the welcome, the ambiance, the quality of the food, the service… Everything was perfect! A refined and flawless experience that truly deserves to be highlighted. A huge congratulations to the Chef and his entire team for this magnificent work. We will definitely be back!

11/06/2026: The food was very average for the price. The receptionist, a woman of a certain age, was not welcoming. Beer was €6 - one glass of rosé was undrinkable. This establishment has gone downhill. I won't be returning.
